Witch Training Manual: My Water Magic Is Wrong

Chapter 280 Today's Treatment

When Wayne returned to the hotel with the two sisters, the panel had already delivered the message to him in advance.

[Vera's Current Status]

[Location: Swan and Horn Hotel, third floor room.]

[Status: Head injury, initial treatment received by Anbesi, bleeding has stopped. Conscious and in stable condition.]

[Note: She was very worried about your situation. She tried to go to the church to find you several times, but Ambace stopped her. It was Ambace who brought her back to the hotel after she was injured.]

After looking at the panel, Wayne went straight to the third floor.

The two sisters followed behind.

Pushing open the door, Vera was sitting against the headboard, a white bandage wrapped around her forehead, with traces of blood still visible at the edge of the bandage.

When she saw Wayne push the door open and come in, she was stunned for a moment, then subconsciously raised her hand to cover the wound on her forehead, but then felt that the gesture was too obvious, so she awkwardly put it down.

"My lord...you're back..."

Before she could finish speaking, Emma had already rushed to the bedside. She knelt down beside the bed, carefully examining the bandage on Vera's forehead, her voice filled with obvious concern: "Vera, does it hurt?"

Vera shook her head, her tone feigning nonchalance: "It doesn't hurt, I just bumped into something. Miss Ambace has already taken care of it, it's nothing serious."

Emma knelt by the bed, head bowed: "It's all my fault... If we hadn't dragged you into this, you wouldn't have gotten hurt..."

Vera reached out and gently patted Emma's head: "Don't overthink it. I was the one who ran up to stop them. It has nothing to do with you. I'm just glad you're alright."

Ella also came over. She didn't say anything, but simply reached out and gently shook Vera's hand.

Wayne stood by the bed, took a step forward, and leaned down to look at the bandage on Vera's forehead: "Let me see."

Vera obediently tilted her head back slightly.

Wayne reached out and carefully peeled back a corner of the bandage. The wound wasn't deep, but the edges were red and swollen, bruises from when he'd bumped into the steps. He pulled a small vial of light green potion from his pocket, uncorked it, tilted the bottle, and dripped two drops onto the edge of the wound. The moment the potion touched her skin, Vera gasped softly, but the stinging sensation quickly subsided, replaced by a warm, comforting feeling.

Wayne withdrew his hand and resealed the bottle: "Get some rest, the swelling will be completely gone by tomorrow."

Vera nodded. "Thank you, sir."

Wayne straightened up, walked towards the door, and closed it behind him.

He had just descended the stairs when Ambace appeared at the corner of the corridor. Seeing Wayne come down, she quickly approached, her eyes filled with concern as she asked, "Young Master Wayne, I heard you had some trouble at the church? It's all over Bellino saying you and Assistant Bishop Dalton have agreed to a divine judgment, a duel in the church square in three days?"

Wayne nodded: "The news travels fast."

Anbesi frowned slightly: "Should I send a message to Young Master Roland about this? The Haizan family also has its own connections in Bellino. If you need, I can arrange for people to come overnight..."

Wayne raised his hand and waved it gently, his tone calm but his attitude clear: "No need. This is my personal matter, and it's an internal affair of the Holy See. If the Haishan family gets involved, the situation will change. It will only cause trouble for Roland."

"Then... please be very careful. If you need anything, just let me know. I have some connections myself, so I can handle things that the Hai Shan family can't handle directly."

Thank you.

As Wayne was about to return to his room, Ambace called him back.

"Young Master Wayne, wait a moment."

Wayne stopped and turned around.

Ambrose stood there, her right hand unconsciously pressed against her chest, a hint of hesitation in her expression, but she still spoke: "...Lately, I've been feeling a tightness in my chest, and my breathing isn't very smooth, especially when I lie down at night. The doctor at the shop saw me and said it was due to blood stasis, but the medicine he prescribed hasn't helped. Since you're a potion master and proficient in water magic...could you please take a look at me?"

The panel popped up at the right time.

[Anbessie - Actual Status]

[Diagnosis: Blood and Qi circulation is smooth; the patient is in good health.]

[Note: Her chest tightness is fake; she genuinely wants you to check on her. Her latent lactation issues have indeed fluctuated a bit in the past few days, but it's far from needing treatment. She just wants a reasonable opportunity to be alone.]

[Note 2: The life force aura emanating from you has a natural attraction for her latent constitution. She's been standing in front of you for less than fifteen minutes, and her racial instincts have already begun to awaken. The problem she wants you to "cure" isn't the tightness in her chest.]

[Note: She has genuinely been single for a long time.]

Wayne finished looking at the panel.

"...Okay, I'll take a look for you."

Ambrose's eyes lit up, and she quickly turned to the side, gesturing for him to come in. "Then... then let's go to my room? It's too noisy downstairs, it's not convenient. There's a rest room in the office upstairs, it's quieter there."

Wayne did not refuse and followed her up to the fourth floor.

Anbessie walked ahead and pushed open the door at the end of the fourth-floor corridor. The room was more spacious and more private than her office downstairs. A recliner stood against the wall, the curtains were half-drawn, and soft afternoon light filtered through the sheer curtains onto the dark wooden floor.

She walked to the low couch by the window and sat down, her posture perfectly proper. But Wayne could still tell from her slightly curled fingers and slightly averted gaze that she wasn't as calm as she appeared.

"Young Master Wayne, would you like some tea? I just brewed it." As Ambsey spoke, he reached for the teapot, his movements a little hurried, his fingertips gliding across the handle before he firmly grasped it.

"No need to trouble yourself, let's see how you are doing first."

Anbesie put down the teapot, sat back on the low couch, and unconsciously pressed her hands against her chest again, as if checking the "uncomfortable" spot. Then she leaned forward slightly, placed her hands at her sides, and said in a lower voice, "Young Master Wayne... it's right here, feel it."

Without hesitation, Wayne reached out and covered it.

This isn't a tumor, and it has nothing to do with illness. For Wayne, it's just a formality.

Twenty minutes later.

The treatment is over.

Anbesi sat on the edge of the low couch, her cheeks flushed all the way to her ears. She straightened her collar, her movements somewhat flustered, her eyes unsure of where to look, finally settling on her knees.

In the end, Wayne spoke first.

"Are you feeling better?"

"...Much better, thank you, Master Wayne."

"You're welcome. If the chest tightness recurs, feel free to come to me anytime; I have plenty of experience."

After he finished speaking, he stood up.

"I'll go down now. You get some rest."

"……Um."

Wayne went out and closed the door behind him.

The corridor was quiet.

He recalled Urasu's poem:

He stirred up fate and the mountains once again.
