Witch Training Manual: My Water Magic Is Wrong
Chapter 282 Leisure Day
Wayne stood under the hotel porch, watching Dirk and his group disappear around the street corner before turning his gaze away.
Footsteps sounded behind me.
Ella stepped out of the door, followed his gaze to the empty street, and then asked softly, "Master, are those your family members?"
Wayne nodded: "I guess so."
Ella said, "...They look so scary."
Upon hearing this, Wayne chuckled softly: "They're just a bit burly, not really bad people. It's just that they're not always the brightest, and they're easily manipulated by bad guys."
Ella didn't continue the topic, then as if she suddenly remembered something, she looked up at Wayne: "By the way, Master, your cousin Vivian has left again."
Wayne raised an eyebrow: "Gone?"
"Hmm." Ella nodded. "She said she went to the capital ahead of time. She said it was too boring following you, and that she has many believers in the capital, so she went ahead to pave the way for you."
After listening, Wayne gave a soft "hmm".
This is indeed Hena's style. She never stays in one place for too long, especially when she feels that "there's nothing new here anymore." And when she said she would go to the capital to pave the way for him, it wasn't entirely an excuse. With Hena's methods and strength, she could indeed be more effective in a place like the capital than by simply following him on his journey.
"Let her be." Wayne snapped out of his thoughts. "Once she gets to the capital, she'll find a way to contact us when she has time."
Wayne continued, "Where are Emma and Aya?"
Ella tilted her head towards the hotel lobby: "They're eating. They said they were hungry when they woke up this morning, so Miss Ambace had someone bring them a table full of breakfast, and they're enjoying it now."
Wayne glanced at the sky outside the window.
The morning light was just right, and the crowds on the street had not yet fully surged in; the air carried a unique freshness characteristic of the early morning.
He looked away and said casually, "The weather's nice today. Let's go for a walk together after they finish eating."
Ella paused for a moment, then her eyes lit up slightly.
"Really, Master?"
"Of course it's true."
Wayne said, stretching his shoulders. "But before I go, I'll take a shower. I went to bed a little late last night, and I still smell of medicine on me."
He turned around and walked away, making a joke as he went.
"Want to come together?"
Ella's ears turned red instantly. She froze on the spot, a hint of panic in her eyes, and then subconsciously replied, "...Really?"
Wayne stopped, turned around and glanced at her, then smiled: "You really want to?"
Ella's face flushed red to her ears.
Wayne withdrew his hand and smiled.
"Alright, I won't tease you anymore. Let's talk about it another time."
After he finished speaking, he turned around and continued walking upstairs.
Ella stood still.
She watched Wayne's figure disappear around the corner of the stairs, and only after a long while did she slowly exhale. She looked down at her toes, her heart pounding like a drum.
The brief conversation they had just had replayed in her mind several times. Although the two had been completely honest with each other, she couldn't help but feel nervous.
Then, it stubbornly floated to the surface again.
She raised her hand to cover her burning cheeks and muttered to herself, "Ella, Ella... when did you become so unreserved..."
On the other side, steam filled the small bathroom. Wayne leaned against the tub, closed his eyes, and relaxed all his muscles.
The panel popped up at this point.
[Witch Cult - Arrival Announcement]
[Status: All members arrived in Canberra this morning.]
[Details: Led by Christina, a group of twenty-seven people spent several days traversing two forests and a semi-dried riverbed, finally entering Cambella this morning just as the city gates opened. Along the way, they encountered a band of foolish mountain bandits; Lillian's stone statue smashed the leader's head with a single punch, and the rest escaped. No one was injured, and supplies were undamaged.]
[Note: Wendy activated her spying eye the morning she arrived in Cumbella, attempting to observe your location. She saw you taking a shower, but instead of immediately disconnecting, she observed intently. She is currently kneeling in the room, praying for forgiveness from the goddess of undulating waves.]
[Note 2: Halfway there, Emily finds herself addicted to you. She feels she can't leave you, so she's heading towards the capital to find you.]
Wayne glanced at the panel, and the corner of his mouth twitched slightly.
Wendy's physique is getting stronger and stronger. She still has the energy to spy after such a long migration.
He didn't bother to find out exactly how much Wendy had seen. It wasn't the first time anyway, and there was no point in investigating.
As for Emily, to be honest, he also missed her, since in a sense, shadow abilities were very convenient.
He changed his posture and closed his eyes again.
Half an hour later, Wayne finished his bath.
As I pushed open the door and walked out, I heard light footsteps echoing down the corridor.
Emma's voice came from the bottom of the stairs: "Master! Are you done washing? We're all ready!"
Wayne walked out of the corridor while buttoning his cuffs. In the lobby downstairs, three girls were already standing neatly at the door waiting for him.
Emma was wearing a light blue short jacket, her hair was tied in a side braid, and she looked very energetic.
Ella stood beside her, wearing a simple white dress and her hair half-down. She looked less reserved and more gentle than usual.
Aya stood between the two, still dressed in simple old clothes, but the wooden sword at her waist was clean, and her posture was much more upright than when they first met.
The three girls saw Wayne come down from upstairs, and their eyes all stopped on him for a moment.
Wayne usually wore a white clerical robe, loose and formal, completely concealing his figure. Today, he changed into a black casual outfit, the fabric well-tailored, the cuffs neatly gathered above the wrists, making him look less solemn and more youthful and refreshing. Combined with his blond hair, he was incredibly handsome.
All three of them brightened up.
Emma ran up to him, grabbed Wayne's arm, buried her face in his sleeve, and took a deep breath: "Master, you smell so good!"
Wayne reached out and took her off his arm.
"Stop messing around, let's go."
Ella withdrew her gaze and said softly, "Master, this outfit suits you very well."
Wayne glanced down at his clothes: "Really? I just grabbed one and wore it. It's been sitting at the bottom of my closet for ages."
"Then you should wear it more often from now on."
Ella unusually added a sentence.
Wayne smiled, didn't reply, and turned to walk towards the door: "Let's go, since the weather's nice today, I'll show you around Bellino."
