Logan sang at an extremely fast pace.

Wayne, suspended by the water chain, trembled slightly. He was about to interrupt Logan's spellcasting, but the next second, things took an unexpected turn.

Logan suddenly raised his hand and pointed, the ball of lightning that had gathered at his fingertip instantly transformed into a blinding arc of electricity, striking straight down.

However, it was himself who was struck!

The instant the electric arc struck Logan's skull, he convulsed violently, his hair stood on end, and he let out a series of incoherent screams.

"Waaaaaahhhhhh..."

Toren was stunned.

Wayne was also stunned.

Torren turned his head with difficulty, looking at his younger brother who was charred black from the electric shock, and his lips twitched violently: "...Logan?"

Logan hung in mid-air, unresponsive.

Torun shouted again.

Logan finally slowly raised his head from his unconscious state.

He glanced at Toren with a dazed look in his eyes, exhaled a wisp of black smoke, and after a long while, said in a hoarse voice, "Brother... I hit myself..."

Toren's lips twitched even more violently. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes in despair.

Upon opening his eyes, Toren suddenly broke free of the water chain.

With a stern face, he spoke in a strong voice: "Since you insist on forcing me, then I have no choice but to use that trick."

Logan's eyes lit up instantly.

"Big brother, do you have another trump card up your sleeve?"

Toren didn't turn around. He pulled Logan behind him with one hand and took a step forward.

He bent down slightly, took a half step back with his right leg, and stretched his arms out behind him, assuming a standard starting stance.

The air currents around him began to converge, and grayish-white mist rose from the ground, wrapping around his ankles and slowly climbing upwards.

Fragments of electricity crackled and flickered in the air around him.

At this moment, his aura was indeed somewhat terrifying. Even Wayne couldn't help but narrow his eyes slightly and subconsciously mobilized water elements to create a layer of defense in front of him.

Logan was excited.

"Big brother! Let's go!"

Immediately afterwards, Torun moved.

He shot towards Wayne like an arrow released from a bow, his speed astonishing.

Wayne frowned slightly, preparing to block.

But in the next instant, the figure abruptly stopped three steps away from Wayne. His knees buckled, and he knelt down, the momentum causing him to slide a short distance before stopping just in front of Wayne's feet. The entire movement was fluid and clean, without the slightest hesitation.

Not only was Wayne stunned.

Even Torun's dim-witted brother was stunned.

"Big...Big Brother?"

Wayne's hand, which had been suspended in mid-air, slowly came down.

He looked down at Toren kneeling before him.

Toren spoke, his voice incredibly sincere.

Brother! I was wrong! Please forgive me, I'm so magnanimous!

As he spoke, he pulled Logan up.

"Quick, call him 'Big Brother'!"

Logan was still reeling from the electric shock when the slap brought him back to reality, and he reflexively called out, "Big Brother!"

Wayne looked at the two brothers with a complicated expression.

Before he could speak, Toren spoke up, his tone half nervous and half ingratiating: "Brother, you may not know this because you're new to the dungeon. I was forced into this line of work. You don't know how many robbers there are these days. If I didn't rob some things, my brother and I would have starved to death long ago."

"So you managed to steal it from me?"

Toren's face stiffened: "No, no, no! This is a complete misunderstanding, a total misunderstanding! If I had known you were so powerful, I would never have dared to even consider such a thing!"

As he spoke, he pulled a magic core from his pocket, held it above his head with both hands, and presented it with the respectful gesture of offering a treasure: "Brother, this is a new item I acquired today. It's in pretty good condition. Consider it a small gift for you."

Wayne glanced at the magic core, then at the forced fawning smile on Toren's face, and didn't take it.

Wayne didn't accept the magic core. His gaze shifted between Toren and Logan, and he suddenly asked, "You brothers are so weak, how did you end up in such a deep place?"

Toren's smile froze for a moment. He slowly put the magic core back, sat on the ground, and let out a long sigh.

"Brother, you don't understand..." Toren slapped his thigh and said, "We brothers were forced into this! We couldn't stay up there any longer!"

Wayne didn't respond, waiting for him to continue.

Toren's voice was filled with resentment: "Up there, I used to make a living with my family's traditional skills. It wasn't stealing, but I earned my living through skill. My skills were quite renowned in the underground area. I was making ill-gotten gains, but I was helping the poor!"

Wayne glanced at the underwear in his arms but didn't say anything.

Toren followed his gaze and looked down at what was in his arms, coughed twice, and then said, "But! Just two weeks ago, I witnessed a filthy thing!"

"I caught the patrol captain's wife cheating on him with some random guy in the alley!"

"I wanted to leave right then, but that fat woman somehow spotted me. The next day, the patrol came and searched my place, and they found a pair of underwear, claiming it was the captain's wife who had thrown it away!"

Toren slapped his knee hard: "I, Toren, have been stealing for so many years, what kind of stuff haven't I seen? That size, do you think I'd even look at it?"

Logan nodded repeatedly, "That's right! Big Brother has good taste; he only steals from pretty girls!"

Torren slapped Logan on the back of the head.

"Shut up! Don't say everything!"

Logan covered the back of his head and shrank back in frustration.

Toren took a deep breath and continued, "Then my brother and I were wanted. We couldn't stay up here, so I had to take him deep into the mines to hide. That's how we ended up here."

As he spoke, his voice lowered: "We brothers have no choice. This place is uninhabitable. If we didn't have nowhere else to go, who would want to stay in this godforsaken place?"

The panel popped up at that moment.

[Torun - Additional Information]

[Toren wasn't lying. He did indeed catch the patrol captain's wife having an affair.]

[Note: The patrol team leader's wife is extremely obese and single-handedly provides food for the entire street. The leader also has rather unique tastes; he doesn't believe his wife would cheat on him, after all, in his eyes, she is the kindest person in the world.]

[Note 2: As for the underwear found during the search, it was indeed stolen by Toren. He couldn't shake his habit of stealing underwear, but he definitely didn't steal the captain's wife's. He took the underwear from the widow next door, casually stuffing it into his pocket as he did so, which resulted in it being found by the patrol team, making it a case of wrongful conviction.]

[Note: The widow next door is thirty-three years old. He stole her purplish-red lace-trimmed panties that she had left drying in her yard.]

Wayne silently finished looking at the panel.

He glanced at Toren, his lips twitching.

"...Okay, I understand."

Seeing that Wayne seemed to believe him, Toren breathed a sigh of relief and put on a fawning smile again: "Brother, you see, we've become friends through a fight. If you don't mind, my brother and I can follow you. Don't worry, although I'm not very strong, I know the terrain well and am well-informed. If you need anything here, just leave it to me."
