Hong Kong: Black Gold Tycoons

Chapter 54 Star, You Have a Rival in Love

The two returned to the living room from the balcony.

Chen Fei casually asked, "What are you talking about? Why are you being so mysterious?"

"It's nothing." He Min smiled, though the smile seemed a little forced. "I just asked about Ah Xing's recent studies and came to have an orange."

After eating some fruit, the door was suddenly opened from the outside.

Cao Dahua walked in, a wooden stick dangling from his mouth. As soon as he entered and saw He Min, he immediately put on a warm smile: "Teacher He, you're here? You've worked hard, coming to tutor Ah Xing again."

He Min stood up with a smile: "Uncle Da is back? Why are you back so early today?"

Cao Dahua immediately took the wooden stick out of his mouth: "It's all because of that kid Ah Xing. He insisted on kicking me out, saying that tutoring should be quiet and that I was affecting his studies at home. I knew it! When did this kid become so diligent? It turns out Teacher He was coming."

He Min said, "My friend tutored him today, Uncle Da. This is my friend Chen Fei."

He then introduced Chen Fei: "Mr. Chen, this is Uncle Da, Stephen Chow's father."

"Hello, Uncle Da."

"Hello, hello." Cao Dahua said with a warm smile. "Thank you for your hard work. Our son, Ah Xing, is a bit behind in his studies. Please don't look down on him because of his low IQ."

Stephen Chow's face darkened, and he said with a forced smile, "Dad, can you please stop talking nonsense?"

Cao Dahua ignored him completely and continued to say to He Min, "Teacher He, my son Xing may be a bit cheeky, but he actually respects you a lot. He talks about you every day when he comes home."

"Dad!" Zhou Xingxing wanted to rush up and cover his mouth.

He Min was amused and said with a smile, "Zhou Xingxing's performance at school is quite good. Although his grades are a bit poor, his attitude is very correct."

Cao Dahua nodded repeatedly: "That's right, that's right, thanks to both of you teachers. You've worked hard. Why don't you stay for a meal? I'll go buy some groceries."

"No need, Uncle Da." He Min glanced at her watch and said, "It's getting late, and our tutoring for today is almost over. We should head back."

She turned around, picked up her bag, and said to Chen Fei, "Let's go."

Chen Fei stood up and said to Zhou Xingxing, "Xingxing, that's enough for today. We'll continue tomorrow. Remember to memorize the words we learned today."

Zhou Xingxing cursed inwardly, but smiled and said, "Okay, Mr. Chen, thank you, Mr. Chen."

He Min walked to the door, then turned back to Cao Dahua and said, "Uncle Da, I'm leaving now. I'll come see you another day."

Cao Dahua saw him off at the door with great courtesy: "Teacher He, take care on your journey."

After the door closed, He Min and Chen Fei's footsteps gradually faded into the distance.

Zhou Xingxing stood on the balcony, watching the two figures walking away side by side downstairs, his gaze fixed on Chen Fei.

Cao Dahua, with a wooden stick in his mouth, came closer, followed his gaze downwards, and said with a sly smile, "Xing, you have a rival in love now."

Stephen Chow remained silent.

Cao Dahua added, "And that kid is even prettier than you, you're embarrassing yourself."

Stephen Chow snorted and raised his chin slightly: "How could I possibly be embarrassed? If anyone's going to be embarrassed, it's the guy who tutored me."

Cao Dahua asked curiously, "Why do you say that?"

Stephen Chow turned around, leaned against the balcony railing, put his hands in his pockets, and smiled smugly: "I've already told Teacher He that guy is gay."

Cao Dahua was stunned, almost dropping the wooden stick from his mouth: "What did you say? That handsome guy is gay?"

"I made it up," Zhou Xingxing snorted. "Anyway, Teacher He will definitely believe it. Think about it, how could Teacher He, a respectable woman, get too close to a homosexual? So, this rival in love is nothing to worry about."

Cao Dahua looked him up and down, chuckled twice, and said, "Xing, that's a pretty cunning move of yours, but... I like it."

He glanced downstairs again, but Chen Fei and He Min had already disappeared.

"But then again," Cao Dahua said thoughtfully, "what if he's not gay? If you mislead Teacher He, and the truth comes out, what will he think of you?"

Stephen Chow's smile froze for a moment.

He hadn't really thought about that question.

But he quickly regained his confidence: "Impossible, I made it up... No, what I said was all reasonable and well-founded. Besides, even if he's not gay, as long as Teacher He thinks he is, then he is."

Cao Dahua shook his head: "Then go ask Teacher He and see if she believes it or not."

Stephen Chow ignored him, turned around and walked back to the living room, where he slumped onto the sofa.

Cao Dahua walked over with a wooden stick in his mouth, sat down opposite him, and crossed his legs: "Xing, let me tell you the truth, you might not like it."

"you say."

"Teacher He is a good woman, and you are a good man, but the two of you..." Cao Dahua carefully chose his words, "...you two are not a good match."

Stephen Chow sat up abruptly: "What doesn't match?"

Cao Dahua counted on his fingers: "First, your undercover identity can't be exposed. If Teacher He really gets together with you, what will she do if your identity is exposed one day? Second, we don't know when this mission will end. When it ends, will you have to go back to the Flying Tigers? What will Teacher He do then? Third, her ex-boyfriend was also a cop, and he just got arrested..."

"Alright, alright," Stephen Chow interrupted him. "So, what you're really saying is that I have no chance, right?"

Cao Dahua chuckled: "I'm just helping you analyze it."

Zhou Xingxing lay back down, staring at the ceiling, his voice much softer: "I know these principles, but... Ada, you don't understand."

Cao Dahua didn't say anything more, but simply took the stick out of his mouth and picked up the fruit, showing it off vigorously.

Stephen Chow closed his eyes, his mind filled with images of Ho Man.

At that moment, Chen Fei was accompanying He Min on her way back to her residence.

He Min spoke very little the whole way, occasionally stealing a glance at Chen Fei with a complex scrutinizing look in her eyes.

Chen Fei felt her gaze and asked, "Teacher He, what's wrong? Is there something on my face?"

"No." He Min quickly looked away, took a few steps, and then couldn't help but ask, "Chen Sheng, do you... have any particularly close male friends?"

Chen Fei was taken aback: "What do you mean?"

"It's nothing," He Min smiled and quickened her pace. "Just asking."

……

Inside, Cao Dahua was eating fruit when he suddenly remembered something. "Xing, how's the investigation into the boss's gun going?"

"What kind of progress is this? All I do every day is this stupid homework. Damn it, I became a policeman because I was bad at studying, and now I still have to do this kind of homework." Zhou Xingxing wore a pained expression.

Cao Dahua said, "If you still can't find it, the boss will definitely use his deadly scissor kick to crush your head."

"Tch," Stephen Chow scoffed. "What kind of feet?"

"The deadly scissor kick," Cao Dahua said earnestly. "The boss used to be a TV host who called to ask about kung fu; he's got real skills!"

I wouldn't even give him a second glance.

"Since you've called me 'Dad' a few times, how about I tell you some information?" Cao Dahua said, "It's about guns, and it's major weaponry. I won't let you call me 'Dad' for nothing, how's that fair?"

Stephen Chow asked lazily, "What major weaponry?"

"Submachine guns, machine guns, grenades, etc., are they big enough? Aren't they cool?"

Upon hearing this, Stephen Chow opened his eyes: "You actually got such awesome information? Tell me about it."
