Tokyo: My Girlfriend

Chapter 7 Familiar Scenery

After packing my luggage and checking out of the hotel, I headed to the station to catch my train.

While passing by a doll shop, Kitagawa Rena, in a great mood, was attracted by a doll on the counter.

It was a rabbit doll, a black rabbit sitting upright on the counter with its legs outstretched, somewhat resembling the doll that Shinichi Kitagawa had in his bedroom when he was a child.

Rena Kitagawa stopped and looked at the little rabbit: "Shinichi, do you have one of those rabbits too?"

Shinichi Kitagawa followed her gaze and immediately understood what she meant. The rabbit doll was practically his mother's signature item, making it instantly recognizable among a crowd of dolls.

"I guess so. It belonged to my mother, but it was kept in my room when I was little. Now I don't know where my mother put that rabbit."

Reina Kitagawa's voice was cool and detached: "I want... will you buy it for me?"

Kitagawa Shin was taken aback for a moment, then teased, "Call me 'brother' and I'll buy it for you."

Rena blushed slightly, hesitated for a moment, then finally spoke, "Brother..."

Ok?

Did she really scream?

I was originally thinking of buying it for you even if you didn't ask...

We made a fortune! A huge profit!

Shinichi Kitagawa asked the shopkeeper how much it cost, then took out his wallet to pay.

This is for Rena Kitagawa.

This girl looks just like me, with long silver-white hair, a white dress, and now she's holding a rabbit doll.

How should I put it... it's practically a carbon copy.

The sense of déjà vu is too strong.

"Rena seems to be in a good mood today? If I remember correctly, this is the first time you've voluntarily called me 'brother'."

"Shut up." No way.

She was holding the rabbit plushie, her feelings were complicated. If it weren't for comforting Shinichi Kitagawa, who had failed to meet her in person, she wouldn't have called him "Onii-chan".

The brother and sister boarded the train together and rumbled towards Kabasaki Town.

After a day's journey, we finally arrived at this small town from our memories.

After getting off the train, all you can see are rolling hills that aren't too high. Everything around is lush and green. However, compared to the scene in my memory, the surrounding facilities here are much more complete than before, but it is still very different from the urban environment of Tokyo. There aren't as many tall buildings.

"Why are there no taxis at the station? That's strange." Rena Kitagawa looked around.

Kitagawa Shinichi had already anticipated this, recalling that there were only the two of them as passengers at the very end of the bus.

"Maybe it's because it's Monday, but I remember it's about a 30-minute walk. Let's walk there."

"Thirty...thirty minutes..." Kitagawa Rena said with a look of despair, "It's so far..."

Shinichi Kitagawa looked into the distance and was surprised to find a shopping mall a few hundred meters away. He remembered something and inexplicably laughed: "Wait a moment, I'm going to the mall to buy something."

"Why buy more when we're almost home? It's just adding to our burden. There are convenience stores near the house."

"No, no, no, Rena will find out then."

They went to the mall together. The mall next to the station was quite large, but there weren't as many customers as they had imagined, only a handful. Shinichi Kitagawa went to the sales clerk and asked if they sold bicycles or electric scooters.

When I asked, it turned out there really was one.

Seeing the two people pulling suitcases, the salesperson asked, "Excuse me, are you buying a tram?"

Shinichi Kitagawa thought for a moment: "Let's get a bicycle."

Rena Kitagawa looked at Shinichi Kitagawa in confusion, wondering what kind of brain circuit he had that would buy a bicycle when there was a train available.

"Shin-il, are you stupid?"

Shinichi Kitagawa ignored Rena Kitagawa's gaze as if she were an idiot; his main reason was that he wanted to experience what his parents had felt like before.

Moreover, cycling can also help you exercise, so why not?

Rena Kitagawa didn't want to complain. Oh well, her brother had been upset today, so she let him have his way.

The waiter led them to the area where the vehicles were located.

There happened to be another girl here who was also choosing, of course, she was there to choose a tram.

Although there were dazzling vehicles around her, the girl still stood out. She had long, dyed yellow hair that fell to her waist, and she was wearing a tight T-shirt and a short skirt with a women's coat tied around her waist.

Wearing combat boots and several colorful bracelets on her wrists.

The hot girl's outfit perfectly showcased her stunning figure.

The other party had obviously heard the people coming from behind and turned to look at them.

Both Shinichi Kitagawa and Rena Kitagawa were somewhat surprised when they turned around.

In particular, Rena Kitagawa blurted out, "A vixen, huh?"

The girl had extremely beautiful fox eyes, and because she wore pink eyeliner, her gaze alone carried a strong sense of allure.

Her features are incredibly beautiful and delicate; in reality, she's already considered the pinnacle of hot girls.

After saying this, Rena Kitagawa glanced sideways at Shinichi Kitagawa, who was also staring at her, and asked, "Do you like gyaru (gyaru)?"

Shinichi Kitagawa grinned: "I like pretty girls."

Rena turned her head and clicked her tongue: "Tch, scumbag."

The hot girl in the distance stared in shock at the silver-haired brother and sister, her fox-like eyes wide with disbelief, for she did not recognize them.

Instead, they were speechless because of the two people's stunning good looks. How could someone's character model be so powerful?

Especially this boy.

"Five ants..." It looks delicious.

She smiled and waved to Shinichi Kitagawa, taking the initiative to greet him.

Shinichi Kitagawa simply waved at her, which angered Rena Kitagawa so much that she elbowed the guy next to her.

Why are boys such creatures who think with their lower bodies? Do they always have to greet a girl who is proactive and pretty?

Shinichi Kitagawa felt wronged: "Why did you elbow me? Everyone else waved, I should at least give them a simple greeting."

Rena Kitagawa: "Did I say anything?"

"Is that the look on your face? It's like you're thinking with your lower body."

"cut."

The waiter found the siblings' banter amusing and introduced them to a mountain bike, saying it was very convenient to use in a place like Kabasaki Town, and even better than a train in some situations.

Kitagawa Shinichi paid for the purchase, and then bought a luggage rack and a passenger seat.

Anyway, they didn't bring much luggage this time, so it was perfectly fine.

Shinichi Kitagawa got on his bicycle, while Rena Kitagawa sat diagonally on the back of the bicycle, holding a rabbit in one hand and her brother's waist with the other.

The wind from their cycling made their hair, especially the girl's long hair, dance like flowing water.

"Shinichi, just ride slowly..."

"I know. By the way, would you like to go to the school later? To see what the high school we're transferring to is like."

"What's so interesting about school? But if Xinyi wants to go, I don't mind."

"Let's go take a look. I mainly want to do a quick tour of some places here, such as the school, the shrine, and the lake near the back mountain that is said to be a place for reincarnation."

"What nonsense! Do these places hold some special memories for Shinichi?"

"I guess so. I heard those places are where my parents used to go when they were in love. I'll speed things up! Otherwise it'll get dark soon!" He stood up and kicked.

"I told you to go slower!"

Shinichi Kitagawa first put his suitcase down at the old house. Before Rena Kitagawa could even go inside, he pulled her along to the places they had just mentioned.

Shinichi Kitagawa looked around at the familiar scenery as if he were a tourist, revisiting places he had been to across the world.

Rena Kitagawa's gaze was mostly fixed on Shinichi Kitagawa.

Shinichi Kitagawa: "Rena, I'm going to ride up the back mountain. The mountain road might be a bit bumpy, so hold on tight."

She held it with one arm: "It's tight enough."

As a result, the bicycle ran over a stone, making a thud. Kitagawa Rena was so frightened that she quickly hugged Kitagawa Shinichi from behind with both hands and closed her eyes.

The former turned around and asked, "Are you alright, Reina? I told you to hold me tight."

Rena Kitagawa's cheeks flushed slightly, her tone icy: "Shut up." She smelled Shinichi's scent, but a slight smile played on her lips.
