I'm transported to the Zerg world, and my female Zerg wife loves me so much.
Chapter 179 The Attentive Male Insect
Mikel, with his eyes closed, had shed his imposing military uniform and changed into casual pajamas. His usual cool blue eyes were gone, and his aloofness had vanished, replaced by a much gentler demeanor.
Her face was fair and serene, her long golden hair was spread around the pillow, her eyelashes were long, and her lips were a light red, making her look very soft and easy to kiss.
When Cheng Chu looked up and saw this scene, his throat bobbed involuntarily.
Mikel had been a female soldier for many years and was a light sleeper; even the slightest noise would wake him up.
Cheng Chu only moved his stiff body slightly, and the next second, Mikel opened his eyes upon hearing the noise.
Watching the male insect carefully lifting the blanket, Mikel said in a hoarse voice, "Good day, Master."
Mikel's sudden voice startled Cheng Chu, who was focused on his actions. His hand visibly trembled, and the blanket was shaken off.
Cheng Chu looked up and met a pair of smiling blue eyes. Mikel had woken up.
"Wife, you're awake." With Mikel awake, Cheng Chu was no longer so cautious and sat up, propping himself up on his elbows.
Mikel looked at the male insect and said, "Hmm."
Neither of them mentioned what happened last night. Cheng Chu felt embarrassed because he had cried so much afterwards. Mikel knew the male insects well and knew he would be embarrassed, so he didn't say anything.
Mikel was relieved to see that the male insect's eyes were neither red nor swollen.
The automatic curtains opened, letting in the blinding morning light. Mikel raised his arm to shield his forehead, closed his eyes, and asked in a hoarse voice, "My Lord, what time is it?"
Mikel didn't sleep well last night, his mind filled with chaotic dreams of the past. He dreamt of the kind smile of his female father, the gambler male father's curses and狰狞 face, his comrades-in-arms who had fought alongside him through thick and thin, the narcissistic Aris, and Marshal Anaos's instructions. The most terrifying dream, however, was that one day the male insect suddenly disappeared with their eggs, leaving him all alone...
Before dawn, Mikel was awakened by a splitting headache. She held the male insect for a long time before finally falling asleep again.
This resulted in the male insect waking up before him today, without him even realizing it.
Cheng Chu turned around, reached out his long arm, and grabbed the personal computer from the bedside table. He saw the time displayed on it and told him, "Wife, it's almost 7:20."
7:20.
"Hmm." Mikel pinched his brow, his head aching from the nightmare. He usually woke up at seven, and by the time he finished washing up and left his bedroom, it was a little before seven-tenths. Today, his biological clock wasn't working.
"Wife, are you getting up?" Cheng Chu leaned to the side to shield Mikel from the bright light.
Mikel lowered his hand, closed his eyes to adjust to the light, looked at the male insect, and softly responded with a "hmm".
He simply said, "I have to go to work."
"Okay, get up." Cheng Chu reached out and supported Mikel's back and arms, helping him sit up.
The movements were very careful, the force applied very lightly, as if afraid that even a little too much force would injure Mikel. This cautious manner made it seem as if Mikel were some kind of seriously injured patient.
That wasn't all. Cheng Chu lifted the blanket for Mikel and then squatted by the bedside, eagerly picking up slippers to put them on Mikel himself.
Mikel couldn't take it anymore when the male insect did that. He quickly stopped him, saying, "Hey, Master, no need, no need, I can do it myself."
"Ah..." Cheng Chu looked up at Mikel, her tone revealing a hint of regret: "Alright."
Looking at Mikel's long, flowing hair, he suddenly had an idea and said, "Can I tie your hair up for you?"
"Huh?" Mikel was taken aback, wondering if he had misheard.
Cheng Chu lay on Mikel's lap, staring at him with her big, dark eyes. She pursed her lips and after a moment said, "Wife, is this not allowed either?"
Mikel couldn't resist her pitiful act.
"Of course, Your Majesty," Mikel said. "Thank you, Your Majesty."
Early in the morning, the male was unusually attentive, eagerly taking on tasks that Mikel usually did.
She laid out the toiletries Mikel needed, quickly washed herself, and found Mikel's military uniform in advance to put on him.
She then pulled Mikel to sit in front of the mirror and clumsily tried to tie his hair with a comb.
As it turns out, just because you can see something doesn't mean you can actually use your hands to learn it.
Before, Cheng Chu watched Mikel tie her own hair, and she did it in no time, neat and efficient. Now that it was her turn to do it, she didn't know if it was her hands that were disobedient, or Mikel's hair that was disobedient, but no matter how she did it, it just didn't look right.
It's either loose and flimsy, or it's crooked; in short, it just doesn't take shape.
Mikel wasn't annoyed; he didn't urge the male insects and let them do as they pleased.
Finally, on his third attempt, Cheng Chu succeeded.
It's not loose, nor is it crooked.
However, Cheng Chu couldn't agree that it looked as good as Mikel's own work. He said somewhat embarrassedly, "Honey, I'm so clumsy. No matter how I do it, it won't look as good as yours. Why don't you redo it yourself?"
As he spoke, Cheng Chu raised his hand to untangle Mikel's hair.
"No need." Mikel immediately turned around, stood up, and rolled up his sleeves. "My lord, this is fine. I think it's good enough; there's no need to re-stitch it."
He walked towards the door while talking.
Cheng Chu followed and said, "Wife, I've never braided a female insect's hair before, so I'm not very good at it. Wait for me to practice a few more times, and I'll get the hang of it."
Upon hearing this, Mikel's lips curved into a smile, and she stopped to wait for the male insect to approach. She said with a smile, "Alright, Master, I'll be waiting for you."
Cheng Chu took Mikel's hand and walked to the bedroom door, then opened it.
0123 was seen waiting quietly at the door.
"General, Your Excellency, you've finally woken up." 0123's mechanical voice was unusually urgent. He said, "If you hadn't come out soon, 0123 would have called for help."
The general, who usually wakes up on time every day, overslept without informing 0123 beforehand. The program also forbids 0123 from knocking on the bedroom door, leaving 0123 feeling utterly miserable.
"Hehe." Cheng Chu leaned closer to apologize to 0123: "0123, I'm sorry, we got up late and kept you waiting."
0123 blinked its big eyes in front of the screen: "Your Majesty, it's okay for 0123 to wait a little while, it's just that 0123 is very worried about you."
Mikel stood aside watching the male insect and 0123 talk. He glanced at the time on his personal terminal, decided not to give them any more time to chat, and pulled the male insect toward the elevator.
As he walked, he asked, "0123, is breakfast ready?"
