One Piece: I'm a Hunter on the Grand Line
Chapter 79 The Unlucky Bounty Hunter
Everyone turned to look.
A two-track sailboat came up behind the Numantia Flamingo, and a person wearing a gray cloak was standing at the bow holding a megaphone.
"Whose boat is this? If you don't move it, I'll have my men ram it!"
A group of people appeared on the deck of the Flamingo and immediately cursed back.
"Look closely, this is the Don Quixote family's ship!"
"Get out of here! You're lucky today, if it weren't for the Navy..."
The man in the gray cloak drew a long sword from his waist, and the sound from the loudspeaker grew even louder.
"So what if you're a pirate? Don Quixote? You think I didn't see it? You've got a pirate flag flying on your ship!"
"My entire crew consists of powerful individuals from the Grand Line. If you don't move aside, I'll capture you all for the bounty!"
On the sea, the two sides argued more and more fiercely.
On the dock, Yelena's eyes gleamed. These people came from the Grand Line?
From what they said, it seems they are still bounty hunters.
Could he be a subordinate of another Shichibukai?
What brought them here?
Swallo Island is a gathering place for powerful figures; it's involved in the affairs of so many important people.
Bogart whispered a few words to the navy officer beside him, who saluted and jogged back to the dog-headed warship.
Two minutes later, he returned to the group. "The lookout had spotted the ship long ago."
Bogart frowned. "Why wasn't this reported promptly?"
"My subordinate asked, and the lookout said that a civilian vessel is normally heading towards the dock. Is there anything we need to pay special attention to?"
Bogart was taken aback. "That makes sense. We haven't reported this situation before."
He walked over to Karp and stood there, no longer asking any questions.
The ship blocking the way is a pirate ship, and people are cursing pirates. What does it have to do with the Navy?
The bigwigs at headquarters don't care, and Colonel Linde won't bother getting involved.
All the navy's eyes were fixed on the Donquixote Family. How would these guys respond to the bounty hunter's provocation?
Doflamingo looked at Garp again, who was still sleeping, his snot bubbles glistening.
Doflamingo looked at his subordinates, Diamante and the others, their eyes blazing with fury, clearly unable to tolerate being provoked by some nobody.
"Fufufufufu..."
Having held his anger in all morning, Ming decided to stop. He flew up on the silken threads above the Flamingo.
Those on deck noticed him and exclaimed in surprise, "Young Master!"
The man in the grey cloak on the civilian ship scoffed, "What young master? Even the head of the family is here..."
He looked up, his smile freezing on his face.
"Don Quixote Doflamingo?! You... what are you doing here?!"
His expression changed drastically. Suddenly remembering something, he looked at the people on the Flamingo with trembling eyes.
"The Don Quixote family you were just talking about, could it be...?"
The angrier Doflamingo's men were just moments before, the more arrogant they became now.
What do you think?
"Heh heh, kid, scared now? Too late!"
The gray-cloaked man's expression was filled with fear, and the bounty hunters behind him were in no better shape.
"Run!"
"How could we possibly be a match for the Seven Warlords of the Sea!"
The man in the gray cloak jumped off the bow. "Start the boat!"
A piece of string glowing with fire appeared in Doflamingo's palm, and he swung it towards the bounty hunter's sailboat.
"Super Whiplash!"
Whoosh!
Boom!
The massive sailboat couldn't even last a fraction of a second under the fire rope; it was almost instantly split in two and sank to the surface.
The bounty hunters lay shivering on the driftwood.
Yelena covered her eyes. These fellow bounty hunters are a disgrace to bounty hunters. Why don't you fight back?
She leaned closer to Bogart and whispered, "Are we just going to let that guy do it?"
Bogart cast a puzzled look at her, not understanding why Yelena would ask such a question.
He said calmly, "The Navy has no obligation to protect bounty hunters."
Yelena's expression froze. Her line of work was truly universally disliked. It seemed that hiding her identity was indeed the right choice.
"Doflamingo might vent his anger, but with Vice Admiral Garp around, he wouldn't dare kill anyone."
Bogart glanced at the sea before looking away, his tone calm yet full of confidence.
Fine, you're strong, so you're right.
Just as Bogart said, Doflamingo did not continue to attack after cutting down the ship.
He landed on the deck of the Flamingo, pushed open the hatch, and went inside.
Just then, Garp's snot bubble reached its maximum size and burst in front of him.
Snapped!
Garp rubbed his eyes, stood up, stretched, and spotted Diamanti and the others. "You haven't left yet? Shall I give you a ride?"
As he spoke, he habitually clenched his fist.
Diamanti jolted awake, immediately standing at attention, his head shaking so fast it was almost a blur. "No need, no need, we're leaving now!"
The group carried the corpses, leaping and bounding, and returned to the Flamingo at an extremely fast speed.
The pink pirate ship sensed its owners' impatience and swayed as it fled the port.
"Get out of the way!"
A group of bounty hunters scrambled around, trying to avoid the ship's path.
Karp exclaimed, "Oh no! Someone's fallen into the water! Quick, save them!"
He rolled up his sleeves, ready to jump into the sea, but Bogart quickly stopped him, saying, "They're a bunch of bounty hunters."
Garp's hand was already on the dock railing, but upon hearing his adjutant's words, the worry on his face vanished instantly.
"I see, they should be able to swim up."
Yelena pouted, "You're being treated differently."
She glanced around and, seeing that no one was paying attention to her, quietly moved towards the bushes not far away.
A brown wooden box is faintly visible among the mottled tree branches.
Colonel Linde, accompanied by several young sailors carrying luggage, approached Karp, and the group bowed to him in unison.
"Please!"
"Get on the boat, I don't have many rules here."
Colonel Linde watched his men board the ship, his eyes filled with pride.
These were all soldiers who went to Marineford from under his command.
Garp climbed the gangway onto the warship's deck, waving his hand dismissively, "Prepare to depart... wait!"
He had just shouted when he suddenly caught a glimpse of a slender figure hiding behind the branch navy members.
Karp strode over.
Oops!
Yelena ran behind the mast.
She had only taken two steps when Karp grabbed the violin case behind her and lifted her, along with her suitcase, into the air.
Garp reached out and shook it. "You're quite heavy. Now, tell me, why are you on this warship?"
Yelena sighed and could only tell the truth, "I want to go to the Grand Line."
A hint of surprise flashed in Garp's eyes. "What are you going to the Grand Line for?"
"Adventure, experience, and growth."
Garp nodded, his face showing appreciation. "Good idea. With your current strength, there is indeed a lot of room for improvement."
Yelena's eyes lit up with anticipation. "You agreed?"
"I refuse."
