"Trying to run? Not so easy!"

Kaido, caught up in the thrill of the battle, wouldn't let them leave easily, so he transformed into a blue dragon and gave chase.

Abel, however, spoke up to stop him. He hovered in the air, his gaze sweeping over the wrecked and burning Punk Hazard. "This is no place to stay. World Government reinforcements may arrive soon. We must leave as quickly as possible!"

Upon hearing this, Kaido glanced at the CP0 members that were rapidly disappearing into the sky, then at the burning research institute below, and at the powerful and clear-headed Lunaria youth beside him. His frenzied fighting spirit subsided slightly.

"Tsk, you're right."

He sized up Abel with interest. "Kid, you're not bad. The Lunaria race, I didn't expect there to be survivors from that race. How about it, come with me! Together, let's turn this world upside down!"

Abel looked at the imposing man before him, his mind racing.

Although Kaido is wild and unruly, he is undoubtedly the best choice to take Abel away from the World Government's sphere of influence at present. Moreover, his great strength and ambition are in line with Abel's desire to take revenge on the World Government and pursue true freedom.

He took a deep breath, suppressing his surging emotions. His wings, which had been concealing flames, fluttered slightly as he said in a deep voice, "Fine! I'll go with you! But what I want is not to be subservient to someone, but an 'ally' to fight alongside me!"

After Kaido finished speaking, the blue dragon soared away on the clouds. Abel, seeing this, flapped his burning wings and followed. The two transformed into two streaks of light, one blue and one red, and fled rapidly in the opposite direction from the Navy fleet, quickly disappearing into the vast snowstorm.

A colossal blue dragon and a figure wreathed in flames flew one after the other, tearing through the leaden-gray clouds as they sped across the sea where the snowstorm was gradually subsiding.

Kaido's massive dragon body rode on a cloud of flames at incredible speed, while Abel, pushing his fiery wings to their limits, managed to keep up, leaving long trails of scorching air behind him.

After flying for about half a day, we were long past the snowy seas of Punk Hazard, and below us was a vast expanse of warm, blue ocean.

Kaido's dragon eyes scanned the area, locking onto a deserted island with lush vegetation and the faint roars of ferocious beasts. He was the first to descend from the clouds, his massive body landing on a relatively open beach in the center of the island, stirring up a cloud of dust.

Abel followed closely behind, extinguishing his flames and landing steadily.

"Gurgle—"

A thunderous rumble came from Kaido's direction.

He had reverted to his humanoid beastman form, his nearly seven-meter-tall, imposing body standing like an iron tower. He rubbed his stomach and grinned, saying, "Damn it, after a fight and flying this far, I'm starving!"

His gaze, sharp as lightning, swept into the depths of the jungle.

Almost simultaneously, a giant wild boar, the size of a small truck, with protruding tusks and fierce eyes, seemed to be startled by the commotion of the landing. It roared and charged out like an out-of-control chariot, heading straight for Kaido.

"Hmph, you're asking for death!"

Kaido snorted coldly, without even using any weapon, and simply threw a punch.

The fist whistled through the air, creating a sonic boom as the sound barrier was broken.

Before the giant boar could even let out a scream, its massive head exploded as if hit by a heavy cannon, leaving it a bloody mess. The headless, enormous body lurched forward a few more steps before crashing to the ground, twitching twice before falling silent.

"Start a fire! Roast the meat!"

Kaido gave an order, then walked to the side, hoisted the huge boar carcass as easily as lifting a chicken, and went to a stream nearby to begin processing it.

Abel didn't say much. He walked to an open space, and with a slight thought, a small cluster of flames separated from the flames on his wings and landed precisely on a dry branch on the ground.

With a "boom," the campfire blazed up instantly, the flames steady and intense.

Soon, Kaido skewered the prepared large chunks of wild boar meat onto a thick tree branch and placed it over the campfire.

As the oil dripped into the fire, it sizzled, and the rich aroma of meat quickly filled the air.

Kaido seemed to have little patience. Before the meat was fully cooked, he tore off a piece of the fragrant hind leg and began to devour it, his mouth dripping with oil, eating with unrestrained abandon.

Abel also picked up a perfectly grilled rib and took a bite.

The meat is coarse yet chewy, with a primal, wild flavor.

He couldn't remember the last time he had eaten such normal food. In the laboratory, there were only life-sustaining nutritional pastes and various experimental drugs.

This simple grilled meat tastes strangely delicious, like something from another world.

The two remained silent, each enjoying their meal, the only sounds being the crackling of the campfire and the chewing of food.

Soon, most of the giant boar was destroyed. Kaido let out a burp, casually tossed a smooth bone into the fire, patted his belly, and then his gaze finally fell on Abel, filled with undisguised scrutiny and interest.

"Kid, tell me."

Kaido spoke in a gruff voice, "Lunaria, this is the first time I've ever seen one. How did you end up being locked up in that godforsaken place by those World Government bastards?"

Abel put down the meat in his hand, wiped his mouth, and a cold glint flashed in his eyes: "The World Government wants the power of our race, and the secrets of our bloodline. I was young when I was arrested, and since then I have been imprisoned in various research institutes, studied and experimented on like a guinea pig."

His voice was calm, yet it contained a chilling coldness.

Upon hearing this, Kaido's eyes flashed with a hint of understanding and a barely perceptible resonance.

He was once an apprentice crew member of the Rocks Pirates, witnessed the tragedy of God Valley firsthand, and was well aware of the darkness of the World Government.

Kaido chuckled maliciously. "Those hypocritical bastards, haven't they done enough dirty deeds? I was one of their 'experiments' too!"

He patted his rock-solid chest, his tone filled with arrogance and disdain: "But I broke free! With these fists, I carved out my own territory! The weak are destined to be dominated—that's the ironclad rule of the world!"

He stared intently at Abel: "Now that you're free, what are your plans? Find somewhere to hide and eke out a living? Or will you come with me and turn this world upside down?!"

Abel raised his head, meeting Kaido's oppressive gaze without fear. The black wings folded behind him trembled slightly, revealing the turmoil in his heart.

"Hide? No."

He slowly shook his head, a resolute expression on his face. "The suffering we endured all those years, the deaths of our people—this debt must be repaid! The World Government, those 'gods' of Mary Geoise—I will never let them get away with this!"

His voice wasn't loud, but it carried an undeniable determination. His newly awakened Conqueror's Haki seemed to be stirred by his emotions, causing the air around him to distort slightly and emanate an invisible pressure.

"Oh? Revenge? Quite ambitious!"

Instead of mocking him, Kaido's admiration deepened. "With your current strength, trying to conquer Mary Geoise is simply suicide!"

"I know I'm not strong enough yet."

Abel clenched his fist, feeling the close connection between his soul and another "self" deep within. That bond, which transcended worlds and supported each other to grow stronger together, gave him boundless confidence and strength.

"I believe I will become stronger than anyone can imagine, strong enough to overturn everything!"
