Jujutsu Kaisen: Nozomi no Sora

Chapter 8 The Righteous Path

"Should we go to rescue them?"

Standing far away on the hillside, Hua Yu asked Lu Suo a question that was beyond the comprehension of ordinary people.

Rōsō looked at the distant lake. Wōjō Sō's domain still enveloped the area, and those outside had no way of knowing what had happened within it.

He smiled, a hint of helplessness in his expression.

"I can't let anyone from the college see me, so I'm going back now. Go ahead and try to save them if you want!"

After he finished speaking, he turned to leave, but then Gojo Satoru's domain suddenly shattered.

Lu Suo and Hua Yu were both startled. A strange feeling, like an electric current, swept through their bodies. Without exchanging a word, the two instantly fled from the spot.

Although the plan had already prepared for the abandonment of Louhu, this outcome still left Lusuo somewhat incredulous.

"They were really wiped out!"

Lu Suo's expression turned ferocious...

On the lake—

Hua Yu never appeared.

That makes sense. The plot has changed now; Louhu is dead, so it has no reason to come back.

After all, Hua Yu is not like Lou Hu; she is more composed. Even if she were to seek revenge, it would not be now.

"Looks like they won't be making any more moves tonight!"

"I can talk," Gojo Satoru said casually, raising his head to look towards the hillside.

Xuan Yi was somewhat surprised. Although he knew that Lu Suo and Hua Yu were probably observing them from afar, even he didn't know where the person and the cursed spirit were hiding.

Gojo Satoru, however, seemed to have already noticed their presence.

"Even though I kept my domain active, I could still faintly sense the killing intent of another cursed spirit. Was it a connection between two cursed spirits? It couldn't possibly be a bond like friendship between humans, could it?" Gojou Satoru withdrew his gaze and smiled. "But as this guy's companion, he must be quite strong! It's a pity I couldn't capture him!"

"Did they escape...?" Xuan Yi muttered to himself.

With the Leaky Coral being directly exorcised, one of the four great calamities has been eliminated, which should significantly disrupt Lu Suo's plans. Although, given Lu Suo's cunning, he will surely have a backup plan.

On the bright side, Maki Zenin and the others who were seriously injured by Ruko in the original story will at least be much safer during the Shibuya Incident! If everyone can maintain their fighting strength after the exorcism of Tagore, perhaps Kento Nanami can also survive!

However, if Naokiji Zenin continues to be active, the problems within the Zenin family will not be fully exposed, and the path to awakening for Maki and the tyrant will likely be much longer...

Forget it, these are all things for later; there's no point in continuing to think about an uncertain future.

Trying my best to avoid the known mistakes of the future—perhaps that is my mission in this world!

It's definitely possible!

Although he didn't know what changes had occurred in Xuan Yi's state of mind, Gojo Satoru had already sensed a hint of determination in the eyes of the boy in front of him. He put his blindfold back on and a faint smile appeared on his lips.

"Genichi, you can actually control your spell power freely now, right?" Gojo Satoru asked in a calm tone.

"Uh... I guess so!" He silently raised his hand, and without the slightest delay, a gentle magical power instantly appeared, evenly enveloping every inch of his skin. "About two hours ago, I was attacked by a Kamaitachi. I think I learned it around that time."

Xuan Yi's tone was calm. He didn't really intend to hide anything from "Six Eyes".

He himself found it strange. Although he had unintentionally released his curse power when he was attacked by the weasel curse spirit, everything afterward seemed to fall into place naturally. He hadn't even thought about how to tame that power he had never felt before; now it was as simple as breathing.

"That's really surprising!"

Gojo Satoru recalled his first meeting with Otsuku Yuta last year. Both were young and inexperienced, but compared to Otsuku Yuta's chaotic and undisguised frenzied curse power, Genichi in front of him seemed so calm and pure.

Although the total amount of his magical power might be far less than that of Yi Gu, his extremely delicate control over magical power made him realize that the boy in front of him was an undisputed genius of magical arts!

Upon hearing this, Hisahito Itadori immediately became agitated.

"Two hours? You must be kidding!"

His face was filled with shock; in fact, this guy had maintained this expression ever since he watched a battle between a top-tier cursed spirit and the strongest cursed technique of the era.

"It's okay, Dr. Huzhang. Everyone has their own strengths! Relax, relax."

Gojo Satoru offered a perfunctory reassurance to Itadori Yuujin, then took out his phone and dialed Iji Tomo's number.

"Let's go back!"

About half an hour later, the three returned to the college.

Itadori was sent back to continue watching the movie, while Gojo Satoru, who had arranged to meet with Principal Yagami to discuss the exchange meeting with the Kyoto campus, was already more than an hour late and was bound to get a scolding.

"Xuan Yi's clothes are so tattered they're unwearable. If we expedite things, the high school's custom-made uniform can be finished by tomorrow. Until then, let's get him dressed in these clothes!"

After Gojo Satoru finished speaking, Ichiji respectfully brought over a set of white uniforms.

This outfit looks familiar.

"These are Yuta's clothes from last year, they fit him perfectly, don't they!"

Well, there's not much to complain about...

When I met Principal Moth, it was already 8:30 p.m.

In a dimly lit room with flickering candlelight, Masamichi Yamo sat at the far end of the room with a gloomy expression. Strangely, the room was dark, and he was still wearing his sunglasses as always.

He was skillfully and delicately doing needlework, a scene full of girlish charm that made it hard to associate with his image as a scruffy, middle-aged man!

"Hi, Principal Nocturne!" Gojo Satoru greeted him in a flippant manner.

"I've completely given up hope of getting you to change that willful and reckless attitude, although that's always been my opinion," said Masamichi Nightmo in a somber tone. "But this time you're a full hour and a half late, shouldn't you at least offer a proper explanation?"

"Haha! Sorry, sorry!" Gojo Satoru scratched his head. "It was an unexpected situation. Exorcising a top-tier cursed spirit always takes some time!"

"A top-tier cursed spirit?" Night Moth Masakado stopped his needlework.

"Yes, it seems that the unregistered top-tier beings have even developed intelligence."

Gojo Satoru squatted down in front of Nocturne, looking at the strangely shaped doll in his hand, his expression slowly becoming serious.

"They seem to be forming cliques, cooperating just like humans! But our sorcerers are only busy choosing sides; aren't we falling behind?"

Masamichi Yagami remained silent. He had once been Gojo Satoru's teacher, so he knew what his disciple was trying to say: Gojo Satoru hated the current corrupt and conservative structure of the jutsu world.

However, the reality is that it is almost impossible to carry out a top-down reform of sorcery without bloodshed...

Ironically, all he, as the principal, could do was work for those people.

Wu Tiao Wu was still chattering away in my ear.

"You're listening, aren't you! I don't know which idiot came up with this idea, sending first-year students to search for people in the territory of a special-grade cursed fetus. They're after Yuujin, aren't they? The other two are my students anyway, so consider it a warning to me, right? Why not just wipe out the entire high school? There are plenty of kids in their families willing to go and die!"

"This is getting more and more outrageous, Wu!" Moth's expression became even more serious. He glanced at Xuan Yi, who was standing at the door, and sighed silently. "So, what trouble has this brat gotten into? And he's wearing Yi Gu's clothes."

Xuan Yi shivered when he met the stern gaze of the Night Moth Righteous Path through a pair of sunglasses.

"No, Xuan Yi is a good kid!"

As Gojo Satoru spoke, he gave Genichi a thumbs-up behind him, and Genichi could only smile awkwardly.

He was now more afraid of the cursed corpses around the moth, just like Hisahito Itadori was subjected to soul-searching when he first entered the academy. He figured he would have to go through the same thing himself!

Honestly, it's so awkward to have a man in his thirties talking about passion and beliefs!

Moreover, if I were to fight those cursed corpses, I probably wouldn't last more than a few rounds!

"Is that so? Then why don't you just take him to enroll in school?" Masamichi Yagami said calmly.

"Huh?"

This result surprised Xuan Yi somewhat.

"What's wrong? Do you have some other request?" Night Moth looked at Xuan Yi's bewildered expression, somewhat puzzled.

"No...no." Xuan Yi gave a helpless laugh.

Not long ago, when he learned that he was coming to see Night Moth, Itajō mysteriously dragged Genichi along and said a lot of bad things about the principal. He couldn't very well say: "Someone told me that Principal Night Moth is a very troublesome person!"

Ignoring Genichi's embarrassment, Gojo Satoru stood up, a satisfied smile on his lips.

"We can take care of the formalities tomorrow!"

As he spoke, he began to slowly stretch his muscles and bones.

"Before that, Xuan Yi, fight me in front of Principal Nightmoth!"
