……

The opponent immediately went berserk, and with its superior size and strength, its frenzied attacks overwhelmed Isaac, putting him at a disadvantage and forcing him to passively take the hits.

[Brutal Strike]

A large flail swept across, and combined with the gnoll chieftain's long arm, Isaac was unable to escape the attack range and had no choice but to raise his shield and take the hit.

A snapping sound rang out, and the already battered shield shattered with a crash. Isaac staggered back three or four steps to dissipate the terrifying force, a sharp pain shooting through his left arm. He immediately discarded the shield handle.

"What a monster! I should have brought a spear."

The opponent's robust body was like a wall, standing 2.5 meters tall with long limbs, and its wide attack range made it difficult for Isaac to approach.

As a seasoned veteran, Isaac is proficient in many weapons, including the spear, which is particularly effective against large creatures.

After the two fought for a while, Isaac's divine bloodline went berserk, and he was finally able to contend with the gnoll leader who had gone berserk.

After losing his shield, Isaac became much more agile. His divine eyes observed the opponent's attack movements and he rolled to dodge in advance.

A thick flail with an iron chain swept across, whistling as it passed overhead, smashing into the weathered temple wall and creating a large crater the size of a bucket.

The terrifying power made Isaac's expression change. Without his shield, if he were to take a direct hit, his hard leather armor wouldn't be able to withstand it.

This gnoll leader is incredibly powerful; he's the strongest opponent Isaac has ever faced, and probably an entire Sandwalker squad wouldn't be a match for him!

Just then, Jin Tong keenly observed that the other party's movements stiffened for a moment.

"It's time for the rampage to begin."

Isaac, who had been on the defensive since the start of the battle, had been secretly accumulating strength and finally had the opportunity to counterattack.

Seizing the opportunity, he rolled low to the ground to close the distance with his opponent, while simultaneously slashing out with his curved blade, tearing open the opponent's calf muscle.

The move was somewhat clumsy but effective. The gnoll leader let out a howl and then slammed his palm downwards, his sharp claws tearing through the hard leather armor on his back.

The terrifying force of the blow impacted Isaac's internal organs, but fortunately, his physique was strong enough that he could withstand the blow without much effect.

Isaac stood up again; his opponent's calf muscle was broken, and he was noticeably slow to turn.

So they started circling around his injured left side, attacking his left side area, which also prevented him from using his right flail, forcing him to use his left claws to attack.

[A surge of action]

Isaac continued his attacks, leaving numerous deep, bone-revealing wounds on Isaac's body with his scimitar, but none of them hit any vital organs, so he couldn't be killed anytime soon.

After circling halfway around, Isaac discarded his scimitar, drew his dagger from his waist, and pounced on his opponent's back. His left arm tightly gripped the opponent's thick neck, while his right hand stabbed repeatedly with the dagger.

Blood gushed from the gnoll leader's neck, and he thrashed his claws backward.

Isaac felt a sharp pain in his arms and back, and even his scalp was torn apart by claws. Strands of his broken golden hair fell to the ground, and blood flowed down his forehead, staining his golden eyes red.

With one more forceful thrust, the wounded Isaac finally released his grip, creating distance between himself and his enemy.

Despite the gushing blood from his neck wound, the brutal gnoll leader tried to pounce on Isaac, but was pulled away by the opportunity.

Finally, he collapsed to his knees, his massive body crashing down, raising a cloud of visible dust.

Isaac, his face covered in blood, had just managed a smile as he wiped the blood from the golden pupil between his eyebrows when he suddenly felt dizzy and his steps faltered.

"It took too long to awaken the divine golden eyes! And~"

Burning! His body was burning hot, his heart was pounding, and his blood was boiling! The prolonged surge of blood was putting a tremendous strain on Isaac's body.

Leaning against a pillar for a short rest allowed my body temperature and heart rate to come down. As for the injuries, which looked horrifying, they were actually just superficial wounds.

-----------------

The remaining Sandwalkers on the other side were in a worse situation.

Even though Isaac single-handedly stopped the formidable leader, Antontans and his companions were also engaged in a melee with a large number of gnolls, leaving two human corpses on the ground.

The desert ranger, caught in close combat, abandoned his bow and arrow, took up his scimitar, and engaged the enemy in melee combat. His swordsmanship was extremely fierce, with each move aimed at the enemy's vital points.

After the female druid used nature magic to help Antons recover from his injuries, she ran out of spell slots and could only transform into a two-headed, desperate hound, which was then chased away by the gnolls.

After the wanderer Liam ambushed and killed a gnoll, he was chased by his companions and disappeared without a trace.

The still-immature desert monitor lizard was subjected to pressure that should not befall someone its age, surrounded and attacked by three gnolls, its body covered with knife and axe wounds.

Two gnolls were bitten and poisoned, collapsing helplessly in the corner and losing their ability to fight.

Seven or eight gnolls remained on the field, locked in a fierce battle with the sandwalkers. Both sides had reached their physical limits and were fighting purely out of sheer willpower.

If you don't fight, you'll die!

Antontans was surrounded by two gnolls. He used his shield to withstand the attacks and then killed one of them with his short sword.

The enemy's axe struck his shoulder, his short sword fell to the ground, and he was forced to retreat while holding his shield.

Death was imminent; the gnoll's face was contorted with rage, and saliva dripped from the corners of his mouth!

A heavy curved blade attacked from behind, splitting the back of his head open, and the gnoll fell to the ground without a sound.

Antontans looked up and saw that the Divine Warrior's face was covered in blood, and he had several obvious wounds on his body, with the edges of his flesh slightly curled.

Isaac smiled at him, a rather awkward smile, and then went to help the rest of the team.

First, he helped the ranger kill the enemy, allowing him to pick up the dropped wooden bow and arrows and assist in ranged attacks.

Antontans threw the round shield to Isaac, whose arm, which he used to wield weapons, was injured and had lost most of his fighting ability.

Isaac, wielding a scimitar and shield, did not activate his golden eyes again. Relying on his combat experience, he fought off the enemies and killed three or four gnolls.

Five or six minutes later, the battle finally ended. The adventure team worked together to kill all the gnolls, and the wounded members were finally able to catch their breath, thankful to have survived.

No! Not yet. Two hurried footsteps came from the inner passage of the temple. Looking up, one could see the wanderer being chased by a gnoll.

Upon seeing the corpses of their people scattered throughout the hall, the gnolls showed fear, abandoned their pursuit of Liam, turned and fled, and quickly disappeared from sight.
