Chapter 7 Unrestrained and Extravagant Choi Sulli

When the van came to a stop in front of SM Entertainment, Choi Sulli was still humming a song.

She didn't even know what she was humming about.

Park Jung-soo turned to look at her, his eyes filled with complex emotions: "Sulli, are you sure you're really alright?"

"It's okay."

Park Jung-soo sighed. He had been with Choi Sulli for three years, seen her laugh, saw her cry, and most of the time she just spaced out.

Today's Sulli is different; she seems to have regained some of the carefree joy she had a few years ago.

"Sherry, the president is waiting for you upstairs. Watch your words."

"understood."

She pushed open the car door and strode confidently into the company.

As she entered the company gate, some junior colleagues and trainees greeted her respectfully: "Hello, Sulli senior."

"hello."

A little girl suddenly spoke up: "You look so beautiful today, senior."

"When am I not beautiful?" Choi Sulli's face radiated beauty.

The little girl was stunned.

Choi Sulli stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for her floor.

Her smile faded slightly as the elevator doors closed.

Kim Young-min.

She used to be afraid of him.

Now...

Choi Sulli walked over, knocked on the door, and then pushed open the door to Kim Young-min's office.

Kim Young-min sat behind his desk, holding a cell phone and talking on the phone.

He frowned when he saw her come in, then hung up the phone.

"Sherry, you should knock before coming in," Kim Young-min said softly.

"Go ahead and knock!" Choi Sulli looked at him.

"Have you reconciled with that Chinese person?" Kim Young-min shook his head and got straight to the point.

"right."

Why?

"Because I want to."

Kim Young-min tapped his fingers twice on the table, the rhythm slow and deliberate. "The company has decided to sue. Don't you know about your current situation?"

"I know!" Sulli interrupted him, "but I don't care, and he's not an anti."

Kim Young-min stared at her for two seconds.

"Sherry, you're in great shape today." He changed his tone, "but artists should be self-aware. The company is protecting your image."

"President Kim."

Kim Young-min felt interrupted and frowned again.

"I'll say it again," Choi Sulli said calmly, "this matter is over. You are the president, you can fire me, you can sideline me, but you can't forgive people I don't want to forgive, nor can you sue people I don't want to sue."

Kim Young-min's hand moved again, then clenched into a fist.

Choi Sulli is very serious.

He took a deep breath and forced a smile: "Shirley, you're tired. Go back and rest. Let's leave it at that."

As Choi Sulli reached the door, Kim Young-min's voice came from behind her: "Sulli, remember to take your medicine on time."

She stopped walking, but didn't turn around.

The corners of his mouth slowly turned up.

"I haven't forgotten." She opened the door. "It's just that now, I don't need it anymore."

The door slammed shut.

Kim Young-min sat behind his desk, his expression finally cracking.

He picked up his phone and dialed a number: "Send me Choi Sulli's recent schedule, the whole thing."

After hanging up the phone, I glanced at the doorway one last time.

"Is she crazy?" he muttered.

In the corridor, Choi Sulli took a few steps, her heart starting to race.

Cool.

So this is what it feels like to roast someone.

She used to live very cautiously, afraid of offending anyone or making anyone unhappy. As a result, she offended many people and didn't make herself happy either.

For the rest of her days, she decided to change her way of life.

She stepped into the elevator and pressed the button for the first floor.

Just as the elevator doors were about to close, a hand reached in and blocked them.

"Wait a moment."

Choi Sulli looked up and paused for a moment.

It's Krystal Jung.

She was wearing a black turtleneck sweater and jeans, her hair was loose, and she wasn't wearing much makeup. She was also taken aback when she saw Choi Sulli.

The two stared at each other for two seconds.

Krystal Jung walked in and stood next to Sulli.

"Sulli..." Krystal Jung spoke first, with a hint of hesitation.

"Little Crystal, I..."

Silence again.

The elevator went down, and the numbers jumped one by one.

Choi Sulli turned her head to look at her.

They practiced together, debuted together, lived in the dormitory together, and sang and danced together on stage.

When she left the group, Krystal didn't say anything, but on the day she left, Krystal sat in the practice room all night.

They saw each other less often after that.

She was practically sidelined, and because of Jessica's situation, she became quite depressed.

Their own romantic relationships and their departure from the group have indeed caused them a lot of trouble.

Some cracks eventually appeared.

"How have you been lately?" Krystal asked.

Sulli did not answer.

She simply turned around, opened her arms, and hugged Krystal Jung.

They were holding each other very tightly.

Krystal Jung froze on the spot.

"Sherry?"

"I'm sorry." Sulli's voice was muffled on Krystal's shoulder, a little hard to hear, but Krystal heard it clearly.

"Sorry for what?"

Choi Sulli did not explain.

She has so many things she wants to apologize for.

I'm sorry for leaving the group, I'm sorry for those messages I didn't reply to, I'm sorry for those days when we should have met but I made excuses to postpone it, I'm sorry I wasn't by your side when you were going through the hardest time.

But these words were a bit too harsh.

"I'm sorry."

Krystal froze for two seconds, then slowly placed her hand on Sulli's back and patted her.

"It's okay," she said. "I don't even know what you're apologizing for, but it's okay."

Choi Sulli laughed, and tears streamed down her face.

"Little Crystal."

"You'll act in a lot of great shows in the future, you'll be incredibly talented."

Krystal Jung paused for a moment, then asked, "How did you know?"

"I guessed."

The elevator arrived at the first floor and the doors opened.

People walking in the corridor saw them hugging and glanced at them a few more times.

Sulli released Krystal, wiped her eyes, and looked her up and down: "You've lost weight."

"I'm busy with work."

"Remember to eat more, or you'll be nothing but skin and bones. And by the way, live life to the fullest!"

Krystal looked at her, and her expression changed.

Sulli is different today.

"Shirley, you're different now."

Choi Sulli smiled smugly: "Right? I think so too."

She patted Krystal on the shoulder, then turned and left.

After taking a couple of steps, he turned back and said, "By the way, a friend of mine owns a coffee shop next to the shop on my show. The coffee is really good. You should come and have a look when you have time."

Then she ran back and whispered in her ear, "I'll tell you a secret, I'm going to pursue him!"

Krystal Jung was completely dumbfounded.

Choi Sulli left satisfied, but then she stopped.

Because the five members of Red Velvet were getting out of the car.

Bae Joo-hyun walked at the front, wearing a mask that only revealed her eyes.

Those eyes were so beautiful, so beautiful that you didn't need to see her whole face to know she was a beauty.

But his eyes were cold and aloof.

She was followed by Kang Seulgi, Son Seungwan, Park Sooyoung, and Kim Yerin.

All five people were dressed in casual clothes.

They had only recently debuted in Japan.

He must have just returned from Japan; his face was full of fatigue.

Bae Joo-hyun saw Choi Sulli first.

The two people looked at each other.

The air suddenly became quiet.

Kang Seulgi saw it too and instinctively grabbed Bae Joo-hyun's sleeve.

They quickly greeted them.

Sulli smiled and walked up to Joo-hyun: "Joo-hyun unnie, you're so beautiful!"

Bae Joo-hyun was taken aback: "Sulli sunbaenim, you're beautiful too."

Choi Sulli looked at her and said, "Why are you calling me 'senior'? That's too formal. Just call me Sulli!"

"By the way, my boyfriend is a fan of yours. Could you please sign an autograph for me when you have some free time? Just leave it at the company reception desk."

Bae Joo-hyun was stunned for a moment: "Your boyfriend???"

Choi Sulli smiled: "Not bad!"

It wasn't a polite smile, nor a perfunctory smile; it was a provocative smile.

Bae Joo-hyun frowned slightly.

She knew something was off about that smile.

Standing behind Sulli, Jung Soo-jung noticed Sulli's expression and suddenly became interested in the coffee shop Sulli had mentioned.
