What do you mean the games you make are all real?!

Chapter 40 The Shock Brought by the Tyrant

"Brothers! Look what I found!" Liao Yunkai shouted excitedly at the screen in the live stream, holding up the silver pistol he had just found.

"This gun is called the Lightning Eagle, and it uses .50 Magnum rounds. Although I don't know what Magnum rounds are, you can tell from the size of these bullets that this thing is ridiculously powerful!"

Liao Yunkai unloaded the bullets from the Lightning Eagle, and then took out the 9mm bullets he had picked up earlier and placed them in his palm for comparison.

The .50 Magnum bullet is obviously much larger than the 9mm bullet.

Sometimes, size equals power and justice; no man dislikes size.

The comments started scrolling.

"Holy crap! That gun is fucking awesome!"

"With that caliber, a single shot would send a zombie's head flying three meters!"

"Magnum bullets... I've never seen a pistol with this caliber in Battlefield. What kind of amazing team designed Mitten's guns? These guys really know guns too well."

"Kai-ge, stop showing off! Hurry up and get the third badge, or someone will steal your first clear!"

Lu Fuyun stared at the gleaming silver pistol on the screen, his brows furrowing slightly. He wasn't as shocked by the .50 Magnum caliber as the other viewers.

".50 Magnum." Lu Fuyun repeated the caliber.

"It looks like it uses 12.7mm bullets. We've tried making pistols with this caliber before, but the recoil and noise were too great, making them unsuitable for combat."

"You mean, this kind of gun doesn't have much value in reality?" Ma Jiyuan pressed.

He wasn't a firearms expert, and his understanding of these technical details was limited to the snippets that Lu Fuyun would casually explain during each meeting.

"That's how it seems right now. It appears that what Miteng is doing is turning these designs, which originally only existed in the blueprints and theoretical stages, into game content that players can experience."

"From guns made of polymer materials to helicopters, and now to this 12.7mm caliber pistol, these ideas have been proposed before. We recently discovered a concept for making guns with polymer materials that was proposed ten years ago in the Northland Alliance's database. However, at that time, the world was peaceful and there was no such demand. We have only now dug it out of the warehouse."

"The designs Mitten uses look fancy and like futuristic technology, but they are actually all theoretical legacies from ten or twenty years ago."

This is also why Lu Fuyun is not in a hurry to contact Miteng Company.

At first, when he first got his hands on that replica Matilda pistol, he almost thought that there was a genius designer inside Mitten who had a knack for the future development of firearms.

But now it seems that what Miteng is doing is not research and development, but sorting. They are retrieving valuable but ill-timed designs from abandoned archives, expired patents and abandoned prototypes all over the world, and then using their technical capabilities to turn them into games.

If that's all there is to it, then Miteng Company is just an excellent game company, not as important as you might think. The most important thing is to figure out the source of those drugs; that's the real deal.

On the screen, Liao Yunkai continued forward with his gun, quickly obtained the third badge, returned to the hall to activate the mechanism, and then said goodbye to Chief Inspector Marvin.

When Liao Yunkai and Elliott entered the mechanism, the comments section erupted again, but this time the tone was completely different from the previous excitement.

"Sheriff Marvin! Don't die! Come down with us!"

"Stop yelling upstairs! Sheriff Marvin has already been bitten by a zombie. Even if he doesn't cover our retreat, he'll turn into a zombie sooner or later anyway. He's using his last moments to buy us a chance to escape..."

"No! Sheriff Marvin! Such a good, responsible officer, who was always thinking about how to help us, and he's gone just like that? Mitten, is your heart made of iron?!"

While the comments section was still flooded with praise for Sheriff Marvin, Liao Yunkai had already passed through the secret passage and entered the pipe area.

"If we get through here, we should clear the level," Liao Yunkai said, but the next moment he saw Elliott being smashed into a pulp by a monster that fell from the sky.

"Damn it! What kind of monster is this?!" Liao Yunkai subconsciously took a few steps back, his voice revealing undisguised shock for the first time.

The comments section exploded at that moment.

"Elliott!!!!"

"Holy shit! Mitten, you're not human! You owe me Elliott!"

"A teammate I've protected for two whole chapters, from the prologue until now, and he just dies like that? Not even a moment to react? He just crashed down like that?!"

"Where did this monster come from?! There wasn't a single warning sign beforehand!"

"Sheriff Marvin is dead! Elliott is dead too! That son of a bitch Mitten! You might as well kill Claire off too!"

"Kill that beast! Avenge Elliot! Bombard it with the Lightning Hawk!"

Liao Yunkai didn't look at the comments, and directly pulled out his shotgun and started firing, but the bullets had no effect on the monster with a single eye on its arm.

Just then, an unusually burly figure emerged from the shadows of the pipe and began fighting the one-eyed monster.

The comments section erupted once again.

"Holy crap, these two monsters are going to fight!"

"Gods are fighting! Run!"

The battle between the tyrant and William unfolded in an almost primitive manner. The tyrant delivered a powerful punch to William's head, sending the deformed monster in the tattered white coat flying and crashing into the pipe wall with a dull thud.

But soon the two monsters collided again, and the shockwave sent all the loose pipes and iron filings flying. Liao Yunkai was knocked to the ground by the shockwave, and his health bar dropped significantly.

He got up from the ground, glanced back, and saw that the one-eyed monster had been lifted above the tyrant's head and thrown into the bottomless darkness deep inside the pipe.

Liao Yunkai then continued to pull the trigger of the shotgun. The shot hit the tyrant's chest, tearing his military coat in several places and revealing the grayish-white skin underneath. The bullets were embedded in the skin but did not cause any real damage. The tyrant did not stop for even a second.

"They can't escape now." Liao Yunkai's voice was surprisingly calm.

He stopped making futile struggles and instead stood at the exit, facing the approaching tyrant, and lowered his gun.

The tyrant's fist slammed into his chest like a runaway train, the screen shook violently, and then a blood-red death notification exploded.

The live stream fell into a brief silence, the chat paused for about three seconds, and then erupted more violently than ever before.

"Holy crap! How do you even fight this monster?! Shotguns are like tickling it!"

"Everyone, look at the Mitten website! They just updated the monster settings! That big gray guy is called Tyrant, and he's the T-103, a top-tier biological weapon manufactured by Umbrella Corporation! That one-eyed monster is called William Birkin, and he's the former chief researcher at Umbrella Corporation who was injected with the G-virus. The G-virus has five forms, and William was only in the first form. There are four more to come! I'm so scared."

"So William didn't die? The one thrown down was only in its first form? We still have to fight it later? Four more powerful forms?!"

"The tyrant's oppressive aura is too strong... I feel like a tank is running over me even through the screen, and my heart is still pounding."

"Everyone, calm down! The Tyrant must have weaknesses, just like the Licker. Mitten couldn't possibly create a completely invincible monster!"

"I just checked, and the original quote from Miteng's official website is: 'Tyrants have no weaknesses; the only option when you encounter one is to run away.'"

Lu Fuyun and Ma Jiyuan were also stunned by the tower-like monster. The Tyrant's appearance was not as ferocious and terrifying as the Licker. It was just an exceptionally burly humanoid figure wearing a coat and a top hat, with no expression on its face.

But the oppressive aura it exudes, the chilling silence that sends shivers down the spines of everyone watching without any roars or intimidation, is more terrifying than any menacing monster.

When something walks towards you unhurriedly, and all your weapons are ineffective against it, and it only needs one punch to blow you up, fear is no longer an emotional reaction, but rather the instinctive retreat of a creature when facing its natural enemy.

Meanwhile, in Japan, Nobuyuki Nakajima suddenly stood up from his chair, his whole body trembling not with fear, but with excitement.

It's the kind of excitement that only someone who has spent their entire life in a laboratory can feel when they suddenly see their life's ultimate ideal being realized in its most perfect form right in front of them—a feeling that goes from their spine all the way to the top of their scalp.

He braced his hands on the table, leaned forward, and almost pressed his eyes against the screen, staring intently at the tyrant's towering body and G William's massive arm, which was faintly visible in the shadows of the pipes.

"This is...this is what I want..." His voice was hoarse and trembling, as if he were murmuring in a dream, or as if he were making some kind of devout prayer.

He was almost sixty years old and had spent most of his life working in the field of biochemistry. He had seen countless top papers and reviewed countless cutting-edge projects, but nothing had ever inspired such a strong belief in him as this gray giant before him.

This can be done.

Without further hesitation, he rushed to his research lab, eager to create that tower-like monster.
