Chapter 253 Outbreak

Chapter 253 Outbreak

In the small cubicle, a faint silver light gradually illuminated as Adir moved.

The light was pure and gentle, carrying a power that brought peace and tranquility to the soul. Once one felt its presence, one's mind would naturally become calm.

This is the power of the Moon Elves, derived from their bloodline, the most powerful and pure.

As Adir channeled his power into the purplish-black crystal before him, a change began to occur.

Under Yana's astonished gaze, the appearance of the crystal before them began to change, and a new power emerged within it, quickly concealing the blackness within.

A silvery luster is incorporated, turning the entire crystal into two distinct colors.

Purple and silver energies flowed within, occupying most of the crystal. As for the black, which belonged to the curse, it had been suppressed in a corner and was almost invisible without careful observation.

Having done all this, Adir withdrew his hand and looked at the Worldstone fragments that were almost half silver in front of him, and a sense of exhaustion rose up in his heart.

Both forces within this Worldstone fragment are extremely powerful. Whether it is the bloodline power of the ancient wizard or the power of the curse, their essence is probably above level four.

Even Adir struggled to channel his power into these two forces.

Moon elves must reach level four upon reaching adulthood, and their bloodline power is essentially close to level four. Therefore, with Adir's support, they were able to suppress the power of the curse.

After all, no matter how powerful the curse itself is, the curse power in the world stone fragments before them is only so much. As long as the essence is not too different, it can be continuously suppressed or even obliterated by Adir.

To suppress even this small amount of curse power, Adir poured almost half of his moon elf power into it, barely managing to suppress the curse's power.

With this thought, Adir made a mental movement, and the World Stone fragments in front of him vanished on the spot, instantly being collected by Adir's Emerald Mark.

"let's go."

Having done all this, Adir glanced around casually, and seeing that there was nothing around, he said to Yana, "Thor should be in trouble soon too."

"Will it be alright?"

When it came to her husband, Yana's expression immediately became tense, and she looked at Adir with some nervousness and asked.

"There shouldn't be any major problems for now, but if it drags on for too long, things might change."

Looking at Yana beside him, Adir said casually.

If his guess is correct, the vast majority of people in this village should have been silently eroded by the curse. It is only because of the combined effect of the barrier and the curse that these people still believe they are alive and continue to live according to their previous habits and ways of thinking.

But now, the Worldstone fragments used to maintain the barrier have been collected by Adir, and the barrier's suppressive effect is about to disappear. Those who were originally dead will probably have to reveal their true faces now.

This is equivalent to being in a haunted house. Thor was alone among those cursed undead, and his fate was predictable.

"You stay here."

Looking at Yana, who was holding a child and had a pale face, Adir casually said, "This is the place where the barrier is strongest. You'll be safe for at least a day or two. Those curses won't dare to come after you."

"You stay here and I'll come back for you after I've dealt with those things."

After saying this, he moved and disappeared from the spot, quickly leaving the place.

In the distance, on the other side.

The bonfire in the village was still burning, and one person was dancing and celebrating wildly.

Thor was among them, with a few tribesmen he was somewhat familiar with in the past, including Syl. He seemed to have put aside his previous unease and was now enjoying himself immensely, infected by the enthusiastic atmosphere around him.

But as time went by, everything around them began to slowly change.

Familiar faces began to change, their expressions shifting from vibrant to stiff, and finally to pale.

At first, Thor wasn't online, but after a while, he began to notice something was wrong.

He was no ordinary person after all. Starting with the disaster several years ago, he traveled alone from the desert to the south. During those years of wandering, he not only had to deal with the curse's pursuit but also face various dangerous situations, which had long since given him a vigilant instinct.

Not only him, but everyone else also began to sense something was wrong, and a deep sense of unease rose in their hearts.

Something's not right.

Standing on a high platform, looking at a familiar tall figure before him, Thor frowned, the unease he had suppressed before resurfacing in his heart.

In front of him stood a tall, muscular middle-aged man, but with a pale face, looking like a corpse. He had a conspicuous scar on his face and was standing in front of a wooden table, gulping down alcohol.

This person was the same Sir who had brought Thor here before, but his appearance had changed somewhat.

Perhaps because he hadn't been dead for long, compared to the others around him, Sil's appearance had changed the most. Not only was his face pale and stiff, but his eyes also had a faint bloodshot look, making him look quite terrifying.

Upon closer inspection of the familiar face, Thor even noticed some signs of decay, as if it were a corpse that had been sitting there for several days.

But even with such an obvious change, Sear himself didn't notice at all, and was still holding his glass, drinking heartily, looking like he was having a great time.

Not only him, but everyone else around him also showed no reaction to the changes in Syl, as if they hadn't seen it at all, and continued to play with him.

Standing silently in the corner of the platform, observing the situation, Thor felt a sense of dread rising in his heart, and his hands and feet grew cold.

He dared not make any big movements, fearing that he would attract the attention of those people, so he retreated as quietly as possible, preparing to leave this place and go to find Adir.

Around him, besides him, there were a few other clansmen who were relatively normal. After realizing something was wrong, they also silently prepared to flee the spot, not daring to make a sound.

"Sol, what are you doing there?"

Before he had taken more than a few steps, a voice that sent chills down Thor's spine suddenly rang out, causing his hand to tremble involuntarily.

He turned around and saw Hill, holding a wine glass, striding towards him in front of a campfire.

As he walked, Syl's movements were extremely stiff, and even the flesh on his face was rotting rapidly, with a piece of human skin hanging down with some blood and flesh, which made Thor feel somewhat disgusted.

"Sol, why aren't you joining us for a drink?"

Sylph strode up to Thor, his face cold and stiff as he stared at him and asked.

"N-nothing."

Suppressing his urge to escape, Thor forced a smile and looked at Syl, saying, "I just want to go back and get something. I'll be back with you soon."

"Oh, is that so?"

Syl didn't seem to think too much about it. Hearing Thor say that, he simply nodded and said, "Then go ahead, we'll wait for you here for a drink!"

After saying this, he stopped in his tracks, seemingly frozen in place.

Seeing Syl's performance, Thor breathed a slight sigh of relief. He turned around, accelerated, and prepared to take this opportunity to leave quickly.

Just then, a voice suddenly rang out, making his heart tighten instantly.

"Lord Syl, what happened to your face?"

In a corner of the high platform, a clay figure holding food looked at Syl's face, which was beginning to rot and decay, and spoke with some fear, his voice trembling.

These natives were slaves bought by Mike in the past, responsible for doing some complicated things. They were unaware of the aura of the curse, which is why they dared to speak now.

"My face?"

Hearing the words of the local people in front of him, Xier was stunned for a moment, and then subconsciously reached out and wiped his face hard with his hand.

In an instant, Syl's face turned into a bloody mess, and his already rotting face became even more horrifying, with the rotting flesh on it becoming more obvious, leaving only his eyes intact.

"This is...blood..."

Staring blankly at the disgusting flesh and blood on his palm, Syl stood there, seemingly unable to react.

"Yes... I already..."

The next moment, a flash of realization crossed his eyes, and his eyes widened suddenly, turning a pure scarlet red.

"not good!!"

At that moment, Thor felt a powerful malice coming from behind him.

Just as he was about to run at full speed, he felt a hand silently rest on his shoulder.

It was a pale, stiff arm, emanating a chill that reminded one of solid ice in the dead of winter.

"Sol...where...do...want...to...go...?"

Behind him, intermittent voices came, becoming more and more mechanical the further back he went, sounding devoid of any emotion and completely unlike Syl's voice.

The next moment, Thor felt as if the world had fallen silent. In the pitch-black night, there should have been the chirping of insects and the sound of a campfire burning, but all of that had disappeared. Only a cold chill rose from his body, accompanied by a strong sense of unease and discomfort.

That was the feeling of the curse within him beginning to erupt. At this moment, it seemed to be guided by an external force, and it began to erupt once again, causing Thor's body to become sluggish.

The next moment, when Thor regained consciousness, he heard gusts of wind whistling past his ears.

Sometime later, he was already flying in mid-air, seemingly having been blasted away and crashing heavily to the ground with a loud thud.

Even so, despite suffering such a heavy blow, he was not injured and did not experience any intense pain.

Because a faint silver barrier began to appear on his body, with fluctuations in force field appearing on it, which negated all the damage Thor had suffered.

"This feeling is... Lord Adir's power."

Seeing the pale silver barrier appear around his body, Thor quickly realized what was happening, scrambled to his feet, and looked into the distance.

In the distance, Syl's appearance had completely changed. He was shrouded in a thick black aura that slowly condensed into a black robe that completely concealed his figure, leaving only a pair of scarlet eyes visible. He looked extremely eerie and was completely unrecognizable as the Syl of the past.

At the feet of the man in black, several corpses lay silently on the ground. The marks on the corpses were extremely exaggerated, and the flesh and blood of their bodies seemed to have been pulverized, making it look like a layer of red meat paste had been spread on the ground, which was extremely terrifying.

Seeing this, Thor felt a sense of relief.

If it weren't for the barrier that suddenly appeared on his body, he would probably have turned into a pile of human-shaped minced meat like those other natives.

However, this is not the time to dwell on that.

The curse on Syl erupted, and he had transformed into a black-clad monster.

But what's truly terrifying is what's in the distance.

When they saw the black-clad monster that Xier had transformed into, the people by the campfire in the distance were all stunned for a moment, and then their figures began to change continuously.

Just like before, thick black energy began to emerge from their bodies, and their dull, lifeless eyes began to turn scarlet, eventually transforming them into black-clad monsters.

For a time, hundreds of black-clad monsters were displayed here, and with the campfire in the distance, it looked like a banquet among monsters.

Staring blankly at this scene, almost all the surviving Krasus, including Thor, felt despair and could not muster the courage to fight back.

The curse was not as easy to resist as imagined. Even though Thor and his people were born with superhuman strength as descendants of ancient wizards, they were only comparable to knight apprentices. This might be considered quite good for ordinary people, but against the black-clad monster formed by the curse, they were just easy prey.

Even Thor, who had been taught by Adir and whose strength was comparable to that of a peak knight, was no match for this black-clad monster and could only flee in a sorry state.

Moreover, there wasn't just one black-clad monster in front of them, but hundreds.

Such a terrifying number is enough to induce despair; even a formal wizard would likely be overwhelmed here.

A faint moonlight illuminated the surroundings, and several fireballs the size of human heads rained down from the sky, striking several black-clad monsters and creating several deep craters in the ground.

In the distance, Adir, dressed in white, frowned as he looked at the black-clad monsters all around him.

"Lord Adir!!" Thor's shouts came from afar.

Upon seeing Adir arrive just in time, Thor breathed a sigh of relief, but remained tense. He ran towards Adir, shouting, "The curse here has fully erupted! Let's go!"

He watched the few clansmen fleeing in panic, took a deep breath, and finally hardened his heart to ignore them.
