Chapter 324 Explosive Growth
Chapter 324 Explosive Growth
"What should we do?"
With a single sword strike, she forced the black-robed giant in front of her back. Feeling her strength dwindling, Alina grew anxious.
After that long battle, the current situation is quite clear.
These Turing knights had already figured out her plan. Instead of falling for it, they turned the tables on her, using her desire to keep these people around to stall her.
Initially, if she had been determined to leave, these people wouldn't have been able to stop her. However, after several hours of fighting, she was nearly exhausted. Although she could still suppress them, she was becoming increasingly powerless.
After all, even if she was a guardian of a royal family, and her power in life far exceeded that of the Sky Knight, the body she was currently controlling was still her own. The life energy within her was far from comparable to that of a true Radiant Knight, and the power she could exert could not exceed the Sky Knight's limit.
"There's only one last option left." Lilith's voice echoed in his mind, tinged with obvious weariness.
"Teacher Lilith, what do you want?" Hearing Lilith's words, Alina was startled, as if she had thought of something.
"By unleashing our combined life force for a short period, we should be able to deal with these people," Lilith's voice rang out again. "However, this will severely deplete both of our lives, potentially shattering your life seed. Moreover, once the eruption ends, we'll be completely powerless. If any unforeseen circumstances arise, we're finished."
"At this point, we have no other choice." Lilith gritted her teeth, a ruthless glint in her eyes. "You may begin."
"Okay!" Lilith's voice rang out in response.
But before she could even begin to act, a terrifying hissing sound rang out from afar.
A massive silver light flashed before their eyes, and endless silver battle energy was boiling, faintly condensing into a huge silver net that roared in place, unleashing a terrifying attack.
Yinhua!!
A sky full of silver battle aura was flying around, and with this strike, a large amount of smoke was rising around, carrying with it a cloud of flying rocks.
During this time, a swift figure darted through the crowd, holding a silver longsword in his hand—it was Adir.
Compared to before, his aura has changed considerably. After several hours of fierce fighting, his aura has not weakened but instead appears to be growing stronger.
In a mere instant, he arrived beside Alina, and then, with an even more terrifying speed, charged madly toward the black-robed giant in front of him.
A silver longsword suddenly thrust out, colliding with another gray broadsword in an instant, producing a startling sound.
During the collision, a massive surge of life energy rushed into Adir's body along the blade, causing him to cough up blood on the spot.
"Princess, run!!"
Standing in front of Alina, Adir fought fiercely against the beast knight before him, coughing up blood and shouting as if he had used up all his strength.
Two black longswords pierced from the side, striking Adir at a tricky angle, shattering large sections of his silver battle armor and revealing his flesh and blood underneath.
"Adir!!"
Looking at Adir, who was being attacked by the beast knights in her place in the distance, Alina was stunned, and a strange emotion rose in her heart.
He knew perfectly well what Adir's purpose was. This desperate fight was simply to give her the opportunity to escape.
"Alina, let's go!!" Lilith's voice rang rapidly in his mind.
Looking at the situation before her, she was overjoyed: "I'll take this opportunity to leave immediately!!"
"But, Adir..." Hearing Lilith's words and looking at Adir's desperate figure in the distance, Alina hesitated.
"Don't hesitate! Don't waste the opportunity your subordinates risked their lives to create for you!!" Lilith's voice was filled with anxiety and anger: "Have you forgotten your mother's death?"
"Didn't you swear to avenge your dead mother?"
Hearing this, Alina was shaken. Looking at Adir's figure in the distance, she finally stopped hesitating, turned around, and tried to run away.
Unfortunately, her plan ultimately failed.
A gust of sword wind swept in from mid-air, and a long sword carrying corrosive battle aura rushed over, instantly blocking Alina's path.
Meanwhile, from the other two corners, two sharp and dangerous battle auras attacked, instantly blocking all of Alina's escape routes.
These were the three black-clad knights who had previously joined forces to suppress Adir. Now, seeing that Elina wanted to leave, they immediately joined forces and charged at her, completely thwarting her plans to escape.
Left with no other choice, she drew her sword and engaged the three black-clad knights in combat.
"At this point, it seems the only option is to eliminate these people."
Standing still, sensing the three streams of battle energy around her, Lilith sighed softly, "I hope your knight can hold out a little longer, otherwise he might be doomed this time."
Alina remained silent, her eyes filled with determination. She drew her sword and charged forward, her life energy roaring throughout her body.
boom!!
A deafening roar erupted from the spot.
On a training field riddled with potholes, Adir's figure was once again sent flying.
Seeing Adir being knocked away, the black-robed man's face turned cold as he turned to walk toward Alina.
The next moment, a sharp sword wind struck again. In front of him, Adir coughed up blood, his body covered in several horrific wounds that were bleeding, but he still charged towards him recklessly.
Instantly, the sound of several longswords clashing rang out continuously. Two different life energies collided and exploded in place, creating several craters around them.
Is it worth it?
With a single sword strike, he forced Adir back. Looking at Adir's miserable state, the black-robed giant's face turned cold: "Your strength is indeed formidable. In a normal one-on-one situation, even I wouldn't be able to defeat you in a short time."
"But in your current state, even if you risk your life, how long can you possibly hold me off?"
He looked at Adir in the distance and spoke, his words tinged with indifference.
But before him, Adir said nothing, his face remaining perfectly calm. He simply held his longsword and charged madly at his opponent.
"Fine, since you're so ungrateful, I'll just kill you first, then step over your corpse!"
Seeing Adir's appearance, the big man stopped talking, but raised his broadsword and went to meet Adir.
He swung his sword downwards, and the gray light that filled the sky collided with Adir's sword energy, ultimately producing a series of explosive sounds.
Amidst the explosive sounds, Adir was repeatedly knocked away, his figure growing increasingly miserable.
The battle qi armor formed from his entire body had been shattered. The healing speed was far slower than the breaking speed. His body was covered in wounds, and his chest was almost cut open, revealing bloody flesh.
Even after the battle had reached this point, Adir still did not retreat. He used his own flesh and blood to block the combined attack of the three beast knights in front of him. Even though he was knocked away time and time again, he was able to get up quickly, and his strength did not diminish at all.
As the battle progresses, the life energy within the body is being continuously depleted.
A strange change is taking place in Adir.
His once smooth and delicate skin began to dry out, his beautiful long silver hair began to turn pale and withered, and wrinkles began to appear on his stunningly handsome face. He looked as if he had aged many years in an instant, and suddenly became gloomy and lifeless.
As time goes by, this change is happening rapidly and becoming increasingly apparent.
"Um?"
Noticing the change in Adir, the burly man in black robes was taken aback, a look of surprise appearing on his face for the first time: "You burned your life force?"
As soon as he finished speaking, a terrifying pressure came from above.
The sky was filled with silver battle aura that intertwined and condensed into countless sword beams, which finally turned into the core point and smashed down hard.
boom!!
A terrifying booming sound echoed from the spot. The power of this attack far surpassed that of the previous one, causing even the burly man, a beast knight, to feel a terrifying pressure and instinctively put on a defensive stance.
The next moment, a sharp pain surged through my body, accompanied by flying debris and the impact of a massive surge of life energy.
"This level...no!!"
Feeling the pressure on his body, the black-robed man sensed something was amiss and then suddenly opened his eyes.
Beside a black-clad knight in the distance, a silver longsword suddenly thrust forward, unleashing a terrifying burst of life energy that slammed into the knight.
"This attack wasn't aimed at me!" The big man thought to himself as he looked at the scene in the distance, and then he heard a strange noise.
boom!
The sound of flesh and blood tearing echoed from the spot.
The black-clad knight, struck head-on by Adir's attack, was overwhelmed by the immense life energy before he could even react, his body turning into a pile of minced meat.
This was the first black-clad knight to fall in this battle, immediately drawing the attention of everyone present.
"Adir!"
On the other side, Elina was somewhat moved as she sent a black-clad knight flying with a single sword strike and looked at the dejected Adil in the distance.
In the distance, on a platform, Adir stood on a pile of minced meat, holding a longsword.
By this time, his hair had turned completely white, his aura was growing weaker, and his face was full of fatigue, making him look like a weary old man.
However, despite this, his eyes were bright, and his face remained as calm as before, as if he did not feel any pain.
Compared to his previous stunning appearance, he now looked extremely miserable, as if his life was about to come to an end, which was regrettable.
Looking at Adir's current state, the few surviving knights around him couldn't help but feel a sense of respect.
At that moment, a long sword suddenly thrust out from behind him, piercing through his chest in an instant.
That was another black-clad knight who had been lying in wait until now, when he appeared and delivered the final blow to Adir.
Having taken this blow, Adir's body finally collapsed, falling heavily to the ground with a thud.
Step...step...
A series of footsteps sounded from the spot, accompanied by a voice.
"You're very good."
Holding a long sword, the burly man known as the Beast Knight silently walked up to Adir. Looking at Adir's current miserable state, he couldn't help but feel a bit of admiration in his eyes. "You're the first person to have managed to fight this far while facing the combined attack of the three of us."
"Cough...cough..." A weak coughing sound rang out from the spot.
On the ground, Adir struggled to get up, the wound on his chest still bleeding profusely, containing tiny fragments of flesh and blood.
Despite his miserable appearance, his expression remained calm, his eyes fixed on the burly man before him as he struggled to get up.
"Fighting to this point for a lord we've only recently acknowledged is more than enough, no matter how you look at it."
Looking at Adir, who was weak but still calm, struggling to get up, the big man felt a sense of admiration: "How about it? Interested in becoming my subordinate?"
He spoke directly, looking at Adir who had fought to the very last moment, making no attempt to hide his admiration: "Your injuries are already very serious. If you don't find a way to treat them now, you will die immediately."
"I can heal your wounds." He smiled, revealing a chilling grin. "How about it?"
After he finished speaking, there was no response for a moment, only a series of coughs echoing in the same spot.
It was only after a long while that Adir's voice rang out again.
"No need." A weak voice rang out from the spot, calm yet firm.
Before him, Adir struggled to his feet, looking calmly at the beast knight before him: "Although I am not a traditional knight, I know the oath and code of knighthood, which shall not be changed by anything."
"I have never regretted choosing her as my lord, and I still do now."
He slowly finished speaking, keeping his eyes fixed on the beast rider before him throughout the process. Even though he was covered in wounds, he showed no fear or unease.
Watching him speak these words silently, the beast knight before him remained unmoved, only showing some regret: "Unfortunately, knights like you are becoming increasingly rare these days."
"You are indeed a warrior."
He spoke, a look of agreement appearing on his face for the first time: "As a sign of respect for the warrior, I will grant you a painless death."
"Thank you." Adir replied calmly, without the slightest fear, upon hearing the words of the burly man before him.
"It's almost done at this level." He silently thought to himself as he observed his surroundings with his mental energy.
A sharp wind blew around, carrying a strong killing intent, and a gray longsword swiftly slashed towards Adir's neck.
Feeling the sharp sensation coming from in front of him, Adir quietly closed his eyes.
