Chapter 48 Elva

Chapter 48 Elva

He staggered out of the hall, and several guards approached from a distance.

They were shocked to see Cadis walk out of the hall covered in blood and rushed forward, their eyes filled with wariness.

Before they could even reach the front, several sword beams flashed around them, and several figures rushed out simultaneously, instantly dispatching the guards.

They were several tall figures. Although they were all dressed as guards, their auras were quite different, and they looked much more elite than the guards.

At the forefront of the guards was a tall knight clad in full armor, who, upon seeing Cadis's injuries, exclaimed in shock: "Lord Cadis!"

"I'm fine."

Looking at the knight before him, Cadis, enduring the excruciating pain and discomfort throughout his body, asked, "How are you now?"

"Things are going very well!" Looking at Cadis's appearance, the knight in front of him quickly replied, "Most of the remaining knights in the castle have been bribed by us, and you have also held off Count Polia. There is chaos everywhere around the castle now."

Hearing this news, Kadis nodded in satisfaction, then asked, "What about Arcadilla? Has he arrived?"

"Lord Arcadilla has secretly brought his men to the castle and is now leading his Black Knights in an attack, but they have been stopped by Fular's personal guard," the knight replied quickly.

"Flar..." Cadis's eyes held a complex expression.

As the other party's former subordinate, he had received a lot of help from the other party and had a good personal relationship with the other party over the years, but now they were going to be on opposite sides.

As a longtime friend, he understood the other party's character well; he would never betray Count Poria and side with them, so the only solution was to eliminate him.

"Rest in peace... I will take care of your family after you die."

He sighed softly, the thought flashing through his mind, then a cold glint appeared on his face: "Tell me! Where is Elva?"

After what happened today, Count Poria, as the absolute ruler, is doomed to die, but if Elvar, as the heir, escapes, he will also be a huge problem.

The Fakus family has ruled the North for nearly a century and is deeply entrenched. A large number of nobles in the North are their supporters, and many of them are even direct members of the Fakus family, such as Adir's father.

Once Elwar escapes and unites the remaining forces in the North as the heir to the Fakus family, it will have a certain impact on the North's allegiance and cause additional trouble.

Thinking of this, his eyes turned cold, and disregarding his injuries, he strode off in a certain direction.

·············

The flames of war are burning throughout the castle.

By this time, the once safe and peaceful castle had been completely transformed, with warriors fighting everywhere, making the situation inside the castle extremely chaotic.

Elva was hiding in a small corner.

He held a long sword in his hand, and his whole body was soaked with sweat, looking extremely disheveled.

Although the tense situation around the North has been going on for a long time, it has been kept out of the castle by Count Poria and has not affected him at all.

When the chaos suddenly broke out, he was still resting in his room with his female companion when several elite warriors burst in to capture him.

If it weren't for the loyal guards who appeared at the crucial moment and stopped those people, he would probably have been taken away by now.

Standing there, listening to the clear shouts of battle all around, Elva felt a chill of fear in his heart, and his right hand, which was gripping the longsword, trembled slightly.

He was clearly much less capable than his father, Count Poria, in his youth.

He was born into nobility; his father was the ruler of the North, and his mother was also from a prestigious family. However, his own talent and personality were rather mediocre. Although he possessed some knightly talent, he loathed the arduous training required for knights. Even with Count Poria forcing him to train, he was only slightly stronger than an ordinary person and probably couldn't even defeat an elite warrior.

Over time, Count Poria basically gave up on training him to become a knight, and only planned to prepare a few talented clansmen to assist him, and Adir was one of them.

Count Poria had only two sons. His eldest son had left home, and as the only child, Elvar was born to be the heir to the Count. He had never faced any danger since childhood, let alone fought with others.

This experience was like a nightmare for him, leaving him feeling disoriented and unable to recover.

"They haven't searched that area yet!" A shout came from afar, startling Elva instinctively.

In the distance, several warriors dressed in black leather armor, carrying weapons, were walking in from outside, seemingly preparing to search the area.

"What should I do?" Feeling the footsteps in the distance getting closer and closer to where he was, a sense of fear rose in Elva's heart, and cold sweat broke out on his forehead.

The sounds from afar were getting closer and closer. Although the place was spacious enough, there weren't many places to hide. They would soon reach where Elwa was.

Feeling all of this, Elva gritted his teeth and simply walked out of the corner and ran into the distance.

"There he is!! It's Polya's successor!!"

Excited shouts came from afar, and the soldiers in the distance watched Elwar's retreating figure and quickly chased after him.

They were fast and outnumbered, and with great coordination, they slowly blocked off any possible escape routes around him before flanking him.

bump!!

With a soft thud, during his frantic escape, Elwa's foot twisted and he fell straight to the ground.

As he watched the soldiers slowly approach him, despair welled up in his eyes; he could hardly believe the scene that had unfolded after his capture.

Suddenly, a fierce gust of wind rang out, and a giant sword swept across, cleaving the people in front of it in half at the waist.

"Lord Elvar!!" A voice called out from in front of him.

A familiar voice rang in his ears, and Elva looked up in surprise to see a tall and imposing middle-aged knight standing in front of him.

Fular, clad in full armor and wielding a heavy-looking greatsword, stood there casually dispatching the black-armored warriors.

He had dried red bloodstains on his body, and it was unclear whether they were from the enemy or his own. At that moment, he quickly went to Elwar's side and helped him up.

"Sir Fular, where is my father?"

Looking at the tall knight before him, Elva felt as if he had found his pillar of support and hurriedly asked.

"have no idea."

Seeing the disappointment in Elva's eyes, Fular shook his head: "The situation is already very bad, but Lord Poria still hasn't shown up."
