The legendary castle is not far away.

The castle, built with starstone, shimmered with a pale blue luster in the sunlight. The walls were 15 meters high and 3 meters thick, with intricate energy patterns engraved on their surface.

A transparent membrane of light enveloped the entire complex above the castle, a sign that the Sky Defense System was in operation.

After facial scanning, the light membrane of the city gate opened a human-shaped gap, and the four people walked in.

The scene inside the city walls is completely different from that outside.

There was no palace or ornate decoration as one might have imagined. Instead, a four-story villa stood in the center, flanked by several ancillary buildings, including the entrances to a garment factory, warehouses, and underground laboratories.

Apart from the buildings, all the remaining space was utilized.

To the east lies a vast expanse of spiritual grain fields, where golden ears of grain droop under the sunlight.

To the south was an orchard planted with various kinds of sacred fruit trees. To the west were cattle and sheep pens, where a dozen or so horned cattle were leisurely grazing inside the enclosures.

To the north is a large fishpond, where spirit fish caught from the deep sea are raised.

Although it's called a castle, it's more like a manor inside.

The four arrived at the villa's entrance.

Shen Mimi was busy in the kitchen, wearing a milky white apron over a pink long-sleeved shirt that was stretched taut over her chest. She wore leather pants and boots.

Keiko Kitagawa was helping wash the vegetables, and Shishi Lin was also helping to tidy up the chairs and dishes.

When Qin Chuan and the other three returned, Lin Shishi was the first to look up.

"Brother Chuan, are you guys done with your work?"

Qin Chuan nodded: "You guys have lunch, I'm going to meet that witch Medusa first."

Lin Shishi's expression changed: "Today?"

"Yes. We can't delay any longer. Lilith and Elsa have been petrified for three months. If we drag this out any longer, something bad might happen."

Shen Mimi poked her head out from the kitchen: "Brother Chuan, are you going to fight that snake woman? Do you want me to make you some dry food to take with you?"

"Need not."

Diana walked up to Qin Chuan and asked, "Shall we go too?"

Qin Chuan shook his head: "None of you are going. It's our first encounter, and I don't know what their trump cards are. If we can't win, I can use my special ability to come back directly. But if I bring you along, we might get entangled and won't be able to leave."

Diana frowned, wanting to say something, but ultimately didn't refute. She knew Qin Chuan had a point.

Medusa's energy level is 9999, the peak of her legendary period. Diana's own energy level is 9600, a difference of nearly 400 points. At that level, a 400-point difference means she couldn't even withstand a single attack from Medusa.

Going there would only be a hindrance.

Doria walked up, her long, silvery-white hair shimmering softly in the sunlight. She took Qin Chuan's hand, her pale blue eyes filled with worry.

"Okay, then be careful, darling."

"rest assured."

Vivian squatted down beside her, her cat ears drooping and her tail listlessly hanging on the ground.

"Brother Chuan, Lilith and Elsa are my people. You must save her."

"I know." Qin Chuan said, activating his Six Paths Rinnegan.

Six golden rings rotated simultaneously deep within his pupils, and a spatial power surged from his body.

His form began to become transparent, as if something was peeling away layer by layer.

......

......

Three seconds later, Qin Chuan's figure completely disappeared.

In the blink of an eye, Qin Chuan appeared in the Ten Thousand Snake Mountains.

In the center of the castle of the Serpent Kingdom.

The ground beneath my feet was covered with dark gray stone bricks, each a meter square. Dark green moss grew at the seams, giving off a cold, damp atmosphere.

The air temperature was much lower than on the island, carrying a gloomy chill.

Qin Chuan stopped and looked around.

He appeared in the inner courtyard of the castle. High black stone walls surrounded him, covered in dark green vines. The vine leaves were strangely shaped, long and curved, like small snakes clinging to the walls.

The sky overhead was mostly blocked by the castle's spires, with only a small patch of hazy sky visible.

The Wanshe Mountains are often overcast, with very little sunshine.

Qin Chuan's appearance didn't cause much of a commotion. The light from the spatial teleportation lasted for less than a second before dissipating, but that one second was enough.

The people in the castle sensed him.

Four auras approached from different directions.

Qin Chuan did not move.

Ten seconds later, four guards appeared in front of him.

These four people looked much like ordinary humans, with regular features and all four limbs. However, their skin was excessively pale, and their pupils were vertical and amber in color.

They wore dark purple, tight-fitting leather armor, with curved swords at their waists, and were tall and slender.

All four people are women.

"How dare you! Who goes there and trespasses here!" The lead guard drew his scimitar, the tip pointing at Qin Chuan.

Qin Chuan glanced at her but didn't say anything.

His Rinnegan swept over the four people, and information surfaced in his mind.

All four of them have a food energy level between 7,000 and 8,000, which is the King stage.

Outside, any one of these four would be a powerful ruler. But in the Spirit Serpent Kingdom, they were merely gatekeepers.

This gives a glimpse into the profound heritage of the Medusa clan.

"Let him in."

A voice came from deep within the castle.

The sound wasn't loud, but it reached everyone's ears clearly. It was as if it were ringing directly in their heads.

The four guards simultaneously sheathed their swords, retreated to the sides, lowered their heads, and dared not look at Qin Chuan again.

Qin Chuan strode forward.

Passing through the inner courtyard, one enters a long corridor. Iron braziers hang on the walls on both sides of the corridor, burning with dark red flames, casting a dim red glow over the corridor.

The paving stones on the ground are getting bigger and bigger, and the seams are getting fewer and fewer.

The corridor was long, probably over a hundred meters. It took Qin Chuan almost a minute to reach the end.

At the end was a massive stone gate. The gate was about six meters high and four meters wide, with two intertwined giant snakes carved into its panels. Red gemstones were inlaid where the snakes' eyes should have been, gleaming in the firelight.

The stone gate was not closed.

Through the crack in the door, Qin Chuan could see that the space inside was large and dimly lit.

He pushed open the stone door and went inside.

This is a large hall.

The space was vast, at least a thousand square meters by my estimation. The ceiling was very high, probably over ten meters, but there were no lighting fixtures. The only source of light was iron braziers hanging on either side of the walls, burning with dark red flames that enveloped the entire hall in a dim and ambiguous red glow.

A peculiar scent filled the air. It didn't smell like incense; it was more like the lingering aroma of some plant sap after it evaporated. It was sweet and slightly cool, and when inhaled, it gave a strange, tingling sensation.

Qin Chuan frowned.

There's something wrong with this smell. An ordinary person would probably feel dizzy from it, but it wouldn't have much of an effect on him, a peak legendary-level expert.

There is a row of steps directly in front of the hall.

The steps consist of twelve levels, each paved with dark marble, polished so smooth that it reflects the flames. On either side of the steps stand a pair of stone-carved serpent pillars, their bodies coiled upwards, their heads open, each holding a dark red gemstone.

At the very top of the steps is a throne.

The throne's design is extravagant. The backrest is extremely high, at least three meters, and the armrests on both sides are formed from the bodies of two stone snakes. The entire chair is jet black, with densely packed snake patterns carved on its surface, which shimmer faintly in the red glow of the brazier.

Behind the throne, on the wall, hung a huge mural. The mural depicted two half-human, half-serpent creatures. Their upper bodies were human, with delicate features and flowing long hair. Their lower bodies were serpent tails covered with fine scales. The two serpent tails spiraled together from below, winding all the way to the top of the painting.

Two snake-men faced each other, with a sphere radiating golden light between them.

Qin Chuan shifted his gaze from the mural to the throne.
