Desert Island Infrastructure: Claiming the System Brings Many Blessings
Chapter 326 Blind Man
"It is indeed interesting." Gu Yifei nodded slightly, a slight smile playing on her lips.
Kitagawa Keiko jumped up and down excitedly: "If Brother Chuan guesses several wrong in a row, won't he have to sing several songs?"
"That's his business," Su Yubing said calmly.
"Okay, no objection." Qin Chuan nodded.
Vivian suddenly laughed, her cat ears twitching twice: "The person who invented this game is a genius."
She reached into her spatial ring at her waist and pulled out a black cloth cover. The cover was larger than a regular hood, and its surface was covered with fine silver patterns, like some kind of magic circle.
"I happen to have one of these black hoods in my spatial ring that can conceal skills." Vivian waved the item in her hand. "Wearing this, you can't use the Rinnegan or anything like that; you'll just be an ordinary person."
Qin Chuan glanced at the hood and his heart skipped a beat.
A headgear that conceals abilities? That sounds kind of creepy.
"Don't worry, it's just a temporary cover. It'll be back to normal once you take it off." Vivian noticed Qin Chuan's concerns and flicked her cat tail twice. "I bought it at the market in the Spirit Cat Kingdom before. It was specifically used for interrogating prisoners."
"Interrogating prisoners?" Qin Chuan's lips twitched.
"Yeah, we put them on the prisoners' heads so they can't use their skills, making interrogation easier," Vivian said matter-of-factly.
"...Alright then."
"That's great!" Doria clapped her hands and laughed. "I think that's fun."
Diana even smiled, a rare occurrence for her: "Then what are we waiting for? Let's start setting up the venue."
Qin Chuan stood there, watching the women rubbing their hands together, eager to get started.
Well, tonight's theme has changed from a bonfire party to a prank party.
Qin Chuan raised his right hand and made a thought.
"Divine Magic".
With a low hum, a pale golden energy emanated from his palm. The stone floor beneath his feet began to tremble, and tiny cracks spread from the ground.
Soil and wood fibers surged from the ground, as if being pulled by an invisible hand, and quickly assembled into shape on the open ground.
Wooden railings rise from the ground, connecting end to end, curving into a circle thirty meters in diameter. The railings are waist-high, evenly spaced, and sturdy.
In less than ten seconds, a complete circular fence appeared on the open ground next to the campfire.
"So fast." Doria stared wide-eyed at the railings that had suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
Diana walked over and pushed the railing with her hand; it didn't budge. She nodded. "Sturdy."
Shen Mimi walked around the fence and kicked the bottom with her foot: "This fence is not bad. When we don't need it anymore, we can take it apart and use it as firewood."
"All you care about is starting a fire." Qin Chuan glared at her.
Shen Mimi stuck out her tongue.
The fence was in place, and Vivian walked up to Qin Chuan with the black hood in her hand.
"Come on, bow your head."
Qin Chuan bent down, and Vivian stood on tiptoe to pull the black hood down over Qin Chuan's head.
The moment the hood was put on, Qin Chuan's vision went completely black.
It's not just ordinary black.
With my eyes closed normally, I could still feel the faint red light filtering through my eyelids. But with this hood on, everything was gone. Even that faint sense of light disappeared, replaced by a heavy, impenetrable darkness.
Then there are skills.
Qin Chuan subconsciously tried to activate his Rinnegan.
no response.
The six circular rings remained completely still, not even turning. It was as if something had erected a wall deep within the pupils, blocking all energy channels.
Even divine magic was useless. When his spiritual energy reached his palm, it was directly dispersed, without even a splash.
Qin Chuan's heart tightened.
The hood provided far better concealment than he had imagined. Once he put it on, he was just an ordinary person with no special skills.
The hood has only two small holes below the nose for breathing. The fabric of the hood clings tightly to the face, with a slightly cool touch, like some kind of special silk.
"How's it going? Can't see it anymore?" Vivian's voice came from ahead.
"Yes." Qin Chuan nodded. "You can't see it at all."
"That's right," Vivian said with a grin, her voice fading into the distance. "The game begins!"
Qin Chuan heard footsteps.
Eleven people ran inside the fence. The footsteps were chaotic, some heavy, some light, coming from all directions. Then the footsteps gradually faded and receded into the distance, until they were almost inaudible.
The area inside the fence became quiet.
Only the campfire crackled and popped in the distance, occasionally punctuated by the crisp sound of wood snapping.
Qin Chuan stood in the center of the fence, unable to use any of his skills, and everything in front of him was pitch black.
"Are you ready?" he asked.
No one answered.
"The countdown has started!"
Still, no one spoke.
Qin Chuan silently counted to ten in his mind, then opened his mouth and said, "Girls, why is everyone so quiet? I'm here."
He took the first step.
The boots made a dull thud as they stepped onto the stone slabs.
Qin Chuan stretched out his hands and groped his way forward like a blind man.
I can't see anything. I can't feel anything. All I can hear is the sound of the wind, the fire, and my own breathing.
The fence is thirty meters high—not too big, not too small. There are eleven people inside.
After taking five or six steps, my hands were still grasping at thin air.
Then he heard a very soft laugh.
It came from the left. It sounded like someone couldn't hold back and snorted out of their nose.
Qin Chuan immediately turned to the left and quickened his pace.
My finger touched the railing.
The cool touch of the wood traveled through his fingertips. He had reached the edge of the fence.
There was no one around.
Qin Chuan's hand slowly slid along the railing.
The wood surface was a bit rough, and occasionally you could feel a small knot. He walked along the inside of the fence, step by step, very slowly.
These people must have all been standing on the sidelines. A circle thirty meters in diameter, with nothing in the middle—only a fool would stand in the very center and wait to be caught. They must have stood in a circle along the railing, moving to the side as he approached.
Qin Chuan quickened his pace and started jogging along the edge of the fence.
Footsteps clattered on the ground.
A slight commotion came from ahead. Someone was moving; the soles of their shoes made a soft rustling sound as they scraped against the stone slabs.
Qin Chuan suddenly reached out, only to grab empty air.
Another burst of suppressed laughter followed. This time, it was several people laughing together, coming from different directions.
Qin Chuan stood there, catching his breath.
These people started hanging out with him.
Just as he was about to continue walking, someone suddenly patted him on the back.
It wasn't a strong slap, just a loud crack as it landed right in the middle of his back.
Then came the sound of hurried footsteps, running off in the opposite direction.
When Qin Chuan turned around, the person had already run far away.
"Hmm? You've got some nerve." Qin Chuan stood there, a slight smirk playing on his lips.
Another burst of laughter came from afar, some people covering their mouths. Several people were laughing, but they were all speaking in hushed tones so that Qin Chuan wouldn't be able to tell who it was.
Qin Chuan considered it for a moment.
This aimless groping is too inefficient. Eleven people standing close to a thirty-meter fence—even if he ran, he might not be able to catch up. They can see him, but he can't see them; the information gap is too huge.
We need to think of a solution.
Qin Chuan racked his brains for a moment, then suddenly remembered that he still had divine magic at his disposal!
