Desert Island Infrastructure: Claiming the System Brings Many Blessings
Chapter 77 Healing
After chatting for a while, the atmosphere in the cave gradually quieted down.
The storm outside was still raging, and the wind howled as it rushed in from the cave entrance. But the depths of the cave were warm and dry, and the campfire burned brightly. Everyone sat together, feeling quite at ease.
Qin Chuan's gaze swept over Liu Yan and Dilina.
Upon closer inspection, he noticed some details.
Liu Yan had several purplish-blue bruises on her arms, extending from her elbows to her forearms. There were also abrasions on her knees, which had scabbed over, but didn't look completely healed.
Dilina was in the same situation. Her left ankle had a large, swollen area, dark purple in color, clearly caused by a sprain or impact. She also had several marks on her calf, some abrasions, others bruises from bumps and knocks.
Qin Chuan frowned.
"Wait, you two."
Liu Yan and Dilina both looked up at Qin Chuan.
"I see you all have injuries." Qin Chuan pointed to Liu Yan's arm and then to Dilina's ankle.
Liu Yan looked down at her arm and gave a wry smile.
"These are from when I bumped into things in the cave. There were a lot of rocks in that cave, they were slippery and sharp, and I often bumped into them while walking. There are also a few scratches from branches in the dense forest."
Dilina also said, "I twisted my ankle three days ago. I stepped on a loose rock while walking on a mountain path and fell down. It swelled up immediately and hasn't gone down yet."
Upon hearing this, Lin Shishi walked over, squatted down, and examined Dilina's ankle.
"It's a mild sprain and contusion. There's no fracture, but the ligaments are strained. Normally, it requires at least a week of rest, with alternating ice and heat therapy. However, we don't have ice right now, so we can only soak in hot spring water to relieve the pain."
Lin Shishi then looked at the bruises on Liu Yan's arm.
"Subcutaneous bleeding is not serious, but it needs time to be absorbed naturally. It will take about one or two weeks to completely subside."
After listening to Lin Shishi's analysis, Qin Chuan started making plans in his mind.
One or two weeks is too long.
He possesses survival skills. Although it's only LV1 basic healing, it should be sufficient for treating injuries of this severity.
Furthermore, healing their injuries with survival skills would greatly help in building trust. After all, words are meaningless; demonstrating one's abilities is the most convincing approach.
"I can help you treat it," Qin Chuan said.
"Treat? How?" Lin Shishi looked up, her eyes filled with doubt.
"As a reward from the system, I now have the ability to accelerate wound healing."
Lin Shishi's expression changed.
She was a nurse by training, possessing a natural sensitivity to medicine. Accelerating wound healing? Such an ability would be revolutionary in a hospital on Earth.
"Is it true?" Lin Shishi's tone became more urgent.
"It's true." Qin Chuan stood up, walked to Dilina, and squatted down.
"I'll treat your ankle first. Stick your foot out."
Dilina hesitated for a moment, then stretched out her foot, revealing her swollen left ankle.
Qin Chuan extended his right hand, palm down, and placed it over Dilina's ankle.
Fan Yubing walked over from beside the door frame. She crossed her arms and tilted her head to look at Qin Chuan's hands.
"Alright, let's broaden our horizons then."
Qin Chuan closed his eyes and activated the survival technique in his mind.
A warm energy surged from his palm and enveloped Dilina's ankle.
A faint green light appeared beneath Qin Chuan's palm.
It wasn't very bright, but it was clearly visible in the cave's light. The green light enveloped Dilina's swollen ankle like a thin film of light.
Dilina felt a warmth emanating from her ankle. It was a warmth that seeped into her skin, reaching her bones and ligaments.
It feels so good. It's like having countless tiny fingers massaging inside.
A few seconds later, a change occurred.
The swelling on Dilina's ankle began to subside at a visible rate.
The dark purple bruises gradually lightened, then turned from purple to red, then from red to pale yellow, and finally disappeared completely.
The swelling is also subsiding. The ankle, which had been swollen with a large lump, is slowly returning to its normal shape.
The whole process took less than thirty seconds.
Qin Chuan withdrew his hand, and the green light dissipated.
Dilina looked down at her ankle and froze.
My ankle, which I sprained three days ago, now looks exactly like my perfectly healthy right ankle. There's no swelling, no bruising, and no marks whatsoever.
She tried rotating her ankle.
It doesn't hurt anymore, it doesn't hurt at all.
"Oh my god..." Dilina's voice trembled slightly, "It's healed? Really healed?"
Lin Shishi squatted down beside her and reached out to press on Dilina's ankle. She pressed on several points, but Dilina did not show any pain response.
"The swelling has completely subsided, and the tenderness is gone." Lin Shishi looked up, and her gaze towards Qin Chuan changed.
As a professional nurse, she knew all too well how long it normally takes for this kind of injury to heal. At least a week, and that's with proper rest.
Qin Chuan finished it in thirty seconds.
Lin Shishi's lips moved as if she wanted to say something, but in the end she only said four words.
"That's amazing."
Qin Chuan smiled and then walked up to Liu Yan.
"Stretch out your arm."
Without saying a word, Liu Yan offered her arm.
Qin Chuan placed his palm over Liu Yan's forearm, and the green light shone again.
This time the effect was even faster. The purplish-blue bruises on Liu Yan's arm faded within seconds and eventually disappeared completely. Her previously rough skin returned to its smooth and fair state.
Qin Chuan paused for a few more seconds above Liu Yan's knee, healing the abrasions there as well.
The whole process took less than a minute.
Liu Yan raised her arm and looked at it over and over again.
It was clean and white, without a single trace.
"This...how is this possible?" Liu Yan's voice trembled slightly.
She studied mechanical engineering, which emphasizes logic and principles. The fact that a single ray of light could heal an injury is something she couldn't explain using any of the theories she had studied.
But the facts are right in front of us.
After the treatment was completed, Qin Chuan stood up and clapped his hands.
Everyone looked at him with different expressions.
Keiko Kitagawa's eyes lit up: "Kawa-nii is amazing!"
Yang Mimi clapped her hands: "That's amazing! We don't have to be afraid of getting hurt anymore!"
Fan Yubing nodded, a smile playing on her lips: "Alright, this way we can save on the hospital."
Liu Yifei was silent for a few seconds before saying, "I must study the principles behind this survival technique carefully in the future."
Mina watched all this from the corner without saying a word, but a subtle change occurred in the expression in her eyes.
Liu Yan and Dilina exchanged a glance, both sharing the same thought.
Just how many hidden abilities does this man named Qin Chuan possess?
Meanwhile, Qin Chuan was thinking about collecting special ingredients. His survival skills were only two points away from being upgraded, and he was itching to do so.
Looks like I'll have to find an opportunity to act tonight.
