Desert Island Infrastructure: Claiming the System Brings Many Blessings
Chapter 79 Mina's Visit
Qin Chuan activated his pupil technique and walked down the passage.
A few luminous stones were scattered across the stone walls of the passage, barely enough to illuminate the path beneath our feet. The air grew increasingly stuffy and hot as we descended, carrying a damp, earthy smell.
After walking for about five minutes, Qin Chuan reached the end of the passage.
Suddenly, everything became clear.
The dome of the underground forest is inlaid with thousands of glowing stones, emitting blue-green and pale gold light, looking like a starry sky from afar.
Giant ferns and towering ancient trees cover the entire underground space, their canopies layered upon each other, the greenery so lush it's almost overwhelming.
Outside, the wind howled fiercely, but inside, it was so quiet that only the chirping of insects could be heard.
Qin Chuan stood at the entrance and scanned the surrounding 800-meter radius with his pupil technique. There was no signal from any large alien beasts.
The closest one is an otherworldly rabbit, more than 300 meters away, sleeping under a fern.
"No abnormalities found."
Qin Chuan breathed a sigh of relief, but did not let his guard down.
This underground forest may not look big, but as you go deeper into it, it becomes surprisingly large.
Further on, there are underground grasslands inhabited by strange beasts like fire lions and giant lizards. If anything were to sneak up through the passage, the consequences would be unimaginable.
Qin Chuan inspected the roadblocks at the entrance to the passage. The iron frame was wedged between two large rocks, with several heavy stones weighing it down.
With its current strength, it can hold off low-level alien beasts without any problem, but if something of level five or higher comes, this roadblock will be no match at all.
However, setting up roadblocks can primarily serve as an early warning system.
Qin Chuan put the stones back in their places, and after confirming that the iron frame was stable, he returned along the original path.
When they returned to the cave, the campfire had died down a bit, but the light still illuminated the entire space. Qin Chuan looked around; the doors of the cabins were all closed, and it was quiet inside.
The girls are all asleep, their breathing even.
Qin Chuan silently pondered survival techniques in his mind.
I'm currently at LV1 Beginner Healing, with a proficiency of 8/10. I'm just 2 points away from maxing out the skill.
After completing the daily check-in tomorrow, his survival skills will be upgraded, but Qin Chuan is a little impatient.
When Qin Chuan treated Liu Yan and Dilina's injuries tonight, he felt the limitations of primary healing.
The injuries of those two people weren't serious; basic treatment could handle them. But if they encountered more severe injuries, such as fractures or internal organ damage, basic treatment wouldn't be able to help.
Moreover, Qin Chuan was really curious about what new abilities Survival Skill LV2 would unlock.
"Fine, let's just bear with it. Everyone's survival skills will be upgraded after they finish their check-ins tomorrow."
Thinking this, Qin Chuan turned and walked towards his wooden house.
I pushed open the door of the wooden house and stepped inside.
After taking one step, Qin Chuan stopped.
There's someone in bed.
The luminous stone embedded in the ceiling cast a soft, pale blue light onto the bed. The person lay on their side, their back to the door.
The S-shaped curves of her body were on full display in the light. From the shoulders to the waist, it narrowed sharply, the waist so thin it seemed one could wrap it in one hand. Then, from the waist down, the lines of her hips suddenly widened, the curve exaggerated, like two small hills stacked together.
The black sports vest clung tightly to the upper body, the fabric stretched to its limit by the chest area, with the fabric below the chest even sticking up slightly, casting a huge arc-shaped shadow in the soft light.
The ripped denim shorts hung on her hips, revealing two long, firm legs with smooth muscle lines and skin that glowed with a healthy sheen under the pale blue light.
Qin Chuan recognized him at a glance.
Mina.
Why is she in my room? Did she come to the wrong place?
Qin Chuan was puzzled. Mina's little wooden house was at the other end of the cave, several houses away from his, so it was unlikely that he had gone to the wrong place.
Qin Chuan stood at the door without moving, hesitating whether to speak up and remind them.
Just then, Mina spoke up.
"Brother Chuan, close the door and come in."
The sound wasn't loud, but it was very clear.
Qin Chuan was taken aback. This meant that Mina had been awake all along and knew that he was the one who came in. She was waiting for him.
Qin Chuan recalled Mina's recent state. Since arriving on the island, this woman had been very quiet and kept her distance from everyone.
She didn't go into the water when soaking in the hot spring, and she usually stayed in a corner as much as possible during her daily activities, not interacting with people much.
I previously thought Mina was just introverted and didn't like socializing. But today, she came to my room on her own initiative, which is strange.
Qin Chuan closed the door and walked to the bedside.
Mina sat up in bed. She sat cross-legged, the hem of her black sports vest draped loosely over her waist, revealing the beautiful lines of her collarbone and neck in the soft light. Her long black hair cascaded over her shoulders, with a few strands falling in front of her chest.
Mina's face looked exceptionally delicate in the pale blue light. High cheekbones, a pointed chin, and thick eyelashes cast dappled shadows under her eyes.
Mina pointed to the empty space next to the bed.
"Sit down, Brother Chuan."
Qin Chuan sat down as instructed. The wooden bed creaked slightly under his weight.
"Mina, what's wrong?"
Mina didn't answer immediately. She lowered her head, her hands clasped together, her thumb repeatedly rubbing the nail of her other hand.
After a silence of about ten seconds, Mina finally spoke.
"I have a knot in my heart that I haven't been able to untie. So I've been feeling down lately and haven't been getting along well with everyone."
Qin Chuan nodded, without urging her.
"I know you might think I'm unsociable, but it's not that I don't want to fit in with everyone." Mina paused, lowering her voice even further, "It's just that I have two scars on my body, which have always been a source of pain for me."
"scar?"
Qin Chuan hadn't expected this reason.
Mina nodded. She pursed her lips, as if making a decision.
Then, Mina grabbed the hem of the sports vest and slowly pulled it up.
Her clothes rolled up inch by inch, first revealing her flat stomach. Mina's abdomen had not an ounce of fat; the outline of her abdominal muscles was faintly visible, and her navel was a small, round indentation. The skin on her sides was taut and smooth, as if coated with honey in the soft light.
The clothes continued to rise, revealing the area below the ribs.
Qin Chuan saw it.
Below Mina's DD, near her ribs, there are two horizontal scars. Each is about ten centimeters long and half a centimeter wide, with slightly raised scar tissue and a color several shades darker than the surrounding skin.
Two scars side by side marred what was once perfect skin.
Mina pulled her clothes up to about two centimeters above the scars and stopped, not going any higher. But Qin Chuan's gaze was enough to see the entirety of the two scars.
"How did you do that?" Qin Chuan asked.
Mina didn't answer. Her expression wasn't clear in the soft light, but Qin Chuan could sense that she didn't want to say why.
Qin Chuan didn't press the matter, instead analyzing the two scars in his mind.
It is located below the chest, about ten centimeters long and half a centimeter wide.
The scar has a very regular shape; I don't know when it was made.
"I saw you treating Liu Yan and Dilina's injuries today, and their scars disappeared instantly." Mina looked up at Qin Chuan. "So I wanted to ask you, could you help me too?"
Qin Chuan looked into Mina's eyes. In those eyes, there was expectation, nervousness, and a little unease.
"Okay," Qin Chuan said.
Mina's shoulders relaxed slightly.
"Thank you, Brother Chuan." Mina paused, then added, "If you can help me remove the scars, I'll let you have the ultimate reward tonight. Anyway, it's good for everyone if you become stronger."
Qin Chuan's heart skipped a beat. He didn't dwell on the topic and nodded.
"I'll give it a try, and I hope you can be happy in the future."
"Thanks."
