The girls started moving the furniture.

Lin Shishi and Kitagawa Keiko carried a smaller chair, stool, and dressing table into the wooden house.

The wardrobe was too big to fit through the doorway, so Qin Chuan used his construction skills to disassemble it into several pieces, moved them inside, and then reassembled them on the spot.

Yang Mimi moved the cupboard next to the stove and neatly arranged the pots, pans and dishes inside.

Fan Yubing snatched the dressing table into her room, saying, "Finally, I have a decent place to put my things."

Qin Chuan dismantled all the crooked old furniture in the house, recycled the wood, and used his construction skills to directly lay wooden floors.

After the wooden floor was laid, the entire log cabin's quality was instantly elevated. The floor was smooth and even underfoot, no longer the uneven, muddy ground it had been before.

After more than two hours of work, the wooden house was completely transformed.

The space has been expanded to 100 square meters, with four bedrooms and a living room. All the gaps in the walls have been sealed with rubber, and the roof panels are tightly joined together to prevent rainwater from getting in. The interior includes a dining table, chairs, wardrobes, cupboards, a dressing table, and wooden floors.

While it can't compare to a proper house on Earth, it's already a mansion on this deserted island.

As the sun began to set in the west, the light became softer.

The nine people stood in the open space in front of the wooden house, looking at the renovated house, and were all in a good mood.

Fan Yubing leaned against the doorframe, her long legs crossed one in front of the other. She glanced around the wooden house and said casually, "To be honest, it's much better than I imagined. At least it looks like a house now."

Lin Shishi stood in the middle of the courtyard and looked around at her surroundings.

After the storm, Qin Chuan used his construction skills to move all the obstructing trees near the camp, leaving only a few large trees to provide shade. The courtyard became much more spacious, and sunlight could now stream in.

Lin Shishi said, "The environment here is really nice. There's a beach in front and open space behind where we can grow things. Plus, the fruit tree seeds have already been planted, so we can pick them as soon as we go out."

Yang Mimi squatted in front of the stove wiping the cupboard, muttering, "Although the kitchen is still open-air, it's different with the cupboard. There's a place to put things, and cooking is much more efficient."

Liu Yifei returned after walking around the back of the wooden house and said, "The soil in the backyard is quite good. Qin Chuan used survival techniques to accelerate the growth of a batch of seeds before, and some of them have already sprouted. If we continue to stimulate them, we should see results in a week or two."

Keiko Kitagawa sat in the newly made chair, shifting her position on the seat with a satisfied look: "So, where will we stay tonight?"

After those words were spoken, everyone fell silent for a moment.

They currently have two bases. One is a wooden cabin campsite by the sea here, and the other is a cave campsite five kilometers away.

There are hot springs and an entrance to an underground forest on the other side of the cave, making it highly resistant to wind and rain. However, it is located in a remote area, far from the sea, and has poor lighting.

The area around the seaside cabins has seafood, salt fields, and agricultural areas; the sea is right outside the door, the air is fresh, and there's plenty of sunshine. However, it can be troublesome during storms, as the cabins have limited defensive capabilities.

However, after Qin Chuan used his construction skills to renovate and reinforce the wooden house today, the situation has improved a lot.

"Let's cast a vote," Qin Chuan said. "Raise your hand if you want to live here."

Yang Mimi was the first to raise her hand, and then everyone else followed suit.

"Unanimously approved." Qin Chuan made the decision. "Then we'll stay here. However, the new house only has four rooms and a living room right now, so it might be a bit crowded at night. But by tomorrow, I can expand the wooden cabin by 100 square meters, then it won't be so crowded anymore."

Keiko Kitagawa immediately chimed in, "It's alright, it's alright. As long as the bed is big enough, we can all squeeze together."

Yang Mimi turned her head and glanced at Kitagawa Keiko, her lips twitching slightly.

Fan Yubing shook her head and didn't say anything.

Lin Shishi's ears turned red again.

Qin Chuan sighed inwardly: [Wow, one man crammed with eight women? Japanese girls are really open-minded.]

"Alright, I'll go back to the cave first and get some things I need: tools, food, leopard skin, and cows."

Lin Shishi added, "There's also yarn and cotton; the materials we use for knitting are there too."

"Okay. You guys stay here and continue packing, I'll be right back." After saying that, Qin Chuan turned and ran towards the dense forest.

At his current speed, he can cover the five-kilometer distance in just a few minutes.

Qin Chuan made two trips between the cave and the seaside campsite.

The first batch brought back tools and ingredients: machetes, bone-bladed daggers, whetstones, iron bars, earthenware bowls and jars, dried seaweed, smoked meat, noodles and shredded fruit, as well as a large bundle of cotton and yarn.

The second trip brought back dairy cows.

Qin Chuan mentally commanded the cow: "Follow me."

The cow slowly walked out of the cave on its four thick legs, following the path Qin Chuan had trodden, step by step towards the sea.

The cows weren't moving fast, and by the time they were led to the camp, it was almost dark.

When Kitagawa Keiko saw the cow approaching, she excitedly ran over and reached out to touch its head.

"Little Flower, Little Flower, welcome back!"

The cow mooed and looked at Kitagawa Keiko with its big, watery eyes.

Yang Mimi had already set up a bonfire in the yard and started preparing dinner. There was quite a bit of seafood left over from today, plus the smoked meat and noodle strips that Qin Chuan brought back, enough for nine people to eat their fill.

Mina came out of the cabin and helped sort and put away the tools. Mina was quick and efficient, arranging everything in a very organized manner.

Qin Chuan noticed that Mina's condition today was completely different from before.

Mina used to be taciturn and aloof, rarely speaking except for necessary exchanges.

But she was different today. Although she still didn't talk much, she was noticeably more relaxed. She would occasionally chat with Yang Mimi or offer to help Lin Shishi with things.

Qin Chuan knew the reason. Last night's events, coupled with the removal of the abdominal scar, had made Mina lower her guard.

Dinner was ready, and Yang Mimi carried a large bowl of seafood noodles to the dining table.

This dining table was made by Qin Chuan this afternoon using his construction skills. It's made of oak, has a smooth surface, and can easily seat nine people.

"Dinner's ready!"

Nine people sat around a dining table, with a campfire burning not far away, its orange-red flames reflecting on everyone's faces.

Yang Mimi's cooking skills are getting better and better. The noodles are cooked to the perfect firmness, the seafood soup is delicious, the crab meat is broken off and mixed into the noodles, and with a little wild ginger and salt, the taste is no worse than the food stalls on Earth.

After dinner, Qin Chuan made several more chairs for the elderly under the coconut trees on the beach.

Nine people, some sitting in elderly chairs, drinking juice, watching the red sunset on the horizon.

Some people take a walk along the coastline.

Several other girls were practicing yoga.

The evening breeze was gentle on the beach, and the setting sun dyed the entire sea surface a warm orange-gold color. Tiny waves lapped against the beach again and again, carrying a faint scent of sea salt.

Qin Chuan sat in the old chair, drinking juice, his gaze involuntarily falling on the beach not far away.

Fan Yubing, Mina, and Yang Mimi each laid out a grass mat and stood barefoot on the soft white sand, slowly practicing yoga as dusk fell.
