Chapter 1036, Section 1032: The Sixth Fleet (Second Update)

The target of this operation is the U.S. Navy, with a focus on the U.S. Sixth Fleet.

This naval fleet, which participated in the Libyan War, the Gulf War, the large-scale air campaign against Yugoslavia, and the Iraq War, has been stationed in the Mediterranean for many years and is the most active of all the U.S. Navy fleets. The reason why the United States dares to openly interfere in the political situation in the Middle East and Southeast Europe is because of the existence of this fleet. The naval fleet headquartered in Naples, Italy, has a nickname: "Mediterranean Police," and its counterpart is the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

Following Salomon's speech in Hungary, the fleet commenced operations. Intelligence agencies and the Imperial Guard, using reconnaissance satellites, were fully aware of the Mediterranean fleet's every move. Combined with intelligence from General Hale, the Immortal City even obtained the naval roster and weapon serial numbers. If the United States hadn't been wary of Latvia's ability to strike orbiting satellites and hadn't been working to counter this threat, an air raid could very well have struck Latvia and Hungary the day after the speech. The fleet's existence posed a significant threat to Latvia; relying solely on air defense systems was insufficient. If Latvia sought Serbian cooperation, the Sixth Fleet's Mediterranean battle group would have to be destroyed.

After Salomon's assault transport convoy landed, he immediately strode into the bunker, surrounded by Hammurabi and other Sisters of the Sisters militia, accompanied by a large number of anti-aircraft guns and missiles. This war council bunker, nestled in the mountains, was built during the Latvian Liberation War, only twenty kilometers from the then-Latvian militia camp, but its location was unknown to anyone except high-ranking officers. After the Latvian Civil War ended, the newly built bunker was immediately put into use, and the Ministry of Military Affairs deployed an air defense system for its intensive protection, ensuring it could even retaliate against air raids.

Salomon walked along the concrete and alloy passageway to his private preparation room, summoned his power armor, and donned it.

After inspecting his explosive rifle, he pushed open the door and walked with the Imperial Guard and the Sorority to the command post where Viktor von Doom was located. Upon entering the grey command post, constructed of reinforced concrete, holograms of Victoria Hand, Tita, and Constantine appeared around the long table in the conference room; they were the main force in this operation.

To strike the assembling US Navy, the Immortal City's forces must disperse across the Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Arctic Oceans to achieve a complete annihilation of the enemy. On a holographically projected Earth model, a carrier strike group representing the Immortal City, formerly part of S.H.I.E.L.D. and now belonging to Immortal City, is heading towards the Arctic Ocean, with Sky Carriers, Sky Battleships, and Sky Destroyers facing carrier battle groups in different theaters of war. Salomon is leading a strike transport group departing from Latvinia, preparing to penetrate the atmosphere from outside the atmosphere and launch a decapitation strike against the Sixth Fleet's carrier strike group in the Mediterranean.

"We've made contact with the Russian Black Sea Fleet through clandestine channels." Victoria Hand adjusted her glasses, the holographic projection simulating every single strand of her hair. He seemed very anxious because he knew that the longer this matter dragged on, the worse it would be for the people of Latvia.

Latvia is still reliant on the support of the Immortal City. Hungary has only recently allied with the Immortal City, and the Orbán government is preoccupied with stabilizing its own domestic situation, leaving it with little capacity to support Latvia. Even though Stephanie's Ministry of the Interior has begun establishing a Latvian planning and construction department, starting to build houses and bio-farms for Latvians, their living standards have not improved significantly. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' desire to sign trade agreements with other countries and acquire basic industrial goods, consumer goods, and other necessities for improving their lives depends on the performance of the War Parliament to ensure it is not blackmailed. While the military strength demonstrated by the swift conquest of Hungary is noteworthy, it is still insufficient for Latvia.

Neither Tita nor Constantine spoke; the Sorority and the strike squad led by the Royal Guard were already prepared.

The assault transport ships carrying them are equipped with a large number of anti-ship missiles. Relying on their electronic warfare advantages, they can evade radar detection and conduct beyond-visual-range strikes. Sky battleships and sky destroyers can also provide fire support and flight platforms, completing the combat mission in a very short time. Command of the Wild Regiment and the Latvian regular army has been handed over to Viktor von Dum, the regent tasked with stabilizing the situation within Latvian territory and developing military plans against NATO. If he could, Viktor von Dum would love to storm the White House alone and force politicians to sign the agreement.

"Distribute the strike force to the other two groups; the Mediterranean Fleet will be handled by you and me," Viktor von Doom said. Each strike team consists of one hundred fully armed, genetically modified warriors—more than enough to take down a city, not to mention the various vehicles that will land alongside them. When heavy tracked armored vehicles and main battle tanks land on the aircraft carrier deck, victory is assured; those warriors will bring victory to their masters. "This is the most resource-efficient and fastest way to achieve our goal. The two of us can easily take down the Mediterranean Fleet. We should let the world see our individual strength; it will benefit the upcoming negotiations."

"Individual offensive capabilities need to be demonstrated only when necessary; otherwise, our original allies will flee out of fear. After all, most people are ordinary citizens, and ordinary citizens feel fear. Moreover, if you don't stay in Latvinia, I'm worried that a sudden US air strike might occur." Salomon briefly reviewed the battle plan and finalized the operational procedures with each strike force. Malbus's support forces were about to arrive. After repeatedly confirming these combat robots weren't artificial intelligence, and that Mars also intended to establish a combat robot legion encompassing command and maintenance, Salomon allowed Malbus's underhanded tactics to continue.

Mars is the most important scientific research force of the Immortal City. Many weapons of mass destruction originated from Malbus, not to mention some prototypes of extinction weapons. Wakanda is absolutely unwilling to conduct research in this area. Some darker and more dangerous technologies were developed, simulated, and perfected by silicon-based lifeforms, rather than entirely by humans. Salomon activated the protective field of his power armor for a self-check. This mysterious technology, jointly developed by him and Malbus, could only be issued in limited quantities to important figures.
