Chapter 1253 Space Flash Phenomenon

Chapter 1253 Space Flash Phenomenon (First Update)

The war between the Emperor and Quetzalcoatl was an absolute catastrophe for ordinary people. For the common people living in the West Coast of Africa, the scene they witnessed would be unforgettable for the rest of their lives—they had never seen such a massive creature. Even though it had been dragged into the clouds, Quetzalcoatl's existence still seemed enormous to humans living on the ground. Its flapping wings as it struggled still stirred up gusts of wind and thunder. The torrential rain and flashes of light above the clouds stretched from the east coast of South America all the way across the South Atlantic, drawing a chasm between the pitch-black night and the leaden clouds flashing with lightning.

The immense kinetic energy propelled its massive body through the atmosphere, atomic fire enveloping the behemoth. Like a meteorite, it ripped a bloody wound across the sky, its fleeting, burning light briefly replacing the starlight that faded after nightfall. A scorching heatwave descended, creating high-pressure zones and countless atmospheric turbulences in the chasm. Rain, thunderstorms, and hurricanes followed. The gravitational pull of Quetzalcoatl's own mass slightly affected Earth's gravity, causing numerous natural disasters even from a mere brush against its edge. Like blowing on scalding liquid in a teacup, the hurricanes generated by Quetzalcoatl constantly battered the South Atlantic, causing the west coast of Africa to swell until it submerged low-lying areas.

This is a myth set in modern times, where the fragile ecological balance seems to be on the verge of a mass extinction. But it's not just the SkySword Space Station, Latvinia, and the military forces of various countries that have detected the anomalies with their air defense radars that are paying attention to this war. As Quetzalcoatl and the Emperor ascend to a certain altitude, a circular shield composed of countless complex geometric manifolds and incomprehensible symbols, shimmering with orange-red sparks, immediately ignites in the atmosphere below. The electromagnetic storm generated by storms, thunder, and atomic fire strikes the shield, creating a shimmering waterfall of fireworks that can be clearly seen even from space.

There was nothing in space except pure silence and the clicking sounds of the powered armor's communicators receiving various electromagnetic waves: songs from Earth, military communications, and automatic broadcasts from the Latvian asteroid belt automatic transmitter. He blinked and, through the command system and neural feedback in his helmet, shut down the communication receiver and the armor's low-level alarm regarding its sealed devices.

The pure white light gradually faded, revealing the emperor in his radiance.

Frost condensed on the feathered serpent's scales and the emperor's armor, the colossal creature's scales refracting the rays emitted by the stars, shimmering in the void. Seconds later, the frost on the scales melted due to the heated scales and the heat refracted from the atmosphere. As its long tail broke free of the atmosphere, it drew up the last thin layer of misty air, creating a final sonic boom. The unmelted frost on its serpentine body fell like hail, dragged down into the sunlight-shimmering atmosphere and void.

He pulled the holy sword from the scales before him, raising the Aegis shield above his head to block the extradimensional blood splashing towards him due to gravity and inertia. Stars twinkled before him as Pegasus rapidly flapped his wings, wrestling with the feathered serpent and further propelling the behemoth out of orbit. The oxygen production system of his powered armor activated, extracting oxygen from compounds and mixing it with his breath to provide a stable supply of oxygen to maintain his blood oxygen levels.

He didn't really need this ability. Although he couldn't breathe in space, he had hundreds of techniques that could force his lungs to work, drawing oxygen from nothingness. However, these tricks using extradimensional energy were a waste for him now; all his power had to be used for killing.

Losing air resistance, the giant serpent's tail began to contract deftly, its wings flapping in the oxygen-free environment, releasing extradimensional energy to propel its massive body into extraordinary maneuvers. It coiled towards the emperor, who floated in the void, with a seemingly slow but incredibly swift speed, like a python in the Amazon rainforest, its giant yellow eyes gleaming with the glee of impending murder. At the same time, a large amount of satellite debris and space junk floating in orbit was heading in this direction. He recognized one of the copper antenna clouds—space debris created by the American Westford Project; this thing shouldn't have been here.

The emperor hoisted Aegis to the side of his horse, then raised the holy sword and took a deep breath of oxygen thick with the scent of chemicals. Just as when he first grasped the sword, all his emotions—his hatred, anger, sacrifice, joy, mercy, and all other human emotions that sprang from the soul—were poured into it as fuel, urging the holy sword to sever the seal, but now he was far more powerful than ever before.

"I have one more question." He recalled a conversation from the past. Even in his immortal memory, the conversation was as blurry as a dream from a previous life. He remembered a woman in a dark green dress looking at him with eyes as gentle as if she were looking at her own child. "Who am I? The Stigmata, Salomon, or the Lord of Humanity?"

She gave an answer.

"Zoom in!" Marbas commanded the operator. The space telescope, originally used to observe celestial bodies, twisted at an angle that could have caused it to collapse, aiming its expensive lens at the Feathered Serpent and the seemingly tiny but constantly radiating soft light below it. No one had witnessed such brilliance since 2012. The energy readings on the Sky Sword space station were steadily rising; this was the first time someone had physically measured the phenomenon emanating from the Holy Sword. "Can you see it clearly? Can you see it?"

"Supreme Sage, this... the space telescope is too close. The emitted electromagnetic waves could very well burn out the electronic components." The voice was shrill, filled with the tension of an ordinary person. Marbas saw the person; the facial scan matched the personnel file, and a piece of information jumped into Marbas's electronic eye. This was one of the astronomers sent into space after the Latvian expansion war, one of the leaders of a deep space exploration project jointly undertaken by Latvian, Wakanda, and the Martian Foundry. He controlled many space telescopes and was responsible for exploring the solar system's halo, searching for a certain anomalous gravity point, and providing the theoretical basis for subsequent experiments. "Isn't the cost of doing this too high?" the astronomer asked. At this moment, the Avengers, who had sought political asylum in Latvian, could only stand aside, unable to understand anything. "This project is very important for the future."

"Continue. The Wakanda's space telescope is too outdated and cannot meet the observation needs." Mabas clenched his fist and shut down the alarm. The bionic organ detected the disordered currents caused by the artificial nerve's past excited neural activity and immediately calmed the body and machine through chemical nerve inhibitors and current adjustment, respectively, bringing them back to a stable operating mode. However, for the bio-engineered brain rigidly connected to the space station, only cooling with nutrient solution could restore its composure. "I believe that as long as I can provide a better space telescope, the Emperor won't mind this! Continue. The Emperor doesn't want the common people to worship him excessively; he needs a theory to explain his power."

Like a supernova explosion, a golden brilliance flashed across the dark universe, mercilessly melting and vaporizing the asteroid belt in its path. This was followed by another blast, but this time it lasted longer, the torrent of scorching energy propelling a giant creature toward Mars. To ordinary people living on Earth, this orbital blast was simply a long flash in the night sky. Nations with space observation capabilities had already recorded the scene via satellite and begun measuring the electromagnetic radiation left behind, attempting to determine the distance affected by the phenomenon. However, for the scientists on the Tianjian space station, this wasn't a task requiring lengthy data analysis and research; it was an obvious answer, observable to the naked eye.

"Koboy Belt, sir." The astronomer wiped the cold sweat from his brow; his nervousness drew disdain from the many Martian forging sages present. "The Emperor has arrived in the Koboy Belt."
