Chapter 182 I'm too full

Chapter 182 I'm Stuffed (Second Update!)

Salomon continued his playful banter with the witch as usual. He had no intention of taking things to the next level with Bayonetta. After all, he didn't have any potions that could make him grow taller. He had been working hard to train and eat in order to match the witch's height, and he absolutely couldn't afford to fail at this crucial moment.

Although Bayonetta usually takes the lead, he didn't know what Athena and Bayonetta had said that made the witch more powerful than before.

"You'll just waste it after you sleep on it anyway, might as well give it to me!" Bayonetta raised an eyebrow, licked her moist lips, and uttered extremely bold words, completely disregarding Salo the Mongol's gaze—today the witch was only wearing a gray off-the-shoulder sweater, revealing her graceful shoulders. Upon returning to her apartment, she immediately took off her tight jeans and high heels, black fishnet stockings tightly binding her long, slender legs.

Bayonetta's attire intrigued Salomon; she dressed deliberately, and when she intentionally passed before him, the sorcerer's eyes were glued to her.

Even so, the witch's plan failed. Jeanne desperately held onto Bayonetta, preventing her from getting close to Salomon. At the same time, Jeanne also rejected Bayonetta's suggestion that she sleep with Salomon that night. Jeanne warily eyed Salomon, waiting for the sorceress to approach so she could fire her gun.

"Don't worry, I'm still staying on the sofa tonight. No…" Salomon patted the fat cat in his arms. He kept thinking about a question that had been swirling in his mind ever since Stark left, like a vulture waiting for its prey to die. But hours had passed, and Salomon could only hear the vulture's desolate cry. The answer to this question remained elusive, preventing him from stopping his steps to catch up.

"I might have to go back to Kamar-Taj," he said. "I have a problem that I haven't been able to resolve."

"You can tell me about your problems," Bayonetta said, leaning against Jeanne as the two witches huddled at the other end of the sofa. She nudged Salomon's thigh with her toe. "You never tell me your problems, Salomon. That won't do; we're supposed to live together."

“It’s an academic matter, Bayonetta. Do you think I would have any doubts about life? I live with you all the time.” Salomon sighed softly. “But I think you should also listen to this question—am I really not in the Akashic Records? Although I told Stark that, I can’t actually be sure. Although I use the Cosmic Cauldron, which allows me to peer into the Akashic Records, to observe the universe, I can’t see my own reflection. That’s why I’m certain that my fate isn’t predetermined—but the events in Salem, and this silver key around my neck, have made me doubt my fate. I’m starting to believe that someone has predetermined my destiny, and the only path I see to escape it is fraught with danger. A slight misstep could lead to utter madness and merging me with the chaotic universe.”

"Do you think it was fate that brought us together, little one?" Bayonetta pondered for a moment after hearing Salomon's question. She seemed to have some difficulty expressing her true thoughts, and revising her words took her a lot of time. Fortunately, both Joan of Arc and Salomon were extremely patient people (with certain people).

"Boya, I don't believe it was fate that made me decide to be with you. I did it entirely based on my own feelings." Bayonetta poked Salomon's cheek with her toe again. "Just because of you, and nothing else."

The witch hadn't finished speaking, nor did she intend to continue.

What made Bayonetta decide to accept Salomon's supervision forever wasn't just Kamar-Taj's orders, but more so Salomon's doting affection for Ceressa. Bayonetta knew the importance of familiars to spellcasters, yet Salomon still summoned a perpetually useless fat cat as his familiar, for which he was responsible for cleaning up after it every day. She knew Salomon hated extradimensional beings and resented accepting the identity of King Solomon, so after the successful demon summoning experiment, he rarely summoned helpers from the lower planes, instead summoning Phoenix, one of the seventy-two Demon Lords, as Ceressa's protector. Fortunately, Phoenix was friendly enough that Salomon hadn't sent it back to the lower planes. The witch also knew how much Salomon respected the Sorcerer Supreme, but for Ceressa's sake, Salomon even dared to protest against the most revered Sorcerer Supreme.

Therefore, when Ceresa returned to the past, and Bayonetta's memories were affected, the witch's dependence on Salomon was amplified infinitely. However, due to her pride, Bayonetta couldn't show it, so she could only take advantage of Jeanne's absence to give Salomon a little "sweetness"—this was her tactic, after all, her mother was the most beautiful among the witches. She had once imagined what her future partner would be like with her mother across the prison cell.

These tips were all taught to her by her mother.

"There's no need to worry about that, Boya," Bayonetta said, tilting her head. "Whether our fate is predetermined or not, the most important thing is that we're together. If fate doesn't allow us to be together, then we'll rebel against it. It's that simple. We're a family."

"I...I had no idea you were so eloquent, Bayonetta." Salomon glanced at the witch out of the corner of his eye. "And you said it so touchingly."

Joan of Arc looked at Salomon with disdain. The sorcerer decided to ignore the French woman, because she certainly wasn't part of that family!

"Your turn," Bayonetta gestured with her chin to Salomon. "I've been waiting to hear what you have to say!"

Salomon turned around curiously to face Bayonetta. "What did you say?" he asked.

I've finished explaining why I'm with you. Now it's your turn.

"Did you say that? I didn't hear you say that." The sorcerer replied, completely bewildered. He hadn't heard Bayonetta say anything like that, and now that he had to answer, he couldn't come up with anything. He couldn't very well say it was because Bayonetta had long legs and abs, an independent and strong personality, beautiful long hair, and the occasional awkwardness she showed in life, could he?

This woman is both sexy and cute, how could Salomon not like her?

"Don't argue with pretty women about this." The witch stuck out her tongue, making a rare, playful expression, as if she had suddenly jumped back to being fourteen years old. "I'm pretty, so I keep my word. I said I meant it. Boya, never argue with a woman, you can't win."

"I'm very curious about what Athena told you that made you like this."

"Your foster mother has already told me to keep this a secret," the witch adjusted her glasses, "It's a woman's little secret, one you'll never know. All you need to know is that your foster mother told me some stories—stories of Hera, the Queen of Gods, which you certainly don't want to hear. Now, tell me, why do you like me?"

Salomon opened his mouth, mustered his courage, and prepared to answer the most difficult question he had ever faced: to answer it correctly, he couldn't simply praise him; instead, he had to meticulously describe every step since their meeting that had moved him, leaving no detail overlooked, to show that he had remembered these things firmly in his heart. (Did you learn it?)

The more detailed the better; the more detailed, the happier the questioner will be. If you could also include the date and weather, that would be even better. These words sounded cheesy, but Salomon said them naturally as he approached the witch.

Joan of Arc was left alone, and no one noticed her. Bayonetta and Salomon were getting closer and closer, and they didn't have time to pay attention to her.

She quietly hiccuped.

Good grief, there are also people skipping to the next few chapters—these chapters are like Normal Summoned monsters that get their fates severed on the first turn after being played second. I'm playing a Paladin deck, and this is just maddening. I'm so angry... there are a bunch of people skipping to the next chapter from 171 to 176... This is driving people with OCD crazy.

It felt like a monster card being flipped over by a bottomless pit; I cried.

Thank you GGsbada for the 4000 points!

Thank you, thank you.

Then I'm asking for your votes.
