Chapter 382 Who Makes the Rules in This House?

Chapter 382 Who Calls the Facts in This House? (First Update)

"Tsk." Salomon's disdainful snort was drowned out by the crackling of the airplane lights, then carried away by the rising summer heat into the starlit night sky. Tobias wanted to say a few more words to Miss Huggins, but he was met only by his apprentices wielding the Sacred Sword of Vishanti.

The wailing of a ghost upon contact with positive energy was like faint ripples emanating from the depths of a lake. Tobias tried to run, but Salomon took the pistol he had given to Agent Coulson and fired a shot at him. The bullet kicked up a patch of turf and dirt at Tobias's feet, and Tobias was reminded once again of Salomon's appearance in the ghost world.

It was a face far more terrifying than the withered ghosts of the deep ethereal ocean. Tobias had only been dead a short time and was not yet familiar with the feeling of wandering in the deep ether, but he knew there were many horrible things there. But when Salomon appeared, those things fled as if they had encountered some natural enemy.

Tobias roared in protest, but Salomon responded with a disdainful laugh.

"Hurry up." To incite Tobias to attack the apprentice, Salomon decided to provoke him. "Hurry up! You have no idea how much the person you like suffers when they see your disastrously stupid, incestuous face!" the wizard said in the most vicious tone. "You still have sins to atone for, you noisy, wrench-wielding toddler. Not only in the human world, but in hell, there are punishments waiting for you. A soul like yours can't even be transformed into a little devil; you only deserve to be tortured in hell and turned into the lowest denomination of coins."

"No! I..."

"Hurry up!" Salomon's words sent chills down the agents' spines. "I can shatter your soul, ensuring you never even reach hell. Just attack them..."

"Enough, Salomon." The young mage frowned, interrupting him. "Since the target isn't cooperating, we can take the apprentices to the Aetherial Dimension to look for ghosts. There's no need to target this idiot. To be honest, this target is too weak. It's pointless for the apprentices. The ghosts we faced on our first mission were stronger than this."

Salomon glanced at the young mage, his lips twisting in a smirk, before finally abandoning the idea. The young mage's suggestion sounded reasonable; there were plenty of targets, no need to fixate on this fool with goldfish eyes. "I just hope you're not pitying that idiot, Your Majesty," Salomon said to the apprentices. "You protect Hannah Hudgens, then let him talk to her and get him to tell you the truth about the particle accelerator explosion."

Skye looked at Salomon expectantly, and Salomon smiled back at him before continuing to give orders to the apprentices. "Then crush his soul. There's war going on in the lower planes right now, and I don't want to see another dreadful thing added to the devil's possessions."

"You think Tobias was tempted by the devil?" the young sorcerer asked with interest. "How are you so sure? Only the devil can see the mark on a soul. Can you tell which devil his soul belongs to?"

"Reckless, chaotic, and disregarding consequences—very likely one of Baal's henchmen, the devil most like a demon." Salomon returned the pistol to Agent Coulson. The S.H.I.E.L.D. agent was clearly interested in the topic Salomon had brought up; he listened openly but made sure not to interrupt.

"I haven't been able to find any trace of Baal's possession since that one-eyed skull." Salomon didn't care about the ordinary people present. He believed that even if Agent Coulson understood, he wouldn't be able to find the target. "Marduk's daughter didn't provide any clues either, and her seduced partner recovered after his mental breakdown. As for Marduk's son, ha (this was Salomon's scornful laugh), he's now chasing after that little nun in Rome, looks like he wants to become a clergyman."

"This is absolutely absurd."

"Who says otherwise? The demonic blood within him won't allow it. Given his terrible family situation, I need to find a chance to send him to hell and give his father some trouble." Salomon turned his head, urging the apprentices to finish this quickly—Tobias's apology was useless. Ever since Hannah Hudgens met him, his once decent work situation had deteriorated like a broken-down car crashing downhill, rattling annoyingly and making everyone dizzy. Now, this idiot had killed someone, and his apology was worthless—even the sorcerers protecting Miss Hudgens couldn't stand it anymore. Even before they joined Kamar-Taj, if they encountered such an idiot, they would have slapped him across the face.

Agamotto's crystal ball judgment is correct; Tobias as a ghost is not much better than he was as a human. Even if he went to Hell and was pulled out again, it wouldn't matter much to the apprentices.

Only Hannah Hudgens, the poor lady, sat on the ground crying.

"This poor little thing is yours to handle." Salomon led his apprentices off the plane. "Hopefully we won't see each other again."

"Who are you?!" Hannah Hudgens opened her mouth, numb from crying. The warmth Salomon had given her in the cell was something she had never experienced before; she felt incredibly close to God at that moment. "How can I find you?!"

"Are you serious?" Salomon rolled his eyes. "Go home and praise God; you don't want to see me."

"Oh ho, my adorable little kitten, one simple task and you've charmed a devout lady." Bayonetta grabbed Salomon's tie and pinned him against the wall. The witch said mockingly, "Well, it seems I can't let you out any longer, or those shameless women will be swarming around you, licking your honey. I'm sure those women not only want to lick your chest, but they want to keep licking downwards!"

“Honey, can we stop them from laughing at us? Phoenix, the Cheshire Cat, and Pegasus understand human speech,” Salomon said, gesturing to the creatures on the sofa. Phoenix and the Cheshire Cat were watching TV, while a small sculpture of Pegasus was perched on a Pegasus-shaped plush toy. The non-human creatures of the house were all sitting on the sofa watching TV, but their heads were turned towards Salomon and the witch by the door. The only one who didn't understand was Samun Shaw's foster dog.

"Little Bear!" Jeanne whistled, and the German Shepherd immediately stood up from its kennel. It nimbly dodged the Cheshire Cat's claws, then licked the grey shorthair cat until it tumbled onto the sofa, eliciting a disgruntled meow from the Cheshire Cat. The Cheshire Cat didn't like the dog, even though Jeanne had said it would only be staying for a day. However, it always managed to dodge the Cheshire Cat's sneak attacks.

After doing all that, the little bear jumped to the other side of the sofa and accepted Joan of Arc's caresses.

"Now even the little bear knows about this," Joan of Arc said smugly. "Don't forget, the Witch Umberah can communicate with animals. Hey, what are you doing! Ceresia, why did you pin him against the wall and kiss him! Look at his expression, he has no idea what he did wrong!"

"I promise, nothing happened!" Salomon wiped the lipstick from his lips. "But I don't mind being kissed again."

"So, do you know what to do?"

"Of course, of course."

"Hey, why are you guys going to the bedroom now!"

The Cheshire Cat sat on the sofa, covering its eyes with its paws. It knew another family brawl was about to begin.
