Marvel Magic Case Files

Chapter 428 All of this!

Chapter 428 All of this! (First Update)

Every arcane mage is a master of defaulting on debts and buying on credit. Every time the demons throw out bait, the powerful mages devour it all, leaving no trace, and then the sharp hooks are thrown back. But such tricks don't always work, and this deal was no exception. Agamotto, with his boundless curiosity about the other universes, was the perfect shield Salomon found when faced with Yog-Sothoth's refusal to compress the files.

However, Salomon overestimated his ability to withstand the strain before activating his Stigmata. His experience of confronting the ancient immortals was of no use at this moment. He was forced to activate his Stigmata, elevating his status. His vision was shifted from the material world to the morphological world, and from the morphological world to the creative world.

The scene that entered his eyes was no longer the dim stone chamber, but the distorted and intertwined realms of all outer dimensions. He saw spirits and souls, and he saw light being projected in an orderly fashion onto the prime material plane. His figure grew ever more majestic, ever more beautiful, ever more benevolent. This nobility needed no words; simply standing beside him was enough to understand his identity, his mission, and everything he represented.

Under the revelation of that ineffable light, Maya Hansen saw everything.

That was a grand mission to allow humanity to take root and flourish throughout the galaxy, a destiny of immense weight. This mission would not end until all the stars had died out, until humanity could survey the entire galaxy from its racial tower. And he would lead his godlike warriors across every planet, every hell, and every abyss, bringing death and glory to countless lives.

However, this situation only lasted for a short while. The transaction ended, Yog-Sothoth took what He had received, would receive in the future, and was receiving now, Agamotto also received some of the knowledge that Salomon had shared with Him, and Salomon, with His already blurred but incredibly firm will, gradually closed His stigmata.

Then he took a deep breath. He closed his eyes, enduring the torment of knowledge.

The knowledge acquired through the trade is similar to some of the dark technologies used by the Celestials when they modified humans, and the essence of this technology is a kind of alteration of life. Salomon has obtained this knowledge, and he can imitate the methods of the Celestials, even surpassing them. He can achieve this through science or magic.

Salomon's acquired technology came from the Mother of Genes; the beautiful mathematical laws hidden deep within human genes blossomed before him like magnificent roses. To him, humanity held no secrets at the microscopic level; the sacred double helix held ultimate mysteries, and complex base pairs contained classic geometric problems, containing methods for learning human intelligence.

This is an unimaginably vast amount of knowledge.

Information has weight, and this weight, after being transformed into information, was slightly obstructed by Agamotto and then generously stuffed into the mind of the Mystic by the One of All Things, and he withstood this test.

After the sphere of light emitting dreamlike bubbles and the single eye radiating golden light disappeared, the golden light enveloping Salomon also gradually dissipated. Maya Hansen cautiously approached and saw that Salomon's eyes remained tightly closed even after the light faded, his face pale, breathing heavily, and his forehead covered with cold sweat.

Suddenly, thick blood gushed from Salomon's nostrils. He collapsed to his knees, vomiting up congealed black pus and blood. He coughed violently, saliva and bloody vomit constantly gushing from his throat. His body convulsed, tears welling in his eyes from the physiological reaction, yet he laughed out loud. Even with his breath thick with blood and foam, even with his lungs nearly ripped from his chest with each spasm, even with coughs that could shake the entire stone chamber and tear at his body, Salomon continued to laugh maniacally.

He made a killing! This deal was a steal!

After a long while, Salomon finally sat up on the floor, completely disregarding the vomit and blood that would stain his expensive suit. His convulsions gradually subsided, and he slowly stopped laughing, but the blood congealed on his face made him look like a demon crawling out of a sea of blood. Maya Hansen stared into his eyes with fear, but the female scientist didn't see the madness she expected. On the contrary, Salomon's eyes were incredibly clear, and his slightly moist eyes conveyed the astonishing word "beautiful."

"Listen to me, Maya." Salomon's voice returned to normal, as if the chorus of thousands was merely a hallucination. He called the female scientist's name with utmost affection, but Maya Hansen only felt a surge of fear. She sensed that the person she was facing had changed in ways she couldn't quite describe. But gradually, this feeling vanished, and a smile slowly returned to Salomon's face, like a snail climbing a fence in a garden after a summer rain, as if humanity was being rediscovered little by little.

"Are you listening to me, Maya?" Salomon tilted his head and asked the female scientist in an overly cute tone. He seemed completely unaffected; if it weren't for the pool of foul-smelling blood beneath him, his trembling fingers as he raised them, and the black blood clots on his face, the scene would probably have elicited screams and pity from a group of wealthy women.

"What were those?" Maya Hansen was a smart woman; she grasped the key point accurately. She frowned. "You have to tell me the truth." She questioned the sorcerer in the harshest tone she had ever used. "What were those things just now?"

“It’s God, Maya,” Salomon answered crisply. He recounted the details of his transaction, including the price he paid. “It’s nothing,” he shrugged. “Every arcane mage will eventually face this, whether it’s reason or body; something has to be exchanged for magic. I traded for the technology and knowledge necessary for our profession, and what I gave up was simply what I was destined to pay in a million different fates. You don’t need to worry that I made a bad deal.”

"This shows you don't trust me," the female scientist bluntly stated her feelings. "You don't believe I can do it."

"That's not how it is." Salomon shook his head. "I have to do it this way. Humanity's current science cannot achieve my purpose; I must borrow the power of the dark gods. Only those meaningless gods, like natural phenomena, possess the knowledge I need, and I will compile that knowledge and give it to you. You don't need to worry about what consequences that knowledge will have on you, because I have already paid a price you cannot afford."

Maya Hansen was suffocated by the answer. "Was it really necessary to go this far?" She pulled a handkerchief from her pocket and vigorously wiped Salomon's face. Soon, the handkerchief was slightly stained with blood, but she didn't give up, her grip tightening as if trying to clean every last drop of filth from Salomon's face. "How much more do you want to pay, Salomon?"

"All of this," Salomon said calmly.

Is it worth it?

"We all have the answer in our hearts, Maya. That is my mission, my role."

The Sorcerer Supreme, who had witnessed everything, sighed, withdrew his gaze, and continued to cast his eyes upon the boundless outer dimensions. There, Dormammu, the Lord of the Dark Dimension, stirred restlessly; a malignant tumor from the future was awakening in the universe; the Great Dark Shadow, buried deep underground, had found its representative in the world; Camelot, the pure and innocent Dark Sorceress, was slowly approaching; the Lord of Denial in the Nine Hells was denying everything in reality; angels with beautiful wings were pointing their flaming swords at the Prime Material Plane; and even the giant serpent writhing and churning in the Sea of Serpents had left its crown on Earth.

This universe is about to face unprecedented challenges, and Salomon is indispensable.

In comparison, a witch who should have returned to the abyss trying to be resurrected is not a big deal.
