Chapter 480 The Joy of Raising

Chapter 480 The Joys of Raising (First Update)

Stark was going on vacation soon, so his timing was perfect. The little joke didn't stop Salomon from getting the data. After saving it to a portable hard drive, he used Stark's room to change his clothes. Even though the Regalia robes wouldn't cause any problems with movement, Salomon didn't think it was appropriate to wear them around.

Although the term ends in early December, Merton College hosts numerous events during the Christmas season, including a Christmas dinner that resembles Hogwarts. Merton's Christmas dinner is undoubtedly the finest in Oxford; other colleges require tickets to attend. The college professors intend to introduce him as their most outstanding undergraduate to several prominent figures in academia and Whitehall. Highways 4 and 40 were built specifically to facilitate travel between Oxford and Whitehall for Whitehall civil servants, aiming to maintain ties with the college and provide policy advantages and subsidies.

Even Mrs. Thatcher couldn't abolish this custom.

If Salomon stands the professor up, then he can forget about staying in Merton any longer!

He also had to call Darcy and Jane Foster to remind them to move the plants they kept on the institute's balcony into the room. They weren't going home; they would be spending the holidays at the institute with Professor Sauvignon. There hadn't been any snow in London that Christmas, only southwest winds and rain, and he was worried that his potted plants there would freeze to death.

Salomon was also very busy today. He wanted to visit everyone he needed to while it was still light in London. After visiting his tutor and professors, he would invite Bayonetta to Covent Garden and the Winter Wonderland Market to show the witch the Christmas spirit of London.

They could feed reindeer, skate at the largest ice rink in Britain, and ride a giant Ferris wheel. There were also countless delicacies from around the world. This was a carefully planned date, and he hoped Bayonetta would enjoy it. However, he had to endure Joan's cold gaze and Bayonetta's teasing stare while simultaneously inviting both of them, along with the barrel-shaped fat cat, lest Joan and her magical pet be bored at home.

If Phoenix and Pegasus weren't considered unsuitable to appear before ordinary people, both the bird and the horse would have been invited. Salomon promised Phoenix a pot of smoked blue mussels, while Pegasus received a pot of fresh, out-of-season grapes.

Predictably, he would end up as the unfortunate soul following behind the witches, carrying a cat-shaped backpack, watching them happily stroll through the streets. This caused the usually mature Salomon to throw a little tantrum, but Bayonetta loved him in this state. Only when he was with her did Salomon possess a rich humanity, something she could boast about to Athena, because only she made Salomon experience the warmth of family.

Kamar-Taj is not a good place to live; it's too cold and there are too many people.

"Oh! Darling!" Bayonetta draped her long arm over Salomon's shoulder, blinked, and playfully swished her pink tongue across her vibrant lips. Now Salomon was as tall as the witch, and Bayonetta could lean on him if she weren't wearing heels.

Her fair, adorable toes tiptoed onto Salomon's shoes, her arms encircling the sorcerer's neck. When she pressed close to Salomon, it was as if she wanted to pounce on him. Slightly taller, Bayonetta looked down at Salomon. The sorcerer had to remove the potted green plant he was holding and use one hand to support Bayonetta's graceful hips, which were covered by a thin veil.

The witch was dressed scantily as always, her sexy black lingerie barely covering her vital parts. To most people, she was too tall and slender, but to Salomon, she was perfect in every way. She was very satisfied with Salomon's touch; his warm fingers sank deep into her soft skin, his fingertips exploring greedily, seemingly insatiable. She was glad that Salomon still craved her, a desire that seemed forever so intense, never fading. She cupped his face in her hands and kissed her lover with her soft lips, her thick, smooth black hair cascading down his shoulders like a waterfall.

To others, Salomon is a king, an omnipotent god, a mysterious magician, a synonym for ruthless killing, and a symbol of cruelty and violence. But to Bayonetta, Salomon is like a puppy she's watched grow up, someone she knows everything that's happened from the past to the present—that's the joy of raising a child.

Especially after defeating her father, those memories that transcended time and space gave this feeling a different color.

Salomon had to hold his breath, savoring the moment. There was no better time in the world than being with the witch. The scent of roses filled his nostrils, swirling in his veins, and would linger there until the very end, as he uttered the witch's name.

"Ugh... Bayonetta!"

"You're such a cheapskate, you're so adorable!" she whispered. "Don't worry, you can use a little more force. I like rough men, Boya."

"Joan of Arc is still here!"

"Oh? We can go to the bedroom..."

Salomon couldn't understand why the witch had suddenly become so enthusiastic until Bayonetta dragged him back to the bedroom, forcing him to eat dinner and breakfast together. The planned date had to be postponed until today.

"Don't look at me like that, I don't know what happened either!" Salomon rolled his eyes at Joan across the table, and the two of them exchanged disdainful glances at each other at the breakfast table. Bayonetta was so tired that she fell asleep, and when she woke up in the afternoon, the reindeer in Covent Garden should have been led over by then.

No! Reindeer! Salomon covered his face. He had told Bayonetta about it last night, and the witch had enthusiastically put a Santa hat on him and reindeer antlers on herself. He had no idea how such things ended up in the house!

"Mother F*uck! How did you send my agents Christmas presents?! Their locations are top secret! Did you steal S.H.I.E.L.D. data?!" The person on the other end of the phone was not very polite and did not take the holiday atmosphere into consideration at all.

Salomon hung up the phone silently, giving Nick Fury no time to react. This guy must be asking because Salomon had given gifts to all the agents he knew except him, and Salomon didn't want to deal with him in his spare time.

All the agents, including Coulson's team and Agent Victoria Hand, received Christmas cards from Salomon. Sending a gift with a large flock of pigeons was indeed novel; he promised the pigeons a whole loaf of bread to get their help. These greedy, fat pigeons were never satisfied; they always wanted more bread.

"Salomon~"

"Coming, darling." Salomon shrugged and turned off the phone. He quickly followed, passing through the circus floats swaying with hula hoops, and walked to Bayonetta's side. He greeted the chubby cat in the witch's arms, then kissed the witch's lips.

"Mmm! It smells like basil!"
