Chapter 518 Tita's Worries

Chapter 518 Tita's Worries (First Update)

Tatiana and her sisters simultaneously stopped their training as they peered out of the training field window and saw the sorority ladies directing a forklift carrying a cast-iron coffin across the street. The coffin was covered in dense silver runes, and thick iron chains were wrapped around it several times before being welded together.

Every girl was curious about what was inside that heavy cast-iron coffin, but none dared to ask. They would find out in the future, but not now; they hadn't completed their training and weren't yet qualified servants. But one day, they would wield swords, every girl firmly believed.

The girls let out a small cheer when they saw Ms. Catherine, helmet removed, pass by the training ground. Ms. Dita didn't need to show any expression; every girl respected her greatly. Ms. Catherine, on the other hand, was lively, outgoing, and carefree. She not only taught the girls swordsmanship but also often looked after them in private and enjoyed secretly drinking. It was said that once, Ms. Catherine was thrown out of a window by Ms. Dita, by her belt, because she had drunk all of Ms. Dita's wine. It was red wine given to Ms. Dita by their master, and that was the only time the girls saw Ms. Dita lose her temper.

"I see you!" Catherine looked up and said. She spoke in English, the designated language for today's training. Tomorrow it would be Latin, the day after French; the specific language would be determined based on the day's language lesson. This overly intimate behavior emboldened the girls. Vera, for example, had overcome her shyness around familiar people and confidently leaned against the windowsill, asking Catherine about tonight's dinner.

"Perhaps it's lemon roasted chicken."

Catherine recalled the food being prepared in the kitchen before she went on her mission.

The kitchen was staffed by girls who were too old, physically disabled, or unable to participate in training for various reasons. They were also responsible for laundry and sewing, their lives completely separate from the sorority's preparatory group. They didn't want to return to their hometowns or leave; some were even pregnant. So Salomon arranged for them to live near the sorority, providing logistical support—not unpaid, but paid, and they received professional training. When they wanted to leave, they could apply, using their saved wages and skills to find a new place to live. Some would become chefs, others dry cleaners, and perhaps even informants for the sorority in the secular world.

It could be said that Salomon was quite humane in making its policies, and the girls who couldn't participate in training had little to complain about. The one who did complain was Tita, who felt her master was too lenient with the girls, since Salomon had even provided each girl with a cell phone, which Tita controlled their usage time.

[Fun fact: Tita discovered that the most viewed image among girls is a picture of a silly cat.]

The girls' meals were a huge expense, but Salomon didn't have to worry about money these days. They ate ingredients from all over the world and all sorts of exquisite food every day, each meal like a party for a wealthy European or American family. For example, tonight's dinner included beetroot-marinated salmon, roasted pork ribs, and lemon-roasted chicken. Dessert was Black Forest cake and a huge tub of milk tea and iced soda that they could drink as much as they wanted. There was also an ice cream machine that never ran out of steam on one side of the restaurant. The girls didn't need to worry about their figures and indulged themselves; the next day's training would completely burn off the calories they consumed that day.

By the standards of androids, the girls' completion of training was marked by their ability to tame a brown bear with their bare hands, a feat their training made entirely possible. The Slavic girls were not afraid of this training. Aside from the unpleasant-tasting alchemical potions and the physically demanding training, the girls' lives were even happier than before they were trafficked.

In the distance, other homing creatures called out to Catherine, who hurriedly put on her helmet. Dita watched expressionlessly as Catherine waved perfunctorily towards the window, then skipped and hopped towards them. The chainsaw sword and the explosive pistol clanged against her armor. Dita frowned, turned away, and silently resolved to cut Catherine's time serving the monarch in half.

This is the greatest punishment for the homunculus, and Tita hopes it will make Catherine reflect on her unconventional personality.

"Send this to Dr. Maya Hansen's biological lab," Tita ordered. "Be careful; the thing inside should still be alive."

This was a direct order from Salomon. A subsequent document detailed where the cast-iron coffin should be stored, what protective measures should be taken, and the subsequent disposal plan. This plan, called the ABN Disposal Plan (the first three letters of the Latin word for "abnormality"), was commonly used on magical creatures and dark wizards. This standard procedure had only been established recently, and the goal was to use it for the first time. Tita glanced at the iron coffin, which was making constant knocking noises, and continued reading the document—she also needed to retrieve a special incubation tank from Salomon's personal warehouse, move that to cell A-05-F2, and then transfer the contents of the cast-iron coffin there.

There aren't enough people right now, so the sorority has to do these things themselves.

Tita knew what that special culture tank was; it was even larger than the one used to create the androids, and the pale green culture medium was filled with all sorts of cables. She didn't know the purpose of those cables, but with the help of the experts in the biological laboratory, she was confident she could complete the task successfully. "By the way," she said, "give my regards to Dr. Maya Hansen. The monarch is far too busy to visit the biological laboratory."

Salomon discussed the problems that arose during this mission with her. He believed that the characteristics of the shadow creatures were the root cause of the mission's stalemate. He required every combatant to be equipped with weapons specifically designed to deal with magical creatures: power longswords, fragmentation grenades loaded with silver dust, grenade launchers, and recoilless rifles. The first two types of weapons would be deployed on a large scale, while the latter two would be placed in the armory of each assault transport ship, specifically for the Sisterhood to deal with different types of enemies. These weapons were all new models, employing special arcane technology. Although the Immortal City's production capacity was currently insufficient, the Sisterhood would prioritize supplying these equipment.

As for the plasma weapon that exploded on the spot, it will also be used in combat after being inspected and improved.

Princess Shuri vowed that she would solve this problem.

Salomon did not tell her the truth, but quietly transferred some Wakanda scientists from their posts.

"Master, where are you going now?" Tita looked at the sorcerer, who was dressed in sloppy pajamas with a small black cat in his pocket. She wasn't questioning why the monarch had abandoned his work, but rather worried that the place the monarch was going to would be unguarded. Tita knew that some people already considered the monarch a thorn in their side, and she had repeatedly requested Salomon to strengthen the defenses around him, even planning to have armed androids accompany him during Salomon's classes.

This request was so outrageous that Salomon rejected it without hesitation.

He reassured Tita that not many people knew his true identity, and Stephanie taking him out in public wouldn't make him a target. As long as Tita maintained contact with Agent Natasha Romanoff, she would know Hydra's every move, so there was no need to make a fuss. She could take care of this matter while she was at Stark Industries discussing business.
