Chapter 596 The Power Gem (First Update)

Recently, while shopping in the dimensional rift at Vandazar Faw, Salomon heard news about the real world from the owner of his usual half-elf alchemy shop. This news worried some spellcasters on the Material Plane, who wondered if it would affect the stability between the Material Plane and the outer dimensions. The alchemy shop owner, whose master was the [ruler of the twelve moons and twenty-eight stars of a distant land, the triple goddess of Monopul: girl, mother, and old woman], inquired about this matter with a troubled expression.

He subtly sought to elicit the Supreme Master's opinion from Salomon, and cautiously inquired about certain matters. He wanted to know if Kamar-Taj had any plans to convene a council of spellcasters in the Vishanti Temple within the Javanese rainforest of Indonesia in the Material Plane.

The other sect leader, the spellcaster of [the seven suns of the distant realm, the mysterious light of wisdom, Senebas, and His seven sons], and the protector of the dimensional gap market, also sighed, the starlight burning in his eyes involuntarily dimming. As a descendant of the spirits of the distant realm, he naturally radiated the ever-shining sun of Senebas. When Salomon first met him, he knew this guy was incredibly powerful—in the words of another universe, he was not only a spontaneous spellcaster but also a master of incantations, skilled in healing, fire, and positive energy magic; even his platinum robes were adorned with dazzling crystals. Of all magical entities, only a select few possess omniscience, and the Vishanti Trinity is one of them. Agamotto's power is indispensable whenever Salomon casts prophetic spells. While the other Grand Masters' sorcerers have foreseen parts of the future, they cannot piece together the complete picture. Therefore, Salomon, who had just walked into the shop carrying an alchemy toolbox and a super-large dimensional bag, hadn't even finished buying the materials he needed when he was dragged to the market rest area to sample alchemical liqueur made by special spiritual creatures from the twelfth moon of Monopul. For some reason, the half-elf shopkeeper also followed and sat down with the market protector.

The alchemical liqueur did enhance sensory abilities, but its taste was simply not something an earthling could enjoy. It tasted like something made from avocado juice fermented with sugar and caviar for a month; Salomon almost threw up.

These spellcasters with powerful overlords remained relatively calm, while many spellcasters from nameless dimensions had already begun planning their apocalyptic revelries. Almost everyone was pessimistic about Xandar's ability to hold the Power Stone. Some of the more malicious spellcasters argued that Xandar's mortal politicians had been blinded by a long period of peace, deluding themselves into believing they could control such a cosmic treasure. Everyone knew the Mad Titan's thirst for the Infinity Stones, just as Odin had been in the past.

Odin, however, still possessed reason, while the mad titan Thanos lacked it. He was a cold-blooded bastard, convinced he was right, and Xandar could not withstand Thanos's power.

Some spellcasters discussed whether to simply steal the Power Stone from Xandar and hide it somewhere no one could find it. This place, without a doubt, was Earth or Asgard; only these two places on the Prime Material Plane could protect the Infinity Stones. However, Salomon rejected this request without hesitation, as did the sorcerers who later joined Asgard. Kamar-Taj and Asgard would not allow two Infinity Stones to be hidden in one place.

As singularities left behind in the astral plane after the Big Bang, the Infinity Stones are beings of higher dimensions, possessing unimaginable power. To this day, no mortal has been able to comprehend the true mysteries of the Infinity Stones. However, some scattered phenomena may suggest that the Infinity Stones possess their own thoughts.

The most recent and most direct example is Professor Scharvig, Salomon's physics tutor's tutor, a streaking man at Stonehenge in England, and who was unilaterally recognized as a great sage by the folk Druid order for his crazy behavior.

After the Battle of New York, Salomon performed enchantment spell checks on Hawkeye and Professor Sulley.

Both Professor Sullivan had contact with the Mind Stone and the Space Stone. Professor Sullivan later achieved remarkable academic success in fields such as astrophysics and thermonuclear physics. His prolonged exposure to the Space Stone corrupted him, while the Mind Stone further developed his intelligence, leading to mental instability. As for Hawkeye, his subsequent life was completely unaffected; the most troublesome issue was S.H.I.E.L.D.'s post-war investigation process. Salomon unilaterally believes this is due to his low starting point in intelligence, resulting in Hawkeye's seemingly unaffected life—perhaps because the Mind Stone didn't value Hawkeye's intellect, but the truth remains unknown.
