Marvel Magic Case Files

Chapter 701 The Lower Limit of the Online World

Chapter 701 The Lower Limit of the Online World (First Update)

Agent Hill found it hard to imagine Salomon making breakfast in an apron; she had never tasted the magician's cooking. Wanda, back in the castle, eagerly awaited breakfast each day, prepared by her teacher, but she had never witnessed its preparation. This was a common sight for the two witches, only less so recently. During their initial period of cohabitation, Salomon hadn't yet created his own Homunculus, the homunculus, so many household chores required his and the witch's personal attention, including preparing delicious food.

Even when he was extremely busy, he would never forget those little details related to witches—Bayonetta liked sunny-side up fried eggs, while Joan of Arc preferred semi-solid French scrambled eggs; Bayonetta knew how to use electrical appliances, while Joan of Arc knew nothing about them, and once even tried to light a fire in the decorative fireplace; Bayonetta liked to do yoga in the morning, while Joan of Arc preferred to stay in bed and sleep in, constantly complaining that she didn't want to go to school to teach those little devils, often requiring Bayonetta to drag her out of bed.

Salomon had not yet taken off his apron.

After placing salads and breakfast in front of the two witches and one homunculus, he took his teacup and sat down at his seat. His laptop and plate each occupied one side, as if business was as delicious as scrambled eggs. Bayonetta didn't immediately begin eating, but instead kept her head down, writing something in her laptop. She had to prepare the Christmas gift list and recipient list; it was her responsibility as the hostess. Some gifts needed to be selected and purchased in advance, some would be delivered, and some would require attending several presentations before purchase—the gifts for each person were different, corresponding to their wealth and status, striving to avoid making the recipient feel awkward when returning a gift. This was an extremely complex task, usually completed jointly by her and her butler, Dinah.

The morning news, WHIW News Frontline, was still playing on TV. Dina hadn't specifically chosen the program; she just wanted more sound in the morning. "Essex Police in England have received a report of a large number of skeletons found in the River Stow. Experts from the British Society for Paranormal Research believe the skeletons come from the infamous Polii-Ledori haunted house. As is well known, the Polii-Ledori haunted house was originally a 13th-century monastery..."

"Christina (the presenter) always exaggerates." Salomon slowly sipped his hot tea. The steam from the teacup blurred his vision, but it didn't bother him much; he could still see the text on the screen. He flipped through Wanda's mission report, the contents of which were completely different from what was in the news, proving that the free media was spouting nonsense again.

"Only five skeletons remained, three of which were infants. Wanda also took the adult skeleton that had been corrupted by magic. There are no more vengeful spirits in Poliledori." The three days of rest seemed to have softened his gaze again, further convincing the witch that the extended leave was beneficial to his mental state. Salomon wasn't worried about Wanda's mental state after the mission, as the reports he received came from three different parties: the transport ship pilot, Wanda Maximov, and Natasha Romanoff. To be precise, the last report was stolen; the Avengers weren't generous enough to share intelligence with Salomon.

"It's just that someone accidentally killed someone while practicing magic. You know, 13th-century monasteries weren't that pure, plus there were many vengeful spirits of dead babies... so the truth is definitely not as horrifying as reported in the news, unless the nuns in that monastery were overly enthusiastic and fond of bathing."

"It's breakfast time, don't talk about this kind of thing, you pig!"

Joan of Arc used her fork to pick a cherry tomato from the salad and toss it onto Salomon's head. The Cheshire Cat, who had been gazing up at the table, instinctively jumped up and bit the little fruit without hesitation. It then yelped and frantically shook its head, trying to shake the cherry tomato off its teeth. Diana had to stand up to help it, preventing the silly cat from spitting its saliva all over the freshly mopped floor.

"Next up is an interview with Darren Krause, President and CEO of Pym Technologies. We are fortunate to have this business genius and scientist in the tech world, who turned Pym Technologies from years of losses into profitability. We all know that Dr. Hank Pym is a legend in the tech field, but in terms of running a company, this scientist, who has intricate connections with S.H.I.E.L.D. and the government, has lost out to his student. I believe that all viewers will be interested in Darren Krause's life story and his relationship with Hank Pym..."

"He's my most respected mentor," Darren Krause said confidently on television, fully expressing his respect for his mentor. Salomon smiled dismissively. Since Darren Krause took over the company, Pym Technologies hadn't released a single new product. Even though Hank Pym considered Pym Technologies a disgrace, Salomon knew the inside story. He knew Hank Pym watched television in the morning and would definitely order a new television set that afternoon.

He's an irritable old man, but a genius.

If he had been born a few decades earlier, he would certainly have been eligible to attend the Solvay Conference, and might even have appeared in that famous photograph. Salomon, while not particularly fond of Dr. Pym's temperament, greatly admired his intellect. Although the structure of the Pym particle was formed through a series of coincidences, he transformed these complex coincidences into repeatable experiments. This research consumed a great deal of his energy, ultimately leading to Ant-Man during World War II.

WHIW News Frontline had previously conducted an interview regarding the Scott Lang case. The former Vesta Corporation employee, dissatisfied with the company's involvement in illegal activities, stole four million dollars from the company and distributed it to those he considered victims. This split public opinion, leading to heated online debates. Salomon had also heard about this, but not through hearsay or professional reports. To Immortal City or S.H.I.E.L.D., Scott Lang was a minor figure, and Vesta Corporation, as part of the New Money, didn't have the same influence as established families. He discovered that anonymous users on his favorite spam forum, who were criticizing politically correct politicians and greedy Jewish capitalists, had mentioned this incident, and most expressed respect for Scott Lang.

"We should elect Scott Lang as president so he'll stuff money into our pockets! Ellis, step down!"

So, should Scott Lang join the Democratic Party?

"Then he'll become a politician who supports 'Black transgender gay men,' and put that fat, 'Black transgender gay man' dead woman on a giant GG billboard in the square to replace the sexy lingerie model."

"vomit!"

"On the bright side, he might launch a war against Israel."

"Then he'll be killed by Jewish capitalists, you idiot!"

"We need to take to the streets to protect him! Riot, friends! I'm a nigger, and I like Scott Lang because I fucking need money to buy a Kardashian-themed XINGAI doll!"

"Looks like your taste really suits your environment! (Teasing Kanye O'Malley West and Kim Kardashian's buttock augmentations)"

"Don't you like women with big butts, you idiot? Hurry up and sit on my face, I don't care if it's silicone or not!"

"I declare this a victory for the /ecchi version/."

Through the vulgar language in the lowest-brow online forums, Salomon learned of Scott Lang's release from prison. He was certain that the time for Hank Pym to "illuminate" Scott Lang was not far off, and that Dr. Pym, after his brainstorming session with Salomon, would certainly be able to solve the various problems in the quantum realm much faster.

I was on duty all day, and barely managed to finish the first chapter in the hospital with terrible internet. So there might only be one update today; the second chapter is a security feature. Please check back when the second chapter is released, as I don't know when I'll finish it.
