Chapter 738 Trouble
Chapter 738 Troublesome Matters (Second Update)
His passion for the experiences of ordinary people is no secret to many who truly know him.
He revels in enjoying everything, yet simultaneously demands immense self-discipline when facing responsibility—a veritable spiral of contradictions, often oscillating between utter relaxation and ruthless indifference. However, for those who truly understand him, it's merely a matter of whether or not he's activated his Stigmata; there's nothing surprising about it. Most people prefer his mortal self, but even without his Stigmata activated, his personality is inherently contradictory—it's quite difficult to comprehend that humor and acerbity, naivety and empathy coexist within one person; no one knows when he might utter a single, piercing remark. His incredibly rich linguistic repertoire allows him to unleash terrifying psychological violence on others, starting from the smallest details and using their first language. Understanding those languages requires enduring the arduous journey through complex written texts and incomprehensible local customs.
He is seen differently by many, but if you haven't read this book, you might see him as a capricious tyrant, a self-torturing ascetic, a monarch who devoted himself to the human race, a cold-blooded and unjust king, and so on. Just as there are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people's eyes—who is Hamlet, you ask? He is a playwright named Shakespeare, living in the first millennium. The royal library contains Shakespeare's manuscripts, placed alongside plastic robot toys. You young people really should read more books instead of wandering around those boring little planets, trying to kill some aliens locked in zoos.
Regardless, he's actually quite likable even without his stigmata activated.
I mean, when it's not work-related. That's hard to imagine, isn't it?
I know this book has been banned. You ask why I wasn't arrested by the Imperial Guard, the symbol of honor? How do I know so much? It's because I stood beside him, enduring his punches and curses. Is prison more terrifying than his fists? I don't think so. At least here I could fight back without punishment, which is why I hold this prestigious position. I know some will misunderstand. No, even the highest position isn't immune to prison. I was beaten simply because he thought the book contained some "false" information, like his womanizing ways.
There's no denying he's a rather charming guy. Tall, strong, and with a handsome face.
You asked me his name? Can't you even look up, you idiot!

[Breaking News: Our reporter reports that, according to investigation, the Daily Mail journalist has been discovered to be an alien spy and has been arrested by the Ministry of Justice. Loyal citizens of the Empire, beware of extraterrestrials and their lackeys! Report any suspicious activity to the Ministry of Justice immediately! (Note: The last sentence, "Exploding arrows are good for mental health," appears to be an unrelated comment and has been omitted from the translation.)
"You promised me that there would be a child with the surname Malik in the future."
"Yes, but not now, and not in this way."
Stephanie is a staggering 40 centimeters shorter than Salomon, but that doesn't stop him from admiring the swimsuit marks she painstakingly created, risking skin cancer. According to Stephanie herself, she had to apply tons of sunscreen while doing this arduous work, and someone had to regularly pour water on her to prevent her from dying of overheating.
"It's like watering flowers," Salomon commented. He could picture rows of women in swimsuits lying on the beach, enduring the scorching sun, while someone patrolled around spraying them with watering cans. Maybe someone would be hoping something would grow on the sand, but in reality, only sunglasses and forgotten flip-flops would be dug up.
"That's a private beach; the Malik family has a seaside estate there. I also have a maid, a female college student, who was sent as a hostage by a lower-ranking family. But it's all worth it, isn't it?" She boldly displayed her body to the sorcerer, while reminding him of the marks time had left on certain areas. This was the only thing she agreed with her father about: she was nearing the limit of her fertility and it was time to consider the Malik family's future.
"We can cure cancer."
"You know that's not what I meant!" She had witnessed firsthand the sorcerer's ability to feign ignorance. "Are you thinking of using genetic engineering?"
"Perhaps, but not entirely," Salomon shrugged. "I don't even know if I'll be able to have children with mortal women!"
Stephanie, in a fit of rage, donned a magnificent, deep red robe belonging to Salomon, adorned with gold, and discarded her original clothes. She was left in only a thin, nightgown-like garment, devoid of even ties. Before Salomon could stop her (though he didn't actually stop her; he was merely pretending), the head of the Interior Department stormed back to his room, his high heels gleaming with a chaotic, shimmering gold light.
The homunculus in charge of security coughed twice, then swallowed his opinion under Salomon's gaze, his expression exaggerated like a third-rate actor in a second-rate theater. He wasn't about to let himself be surrounded by a bunch of noisy, silly girls. He merely glanced at the homunculus in charge of security, making a gesture to keep his mouth shut. As for what the girl was thinking, or whether she agreed to keep it a secret, Salomon didn't have time to find out, nor did he believe the homunculus would disobey his orders. He descended through the portal straight into the wine cellar of his own estate, knocking over a pile of toys that the Cheshire Cat had hidden there, disturbing Pegasus who was trying to crack open a cork with his teeth, and filling the dimly lit wine cellar with chattering toy balls running around, a large mechanical fish stuffed with cotton and staring with dead fish eyes, and feathers flying everywhere.
"Master!" Dinah appeared in the wine cellar like a ghost. She sidestepped Pegasus, who was rushing out of the cellar in a panic, skillfully kicked away the mechanical fish that was hopping towards her, and appeared precisely in front of Salomon, even taking his coat from him. Clearly, the moment he opened the portal, the telepathic network between the androids had informed Dinah of Salomon's landing location.
"Let me enjoy a day of playing games," he said. "Remember to bring the Alchemy Golem back later; I want to see what classes I had today."
"You had the alchemical golem take your place in class again," Dinah said dryly. "Tony Stark called today; he seems to need to speak with you."
"So you're letting him keep contacting me? Have you ever seen me call someone back?"
"Next is a message from the witch to you. 'My dear, can you do me a favor?' The details are as follows: Prepare two dresses. Your foster mother, Athena, seems to be planning a cocktail party, so both witches need a tasteful dress."
