“We got visitation permission from Southridge Prison,” Wanda said, waving the data terminal in her hand at Daisy Jensen. In Southridge Prison’s internal system, the three of them were already on the visitor list. Elias Morrow was Robbie and Gabe Reyes’ uncle, and he had also worked at the energy lab before being imprisoned for attempted murder. “Let’s go,” she said. “We should have made the appointment yesterday, but we cut in line.”

"How did you do that?" Daisy Jensen asked curiously. "Do you have hackers who dare to break the law?"

"Not a hacker, but..."

“No need for an appointment.” Having taken a shower and changed into new clothes, Robbie Reyes sat down at the table. On it lay a lunch Gabe had left for him—two slices of microwave pizza and a glass of juice—which Robbie Reyes picked up without hesitation and began to devour. As he ate, he said, “Southridge Prison houses hardened criminals. Do you think anyone visits hardened criminals? There are fewer than fifty visitors a year. I never need an appointment to visit my uncle. What, you ladies have never been to prison?”

"Where's Gabe?" Daisy Jensen looked around and found that Gabe Reyes, who was sitting in a wheelchair, was nowhere to be seen.

Robbie Reyes glanced at the clock. "He still needs to go to school. Maximov told me that Gabe stayed home while I was in the hospital, and now he needs to go back to school to catch up. Listen, I'm willing to help because this involves me, but Gabe's studies absolutely cannot fall behind. His only way out is through education. Don't drag him into this. Do you really think a child in a wheelchair can do any manual labor? He might become a lawyer, or a doctor, but he absolutely cannot be an unemployed person in this community."

"He's still in a wheelchair, doesn't he need help?"

"He takes the subway by himself, and he'll call me if he needs anything."

"Okay, okay, I'll track Gabe Reyes's route and retrieve the surveillance footage along the way." Wanda waved her hand. "If something happens to him, we'll go help him, okay? We need to leave quickly. I don't think even the most lenient Southridge Prison would allow two appointments in one day."

"Okay, I have one last question before we leave," Daisy Jensen said. "Wanda, did that big guy say what he was going to do before he left?"

"I have no right to interfere with the actions of the Imperial Guard; only my teacher can command them."

"Your teacher? A magic teacher? There are magic schools in this world?" Robbie Reyes took a sip of his juice. "So you really are a witch? I thought you were just bragging when you said you could solve my problems, but now it seems like it really is. I know it's absurd, but I can already turn into a burning skeleton, is there anything in this world that I can't believe?"

Daisy Jensen wrinkled her nose. "I know her teacher, ███. He's a nasty fellow. Arrogant, domineering..."

"What did you just say?" Robbie Reyes asked.

"I said, ███ is a disgusting guy."

Robbie Reyes rubbed his ears to make sure he wasn't deaf. When Daisy Jensen uttered that name, his brain completely failed to process the sounds; instead, a horrifying image flashed before his eyes—flames burning in the sockets of a shriveled skull, its head surrounded by a crown and halo of flames—and before he could even see it clearly, the image vanished from his mind without a trace, leaving his brain as clean as a freshly washed white ceramic tile wall.

Wanda Maximov observed their exchange with a detached eye. Although she didn't know what was going on in Robbie Reyes's mind, she understood immediately from his reaction. Daisy Jensen had met her teacher, Salomon, and understood part of the meaning behind the name, so when she spoke it, she would point to a small section of Salomon's real name. Robbie Reyes, being an ordinary person who had never heard of the name before, couldn't comprehend it, which was why he couldn't understand what Daisy Jensen was saying. "I can indeed help you, and if I can't, my teacher can," Wanda Maximov said. "I'll take you to see him. We can talk about these things on the way; let's get going!"

"Plug the F1 EEG cable and ISO-GND into the mini-MEG machine, start the CBR sequence, quick." Dr. Radcliffe fiddled with the equipment in his hands. After speaking, he waited a while, but no one responded. He frowned and looked behind him, "Ida!"

"I'm looking up these abbreviations in the encyclopedia," the assistant said calmly. She was dressed in a gray business suit and moved unhurriedly. This annoyed Dr. Radcliffe.

"Alright! The red and green wires. Plug these two wires into the back of the black box and press all the little buttons." Dr. Radcliffe calmed himself down immediately after speaking, then apologized to his assistant. "Sorry, I was a little hasty. I was just caught off guard." He lowered his eyes and continued fiddling with the equipment in his hands. "They said Agent May is very ill, and her condition is worrying."

"Please define 'impatient'," the beautiful female assistant asked in a pleasant voice.

"It's not worth defining. You shouldn't use that word, and neither should I."

"It's done," the female assistant said, maintaining her usual expression.

"What a pity, I need to put you to sleep now."

"I understand," Ida said.

Dr. Radcliffe put down his work and followed his assistant into the office.

“You’ve helped me a lot, and I really didn’t want to do this, but you’re not ready for what’s coming.” Perhaps feeling guilty for doing this to his assistant, Dr. Radcliffe explained as he pressed a remote control on his desk. A bookshelf against the wall opened, revealing a modified small space behind it. Ada went inside and turned to face Dr. Radcliffe. “But S.H.I.E.L.D. is coming. I’ll do my best to help, but they won’t allow this to happen,” he said. “Hopefully, it’ll be helpful, and maybe then we won’t have to hide you anymore.”

"They're here," Ada said calmly. Then the doorbell rang at Dr. Radcliffe's house.

Dr. Radcliffe smiled and nodded, then pressed the remote control in his hand. The once beautiful female assistant lowered her eyes and stood there motionless. The lights in the small room dimmed, and green light flickered through the skin above her chest, which wasn't covered by her gray business suit. Dr. Radcliffe pressed the button again, and the disguised bookshelf slowly closed, concealing the female assistant.

"Nobody can tolerate an independently operating artificial intelligence right now, damn Ultron," Dr. Radcliffe thought sadly. "Foolish people can't see the future; they fear the harm artificial intelligence can bring, but they can't see the benefits."
