Chapter 158 This is the Bank [Second Update, Requesting Monthly Tickets]

Kiryu Yaya returned to the financing review department, his gaze lingering on the system description for a moment.

It's still an active skill.

interesting.

He had just taken the draft of the loan rejection report out of the drawer when he heard the sound of high heels clicking on the floor behind him.

Kiryu Yaya's eyebrows twitched slightly.

He recognized the voice.

Chihaya Yuri.

"Kiryu-kun."

The voice came from above, and Kiryu Yaya turned his head.

Chihaya Yuri stood beside his workstation, holding a teacup in one hand and a light blue folder in the other.

She wore a light gray suit jacket today, with a white shirt underneath.

A dark blue silk scarf was tied around her neck, and her hair was all tied back, revealing a section of her fair and well-defined neck.

"Chihaya, the section chief."

Kiryu Yaya bowed slightly, preparing to stand up, but she stopped him by raising her hand.

"Speak while seated."

She sat down on the empty chair next to her and placed her teacup on the table.

"How's the loan rejection report for Heguang Electronics coming along?"

"The framework is complete, and it can be delivered before 3 PM."

Chihaya Yuri nodded, her gaze falling on the folder, and she picked it up to take a look.

The office was silent for a few seconds.

Kiryu Yaya looked at her, and a slight feeling suddenly stirred in his heart.

He remembered his newly acquired skill, "Mind Perception".

If we don't try it now, when will we?

Kiryu Yaya lowered his eyes, a thought flashing through his mind.

The skill "Mind Perception" has been activated.

For a moment, the world was silent.

Immediately afterwards, lines of text appeared in his field of vision—

(Regarding the incident at the mid-level management meeting, although he said it was nothing, he couldn't possibly be indifferent to it.)

Was my visit today too deliberate? Will he think I'm spying on him?

<————Never mind, we're already here.>

Kiryu Yaya's fingers paused slightly.

He looked up and glanced at Chihaya Yuri.

She was looking down at the folder, her expression no different from usual, her lips slightly pursed and her brows gently furrowed.

Those words continue to surface—

The report was written quickly; he must have put in a lot of effort to get the case with Optoelectronics resolved so quickly.

Why did Minister Ogaki suddenly call a halt? Just two days ago, the mid-level management meeting was targeting him, but today the tide has completely turned.

There must be something going on here.

<Never mind, if he won't tell me, I won't ask.>

As long as he's alright.

A strange feeling welled up in Kiryu Yaya's heart.

Chihaya Yuri may never say anything nice, but her concern is always genuine.

"Chihaya, the section chief."

He spoke, his voice softer than usual.

Chihaya Yuri looked up at him.

"After I finish writing the loan rejection report, I would like to ask you to take a look at it first. Some parts may not be rigorous enough and need to be reviewed by the department head."

Chihaya Yuri nodded: "Okay. Show it to me when you're done writing."

"Yes."

Chihaya Yuri nodded, picked up her teacup, took a sip, then stood up and picked up the light blue folder.

She turned and took two steps, then suddenly stopped without looking back.

"Kiryu-kun."

"Just listen to those rumors circulating in the bank today, don't take them to heart."

She paused.

"Just do what you're supposed to do, and don't let those things affect you."

Kiryu Yaya watched her retreating figure and smiled softly.

"clear."

Chihaya Yuri didn't say anything more, and walked back to her seat with her teacup.

Kiryu Yaya lowered his head and continued writing the loan rejection report.

The afternoon slipped by between the pen tip and the paper.

When he finished writing the first draft of the loan rejection report, the clock on the wall had just pointed to 2:40.

He read it from beginning to end, corrected the typos and inappropriate wording, then stood up and walked to Chihaya Yuri's workstation.

"Chihaya, the first draft is finished."

Chihaya Yuri put down her pen and picked up the report, reading it page by page.

Her brows furrowed slightly, her gaze shifting between the lines, occasionally circling a word or two in red pen and writing brief annotations beside it.

The whole process lasted about ten minutes.

Then she closed the report and looked up at him.

"Okay. Submit it to the section chief as soon as you're done."

"Thank you, Department Head."

Kiryu Yaya took the report, returned to his workstation, revised it line by line according to Chihaya Yuri's annotations, read it through again to make sure nothing was missing, bound it, and headed to the section chief's office.

He knocked on the door.

"Come in."

Yamada Masakazu was sitting behind the table looking through a document when he saw it was Kiryu Yaya. He closed the document and put it aside.

"Is the report finished?"

"Yes, please review it, Section Chief."

Kiryu Yaya handed over the report with both hands.

Masakazu Yamada took it, turned to the first page, and started reading from the beginning.

About fifteen minutes later, he closed the report, leaned back in his chair, and looked at Kiryu Yaya.

"Well written."

He took a pen from the pen holder, wrote "Rejection Agreed" in the "Review Section Chief's Comments" column on the last page of the report, and then signed his name and the date.

"Let's hand it over to the general affairs department to follow the procedures."

"clear."

Kiryu Yaya took the report, turned around, and walked out of the section chief's office.

When he delivered the report to the general affairs department, Director Nakajima was standing next to the photocopier.

Upon seeing Kiryu Yaya enter, a smile immediately appeared on his face, and he took two steps from beside the photocopier to greet him.

"Kiryu-kun, you're here?"

His tone was much warmer than usual.

Kiryu Yaya paused for a moment, then nodded: "Yes. The section chief has already signed the loan rejection report from Wako Electronics Industries."

"You've worked hard."

Nakajima took the report but didn't rush to look at it. Instead, he patted Kiryu Yaya's upper arm and said, "You've been pretty busy these past few days, haven't you? I've noticed you've been sitting at your desk the whole time without moving."

"It's alright, I'm used to it."

"Young people are reliable."

Nakajima smiled as he turned to the last page, glanced at Yamada Masakazu's signature, then closed the report. Instead of casually putting it into the to-do folder, he deliberately held it in his hand.

He smiled again and patted the folder: "I'll personally deliver this report to the process department, Kiryu-kun, don't worry. Do a good job, I have faith in you."

"Thank you for your hard work, Director Nakajima."

Kiryu Yaya bowed slightly, turned and left the General Affairs Department.

He could feel Nakajima's gaze following his back until he walked out of the office.

Kiryu Yaya didn't turn around, but the corner of his mouth twitched slightly.

This is a bank.

The strong rule; those with connections and resources are greeted with smiles wherever they go.

It remains to be seen how long their smiles will last until the rumors are debunked.

Just as Kiryu Yaya walked into the financing review department, Nakamura Yuka waved to him: "Kiryu-kun, there's a call for you at the switchboard."
