HP: The Moon Over the Magic Academy

Chapter 131 The Portrait of the Fat Lady

Hermione couldn't stand Harry's utterly dejected look, so she said, "Can't you be a little more flexible?"

Harry retorted irritably, "Make an exception? You make it sound so easy. Of my aunt's family, is there anyone who truly wants the best for me? If they knew this, they'd be lucky if they didn't try to sabotage it."

"If you can't coax them, try tricking them."

Harry's eyes lit up, and he said resolutely, "Yes, I think I will go."

Crookshanks jumped onto Hermione's lap, glaring fiercely at Ron who had just walked in.

"Hey Hermione, can you please get your cat away? He's scaring my Scabbers!"

A grayish-brown mouse jumped off Ron and turned to run away.

Crookshan stared intently at the rat, then pounced with all four paws and pinned it down.

"Get out of here, you stupid animal!!" Ron raised his foot to kick Crookshan.

But Hermione's spell froze him in place, preventing him from moving.

Crookshan was spitting as he spoke, and he looked unusually fierce.

"Ron! You dare touch my Crook Mountain!" Hermione cried out sharply.

A number of people gradually entered the Gryffindor common room, all watching Crookshanks capture Scabbers.

"Catch that dead cat!"

Fortunately, George arrived in time and skillfully grabbed Crook Mountain, which was flying in mid-air.

"Are you playing cat and mouse?"

Ron finally broke free from Hermione's spell, ran over and hugged Scabbers tightly, yelling at Hermione, "That cat of yours!! Look! It almost broke Scabbers' bones!"

Hermione took Crookshanks from George, examined them carefully, and found nothing wrong.

"Ron, why are you making such a fuss? Isn't it normal for cats to catch mice? It's just the nature of Crookshanks."

"Is this the time to joke about animals? Hermione, you've gone too far!"

Ron angrily stuffed Scabbers back into his pocket, flicked his sleeve, and a wand appeared in his hand, which he then pointed at Hermione.

Hermione wasn't about to indulge Ron, and said impatiently, "You should have expected this when you brought a mouse to Hogwarts as a pet!"

"What do you mean? You bring a cat but others can't bring mice?"

"I didn't say that. There's nothing I can do if that's what you think."

Ron felt like he'd punched a pillow, and angrily got up and left the lounge, returning to the boys' dormitory.

Harry stared blankly at Ron's retreating figure, then looked down and sent a message to Hermione's bracelet.

Once you have the power, you must prohibit wizards from bringing rats into public places!

Hermione: ? ? What's wrong with you? I didn't see you being this aggressive just now.

Harry: I feel disgusted by rats. They remind me of how I felt when these creatures crawled on me back in that little town.

Hermione really wanted to punch Harry to death. She was charging into battle just now, while this damn thing was busy staring at that rat viciously, and now it's starting to squeal.

……

All students were urgently summoned to the lobby.

Dumbledore also made a rare appearance, standing on the teachers' table and solemnly telling everyone that they would be sleeping in the hall tonight.

Those who are well-informed have already quietly used communicators to answer everyone's questions.

The capable necklace: The portrait of the fat lady was torn.

Socially anxious fish: No? What does this have to do with us sleeping in the living room?

The capable necklace: It is said that Blake caught it and made us sleep in the hall to ensure our safety.

That's terrible.
