Chapter 95 A Miraculous Cure (Please continue reading)

"you--!"

Gao Yong looked at Gao Yuanyuan in disbelief, then rushed to the bedside and grabbed the transparent glass bottle.

Upon discovering that one pill was missing, he flew into a rage: "How could you let her take this?"

Gao Yuanyuan's lips moved slightly, her fingers gripping the hem of her clothes, her knuckles turning white.

"I'm asking you a question!"

Gao Yong's voice rose half an octave, and the veins on his forehead bulged.

This was the first time Gao Yuanyuan had ever heard her brother yell at her, and she was momentarily at a loss for what to do.

"Okay, I wanted it myself."

Yu Dandan leaned against the pillows, looking at her son with displeasure: "You're such a big boy now, why are you still so loud and boisterous?"

Gao Yong felt a lump in his throat, thinking that any normal person would react the same way if they saw their seriously ill mother taking a substandard product!

"You're being ridiculous!"

He couldn't help but say, "How can you take this medicine like this? At least let me have it tested."

It's not that I suspect Lin An of poisoning, but it's always better to be cautious.

"Do you think lab equipment is free? You just order tests whenever you want?"

Yu Dandan couldn't help but scold, "I told you to read more other books instead of just typing away on the computer all day. Don't you know that the national spectral database is scarce these days, and many chemical components simply can't be detected?"

Gao Yong was rendered speechless by the rebuttal.

This is indeed a blind spot in his knowledge.

Beside her, Gao Yuanyuan stared blankly at her mother, her eyes filled with disbelief: "Mom, you...you just spoke."

Gao Yong was speechless for a moment, thinking that his mother was coughing, not losing her speech.

His speech isn't quite normal.

He blinked.

Then he suddenly turned his head, stared intently at Yu Dandan, and exclaimed, "Mom! You spoke!"

Yu Dandan was leaning against the pillow, her face still pale and her lips still bloodless, but her eyes were much brighter.

Gao Yong's breathing suddenly quickened, and his voice trembled: "Mom, you didn't seem to be coughing just now?"

This would have been absolutely impossible before.

Yu Dandan blinked, stunned herself.

She instinctively took a deep breath.

No cough.

There was no feeling of something blocking my throat, or struggling to breathe with every breath.

The breath went in so smoothly, flowing from my nasal cavity all the way to my chest, as if something had cleansed me from head to toe.

Not only that, Yu Dandan could clearly feel that her body was much lighter. Her originally heavy chest felt as if a huge stone had been lifted, and each breath became exceptionally easy.

"Mom, how are you feeling? Is there anything that's bothering you?"

Gao Yong's voice was tense, and his gaze swept back and forth across Yu Dandan's face.

Yu Dandan ignored her son's question and weakly waved her hand: "Yuanyuan, ask Auntie to get me something to eat. I... I'm a little hungry."

Gao Yong stared at his mother with his mouth agape, his face filled with disbelief.

Due to her weak constitution and difficulty breathing, his mother was in poor condition and had little appetite.

Gao Yuanyuan ignored all of that, only noticing that her mother was indeed feeling much better. She rushed out of the room, her voice brimming with barely suppressed excitement, "Aunt Wang! Could you please cook me a bowl of noodles?"

Soon, the sound of pots and pans clattering filled the kitchen.

Not long after, a steaming bowl of egg noodles was placed in front of Yu Dandan.

The noodle soup was clear, with an egg lying in the center, and steam rising gently, carrying with it a fragrant aroma.

Just as Gao Yuanyuan was about to remind her to "be careful, it's hot," Yu Dandan had already picked up her chopsticks, scooped up a large mouthful of noodles, and put it in her mouth.

She ate quickly and hurriedly, her cheeks bulging as if she hadn't eaten for days and nights.

Not only were the Gao siblings stunned, but even Aunt Wang was dumbfounded.

She had worked for the Gao family for seven or eight years and had never seen the lady of the house eat like this.

The bowl of noodles was quickly emptied.

Yu Dandan put down her chopsticks with satisfaction, leaned back on her pillow, and let out a soft burp.

Aunt Wang took the empty bowl and couldn't help but ask, "Would you like another bowl?"

Yu Dandan shook her head: "No need, one bowl is enough."

Aunt Wang breathed a sigh of relief.

Before she could turn around, Yu Dandan said again, "But you can make a little more breakfast tomorrow, um, just twice as much as usual."

"6

..OK."

Aunt Wang, bewildered, left the room with the empty bowl in her hand, her steps unsteady.

Gao Yong stared intently at his mother, noticing her rosy complexion and steady breathing, and finally couldn't help but ask, "Really? She's already better? This doesn't make sense!"

He subconsciously reached for the medicine bottle on the bedside table, wanting to see what kind of miracle drug it was.

Before her hand could even touch the bottle, Yu Dandan had already snatched it away and stuffed it under her pillow.

"go out."

She glared at her son, her voice noticeably stronger than before, and said, "I need to change my clothes."

Gao Yong wondered if there was any necessary connection between changing clothes and snatching the medicine bottle.

But this time he was smarter; he snorted, turned around, and walked towards the door.

As he reached the door, he looked back one last time.

Yu Dandan leaned against the headboard, waved her hand at him, and looked somewhat disgusted.

Gao Yong's lips twitched, and he opened the door and went out.

Gao Yuanyuan wanted to leave as well, but her mother grabbed her arm.

"Don't rush."

Yu Dandan patted the edge of the bed, "Keep chatting with me for a while."

Gao Yuanyuan's lips moved, thinking, "Can't we talk later?"

Yu Dandan observed her daughter's reaction and felt quite uneasy: "What, you don't want to?"

"Yes..." Gao Yuanyuan answered in her heart, but put on a polite smile: "No, what do you want to talk about?"

"Let's talk about how you met Lin An."

Yu Dandan pulled the pillow up a bit, shifting to a more comfortable position: "Start from the beginning, the more detailed the better."

Gao Yuanyuan thought about it for a moment and didn't refuse.

She sat down on the edge of the bed and began to recount her interview on that birthday.

When talking about that production crew with no resources, Lin Cong, Shen Teng and Qiao Zhenyu, and that young man who was the youngest but kept busy every day.

Yu Dandan listened quietly, only occasionally letting out a soft "hmm".

When she heard that Lin An had acquired a batch of high-end furniture from a friend and sold it for over 600,000 yuan, her eyebrows twitched slightly, and she then seemed to be deep in thought.

Gao Yuanyuan noticed the change in her mother's expression and felt inexplicably nervous: "Is something wrong?"

"no."

Yu Dandan said meaningfully, "I just think your friend is quite capable."

Gao Yuanyuan's lips curled up slightly, and she did not deny it: "He is indeed very capable."

Yu Dandan glanced at her daughter and didn't ask any further questions.

She waved her hand, a hint of weariness on her face: "Alright, go do your thing."

Gao Yuanyuan stood up, and looked back once more as she walked to the door.

Yu Dandan had closed her eyes, her breathing was steady and long, and there was a faint smile on her lips.
