Spring Breeze Twenty Years

Chapter 748 Qu Jian

Chapter 748 Qu Jian

Xiao Wei took out his work ID and opened it: "Come on, look carefully, can you read? Hold out your hands."

Chen Hui and Wang Gang took handcuffs and handcuffed these people, including the two lying down, one by one, and took them downstairs, stuffed them into the car, and returned to the branch office.

Inside the branch office compound, a Santana was parked in front of the gate. A man was leaning against the car smoking. When he saw two police cars coming in, he threw his cigarette butt on the ground and walked over.

"Old Yu, what's going on over there?" the man asked the old police officer, Section Chief Yu.

Section Chief Yu said, "Prosecutor Qu, when did you arrive?"

Qu Jian said, "It's been a while. I went over there and it looked messy, so I didn't go in. What's going on? Where's Gangzi?"

Section Chief Yu said, "That shop was shut down. It was found that Pu Chang was selling silver, illegally possessing controlled knives and guns, and involved in framing police officers."

Prosecutor Qu said, "How could that be? It was just a bunch of kids making a ruckus. Is it abnormal that there were a few girls? There were no orders from above, were there? Besides, what do you mean by framing police officers? Where's Gangzi? Don't tell me Gangzi was involved too."

Section Chief Yu said, "I'm sorry, Prosecutor Qu, but Qu Gang is the mastermind, and the evidence is conclusive. There's nothing I can do about it, so please don't make things difficult for me."

Prosecutor Qu said, "Don't give me that nonsense. We all know each other. Where are they? Where's Gangzi? You've convicted my son without even investigating or interrogating him? Who authorized you to arrest him?"

Xiao Wei and his five companions got out of the car, and the seven handcuffed thugs also jumped out, grimacing and stretching their legs. This car was so bad that anyone who squatted there would go numb.

Section Chief Yu said, "I don't think we need your approval to detain suspects while investigating cases, do we? Prosecutor Qu, you're making things difficult for me."

Prosecutor Qu said, "Why should I make things difficult for you? That's not your son. How could such a well-behaved child like Xiaogang commit a crime? Don't I know my son? He's a kid who doesn't even dare to fight. How did you come to see him as the mastermind? What makes you say that? Where's the evidence? Let me tell you, don't push your luck. If you can't produce evidence, I'm not finished with you."

Miler chimed in, "Your son's so well-behaved? He doesn't even dare to fight? So I must have bumped my face myself?"

"Uncle Qu, help! These guys beat up Gangzi today. We're here to help Gangzi!" one of the thugs shouted at Prosecutor Qu.

Xiao Wei turned around and kicked him: "Squat down! Did I tell you to speak?"

Qu Jian looked at him and asked, "Are you a child of the Kevin family?"

The thug, squatting on the ground, glanced up at Xiao Wei, nodded, and didn't dare utter a sound. Ouch, that really hurt.

"Who are you? Who gave you the authority to enforce the law?" Prosecutor Qu asked Xiao Wei.

Xiao Wei said, "Excuse me, I'm a police officer."

Prosecutor Qu nodded: "It's just a personal conflict, but you're using your position to settle personal scores. Where did you get the audacity to detain law-abiding citizens without cause, arbitrarily arrest prosecutors' children, take the law into your own hands, abuse public power to shut down legitimate businesses, and seriously disrupt the economic order? As a police officer, you're breaking the law knowingly. Let me tell you, this isn't over. No matter who's behind you, this isn't over."

Xiao Wei said, "Now you're interfering with our law enforcement and case handling, prosecutor. Just because the case involves your precious son, you're making a scene. Who gave you that right?"

Prosecutor Qu said, "Officially, as the chief prosecutor, I have the right to question people; personally, as the father of the wronged person, I have the right to question them."

Xiao Wei glanced at him and said, "Excuse me, Prosecutor Qu, this is a case handled by the provincial department. You don't seem to have enough authority. You should hurry back and find someone. Just one word from Director Liu is enough. Other people might not be able to help. Section Chief Lai, take the person inside. Let's not talk about it here."

Section Chief Yu said, "You guys, come in with me." He led the seven people into the building, and the boy from the Kewen family kept turning his head to look at Prosecutor Qu with deep affection as they walked.

Qu Jian glared angrily at Xiao Wei for a while, then turned around, got into the Santana, started the engine, and drove away.

Xiao Wei said to the section chief, "None of these people can be released. If you feel you can't handle it, send them to the army. If any of them disappear tomorrow, I won't be able to say anything, and a good thing will turn into a bad thing."

Section Chief Yu was leading seven people into the building when he heard Xiao Wei's words. He paused, turned to look at Xiao Wei, and said, "Alright, I really don't have that confidence. Okay, send it over, it'll be a relief."

So Section Chief Yu told the seven men to turn back and get back into the car, then went upstairs to get Qu Gang down, and drove to Brother Wang's place.

Chen Hui watched the car drive out of the yard and asked, "What about us? What are we going to do now?"

Xiao Wei said, "Go back to sleep. Put some hot towels on your face, otherwise you'll be too embarrassed to face anyone tomorrow."

The police station wasn't far from the Furama Hotel; it was just around the corner. The group strolled back along the road. They had chosen to stay there because it was close to the pier and the park, but unexpectedly, it turned out to be close to the police station and the hospital as well.

The group returned to the hotel to rest, their faces bruised and swollen, which startled the hotel staff, who nearly called the police. They asked the staff for hot water and went back to their room to apply towels to their wounds.

Meanwhile, Gangzi and his seven buddies were sent to the army. Brother Wang looked down on Section Chief Yu and didn't bother to talk to him. He ordered his men to take the eight men away and left. Section Chief Yu watched Brother Wang's retreating figure and smiled bitterly. He had offended this guy for no reason; it was an undeserved disaster.

Gangzi and his eight companions were led to a group of houses. "Go in, all of you behave yourselves," the impatient tone said, immediately enraging Gangzi. He turned to the soldier and shouted, "Do you know who I am? Do you believe I'll strip you naked?"

The young soldier sized him up a few times and said, "It's the biggest tragedy your dad ever had to give birth to you. Believe me or not, I'll put you in solitary confinement right now. Hurry up and get in." Someone nearby pulled Gangzi back, saying, "Damn it, this is the army, do you think this is your home?"

Once inside, the door was locked from the outside with a click.

The room was completely bare—no stools, no bed, nothing at all. The owner, Brother Bo, and his men were sitting on the floor against the wall. When they saw Gangzi come in, Brother Bo waved and said, "Gangzi."

Gangzi glanced around the room, walked over to Bo Ge, sat down against the wall, and said, "Bear with it for now. Those damn soldiers have gotten involved, but it's okay. My dad's gone over there. Tomorrow, we'll go out and see how I deal with them. I'll get them back with interest."

Bo leaned his head against the wall and looked out the window, saying, "Gangzi, I feel like this might be bad. Your dad might not be able to help. Let's see how things go tomorrow. Don't blame me then. I'll definitely answer whatever they ask. I can't handle this. If things go wrong, I might end up eating peanuts."

Gangzi said, "What's so bad about it? What can't my dad handle around here? Just wait and see how I deal with them tomorrow. Damn it, a bunch of out-of-towners come to Bincheng to show off."

Bo glanced at Gangzi, who was full of disdain, and suddenly felt an urge to strangle him. Besides spending money and causing trouble, he didn't know what else Gangzi could do. He always acted like he was so great, as if his father was the emperor.

Bo lowered his head, a wave of sadness washing over him.
