Chapter 997 Is that our building?

Despite being told they didn't need to accompany them, Xiaowei and Chen Hui were only freed after all the leaders had been put into their cars.

I sat at the project command center for a while to learn about the arrangements, including winter duty shifts and safety issues, before returning to the headquarters at People's Square.

The area is already planned out, with office areas for each department, a multi-functional area, and meeting rooms of various sizes. The beds in the dormitories are all in place. The dormitories for each department are in the back building of the main building; the property management company's dormitory is on the second floor of that row of two-story buildings, and the security department's dormitory is on their own upper floor.

The two people entered the building, went straight through the central hall and came out through the back door, walking along the covered corridor to the back.

The main building is shaped like an upside-down G, and the two of them and the finance staff were assigned to the small horizontal line in the middle. This was where the equipment was originally placed, a separate small building. The first floor was connected to the main building via a corridor, and right behind it was the building for the property management company.

The canteen was eventually placed on the first and second floors of the property management company. The third and fourth floors of Xiaowei's building became dormitories for various departments. The second floor had offices and a lounge for two people and the finance department, as well as a small meeting room. The first floor had a large meeting room.

The next day, Manager Zhang and Director Liu led a team to stay in Xidu to oversee the subsequent work, while Milina remained as Xiaowei's representative to coordinate. Xiaowei and Chen Hui, along with Manager Chen, Li Wen, Huang Laowu, Shi Li, and two artillery officers, headed straight for Xingcheng in two vehicles.

We set off in the morning, had a meal in the newly established city of SY, and arrived in Xingcheng around 4 p.m.

The massive building complex seems to float in mid-air, giving it an inexplicable sense of grandeur under the hazy sky. Several people stood by the roadside looking at it. Li Wen said, "Is that our building?"

Manager Chen said, "It's taller and bigger than this one, but it doesn't feel nearly as strong. The stepped design at the four corners is so ceremonial, perfectly matching the architectural characteristics of a church, making the central main building look like an altar. Although Xidu is large and tall, the upper floors are just ordinary elevator buildings, so it can't achieve this effect."

Xiao Wei said, "In the future, the buildings in Harbin might be even better than this, but they won't be standalone buildings there."

Shi Li asked, "Where are we going? Aren't you cold?"

Xiao Wei looked at Chen Hui: "Where to?"

Chen Hui said, "How would I know? Just ask your brother."
