Douluo Continent: Contract Goddess, Transforming the Mecha Girl World!

Chapter 14 Mech Update, Gale Wolf (Please continue reading)!

Today is the first day of school, and there's a boring opening ceremony this morning.

After finishing breakfast, Chen Shi and Xiao Wu rushed to the playground.

As part-time students, they naturally wouldn't have any good positions.

"Hmph, honestly, why are we made to stand at the back!"

Xiao Wu put her hands on her hips and glared angrily at the so-called leaders on the podium.

"Idiot, this is the place everyone else would love to be in!"

"Look how hot the sun is, all those people up ahead are getting so hot. We're so happy here in the shade."

Chen Shi pulled the little girl to his side, and the two of them hid together under the shade of a tree.

"It seems so~"

Upon hearing this, Xiao Wu realized what was happening and immediately cheered up, ceasing her complaints.

Then she took a carrot out of her small handbag: "Chen Shi, do you want some?"

"Couldn't you bring a cucumber next time? Those things are so juicy!"

Chen Shi took the bag, took a bite, tasted it, and then returned it to Xiao Wu.

"But cucumbers aren't as tasty as carrots!"

Xiao Wu pouted and continued nibbling at the spot where Chen Shi had bitten, eating with relish.

Seeing this, Chen Shi stopped paying attention to the delicious little rabbit and instead turned his gaze to all the new students on the playground.

He was searching for a martial spirit with potential for development!

However, after scanning the area, Chen Shi was immediately disappointed.

This was the first and worst batch of freshmen he had ever seen; not a single one of them possessed a martial spirit that caught Chen Shi's eye.

Leaving aside plant-based and food-based martial souls, weapon-based martial souls are mostly sticks and hammers, while flying beast martial souls are crows and swallows. Slightly stronger ones might be tigers and jackals.

However, their soul power level was too low, and their combat data was practically nonexistent, making them far inferior to the Wind Wolf Mech they obtained from Su Yuntao.

As for the faculty, most of them were at a similar level to Su Yuntao, or even inferior...

After seeing this, Chen Shi gave up the idea of changing his mecha.

After all, his current soul power level is not high, and some files must be preserved, so there is not much martial soul data that can be collected and stored, and there is no need to waste memory.

However, not finding a target does not mean that Chen Shi cannot strengthen his combat power!

"Hey Siri, update the mech data!"

"Compare the Wind Wolf Mech and the Spirit Rabbit Mech, and learn from their strengths while addressing their weaknesses!"

[Command received, executing...]

A light screen that only he could see appeared in front of Chen Shi, with the data of the Wind Wolf Mech and the Spirit Rabbit Mech constantly scrolling and comparing.

[Test complete. The Wind Wolf Mech is qualified for a second-generation upgrade. Host, would you like to proceed with the above steps?]

"Should we update to the second generation? Since we can't find a better martial soul for now, let's use low-cost cards to strengthen it as a temporary solution!"

"Siri, confirm!"

Chen Shi made a decision after a brief moment of thought.

[Host activates Creation Mode, unlocking Mech Master functionality!]

[Target of Modification: Wind Wolf Mech]

[Data Solution: Lingtu Mech]

[In conjunction with the update, the second-generation mech modification begins!]

Xiao Wu quickly finished her carrot and looked up to find Chen Shi staring intently at the air in front of her.

Before she could even ask, Chen Shi had already preemptively struck.

"Xiao Wu, keep watch for me. If anyone gets close, warn me immediately."

Without giving the little girl a chance to refuse, Chen Shi turned around and resumed optimizing the mecha.

"You! I'm not going to keep watch for you!"

Despite saying one thing but doing another, Xiao Wu obediently complied, her big eyes darting around.

Actually, Chen Shi didn't care whether or not to let the rabbit out to roam; he was just worried that the little rabbit would be too bored, so he wanted to find something for her to do.

Throughout the entire Notting Junior Academy, there are only a handful of Soul Masters whose Soul Power level exceeds 30.

With such limited capabilities, it's impossible to probe the operation of the smart chip, let alone the fact that Chen Shi's location is so remote.

Under the blazing sun, time seemed to slow down considerably.

Finally, everyone made it through the opening ceremony, and Chen Shi successfully completed his transformation!

[Data update complete, mech modification successful!]

【Name: Gale Wolf Mech (Second Generation Gale Wolf Mech)】

【Characteristics: Retains and enhances the Wind Wolf's aggression and agility, while incorporating the Spirit Rabbit's burst damage and flexibility】

"Phew, mission accomplished!"

After expending a long time on his mental and spiritual energy, Chen Shi's forehead was covered in sweat, but his eyes shone brightly, and he was full of pride!

At this moment, Xiao Wu came over and asked curiously, "You've got it sorted out?"

"Hmm, you did a good job keeping watch. I'll treat you to a big meal later!"

Chen Shi pinched Xiao Wu's flushed cheeks and smiled.

"Then you'll have to buy me carrots!"

Upon hearing this, Xiao Wu immediately perked up.

"Okay, okay, I'll buy it!"

Chen Shi didn't rush to try on the new mecha. It was inconvenient with so many people around, and he was hungry after standing there all morning.

Chen Shi was in a good mood today, so he took Xiao Wu up to the second-floor cafeteria.

The carrots there are bigger, longer, thicker, and taste better!

Looking at the little girl whose mouth was stuffed full, Chen Shi wiped the rice grains from her lips and asked with a smile, "Xiao Wu, when are you planning to hunt for your first spirit ring?"

"Hmm? It should be in the next few days..."

Upon hearing this question, Xiao Wu's eyes darted away.

She was a 100,000-year-old soul beast in human form, and her first seven soul rings did not require hunting; they could condense on their own.

"Then you absolutely must absorb a spirit ring of a higher age, otherwise you'll fall further and further behind me!"

Chen Shi deliberately provoked her, saying tauntingly.

"Alright, just you wait and see, Sister Xiaowu is the most amazing!"

Sure enough, the silly rabbit took the bait so easily.

Chen Shi's first spirit ring age is closely related to Xiao Wu's spirit ring age, so the stronger the latter is, the stronger he will be!

After lunch, Chen Shi didn't take Xiao Wu back to the dormitory, but instead went to the place where the two of them had secretly "dated" the day before.

"Chen Shi, what are we doing here?"

Xiao Wu clearly remembered this place, and suddenly had a bad feeling. She subconsciously licked her lips and took a step back.

Why are you running away? I'm not going to eat you!

"Didn't you say yesterday you wanted to have a mecha sparring match? Well, I'll grant your wish today!"

Chen Shi grabbed Xiao Wu and pulled her into his arms, grinning mischievously.

"Mech sparring? Come on, Sister Xiaowu isn't afraid of you!"

The little rabbit, full of fighting spirit, is determined to prove herself!

"Spirit Rabbit Mech, combine!"

Chen Shi granted the permissions, so with just a thought from Xiao Wu, the Spirit Rabbit Mech instantly donned its gear!

"Chen Shi, quickly become your big bad wolf! This time, I definitely won't lose!"

Xiao Wu was eager to try, but the poor little white rabbit hadn't realized the seriousness of the situation.

"Hehe, Xiao Wu, you're really cute sometimes, adorably silly~"

Chen Shi couldn't help but laugh out loud a few times, and finally snapped his fingers!

"Swift Wind Wolf, Combine!"

The next moment, in an instant, the data materialized!

The light green armor, paired with silver-gray components, completely enveloped Chen Shi!

The beast has awakened; tremble, little rabbit!
