My girlfriend is from 1949

It's already bad enough that your household registration booklet, which was perfectly fine and kept in a drawer, was suddenly chewed up by mice.

When they came to replace it with a new one, they encountered another operational error.

The information clearly indicated a family of three, but the son was conspicuously omitted.

Anyone would feel incredibly unlucky!

Most importantly, in this information age, we see far too much trouble caused by mistakes.

For example, when entering criminal records, the wrong person with the same name might be entered into the record.

As a result, every time someone checks into a hotel, the police receive a warning and conduct a late-night inspection.

On several occasions, I was even forced to cooperate with inspections at gunpoint.

Even when an input error is discovered, it remains unresolved.

An innocent person was overwhelmed by work-related issues, and their life was completely disrupted.

Such incidents are not isolated cases.

Chen Jianguo and Zhang Ping were not ignorant people; they naturally knew how much trouble would follow if they missed their son's information!

Therefore, I couldn't wait to bring it up, and I must correct it today no matter what.

Because they know very well that if they miss the opportunity to deal with it in person today, it will be useless to look for it again later.

It'll probably just result in them passing the buck!

Just as the staff was about to call the next person by number, they heard the question and took the household registration book.

A look of confusion crossed his face, and he muttered to himself, "That shouldn't be the case?"

She is meticulous in her work, and she compares the data repeatedly after each entry.

Especially this household registration booklet, which originally contained information about a family of three.

There have been changes, so we specifically verified them before printing out the new household registration booklet.

Could it be that I saw it wrong?

The staff member looked suspicious and immediately searched on the computer.

After comparing the information with the household registration book again, I breathed a sigh of relief.

He said confidently, "That's right, your son's household registration was moved out three months ago, so the household registration book only has information about the two of you."

"They moved out?"

Chen Jianguo and Zhang Ping froze, their faces showing surprise.

This sudden news left them completely bewildered.

What I can't understand is why my son suddenly moved his household registration out.

Chen Jianguo hurriedly asked, "Comrade, what was the reason he moved out?"

The staff member shook his head and said, "I can only tell you when you moved out. As for the reason and the current household registration information, that is personal privacy and cannot be disclosed without the head of household's authorization."

According to legal provisions, the police station's household registration system can only see the detailed reasons for migration for the handling police officers and specific authorized personnel.

For example, going to school, getting a job, getting married, etc.

In addition, even parents do not have the right to access this internal note.

Household registration transfer records involve personal privacy, and except for the individual and the public security, procuratorate and judicial authorities when handling cases, immediate family members have no right to obtain the details of the transfer.

Just like Chen Jianguo and Zhang Ping now, they have the original household registration booklet, which can only confirm that the child is not in the household, but will not tell them where the child has moved to or the detailed motives.

So even their own parents are helpless now.

The two walked out of the service hall, looking completely bewildered, holding their new household registration booklets.

Standing blankly at the door, I was still in a daze.

Although I have always hoped that my son can get married and start a new family.

But inexplicably, the son's household registration was moved out of this family.

I have this feeling that I've lost something.

Zhang Ping turned to him in confusion and asked, "Old Chen, why do you think our son moved his household registration out?"

Chen Jianguo frowned and said in a deep voice, "Why don't we just ask that brat?"

After saying that, he took out his phone and dialed Chen Huai'an's number.

Soon, a notification tone saying "The other party's phone is switched off" came from the speaker.

"That brat!"

Chen Jianguo cursed angrily, hung up the phone, then pulled out his son's messaging app and made a video call.

But it kept ringing until it automatically disconnected, and no one answered.

Zhang Ping pointedly reminded him, speechless, "My son's phone is already switched off, how could he possibly receive a video call?"

"Forehead……."

Chen Jianguo blinked, suddenly realizing that his wife's words made a lot of sense, and he was speechless.

He laughed awkwardly, "I've been so angry with that kid that I've lost my mind."

They ate quietly and then transferred their household registration out of the area.

It's no wonder they're angry that the parents were completely unaware.

It would be better to inform your parents before moving out, even if it's just a lie about buying a house in Shanghai, than to keep it from them.

It was only when I was applying for a new household registration that I unexpectedly discovered this, which naturally made me feel annoyed.

Zhang Ping thought for a moment and tentatively suggested, "How about we ask Xiao Kai to help us investigate?"

Xiao Kai's full name is Jiang Kai, and he is Chen Huai'an's cousin.

After graduating from police academy, I went back to work at the police station, and I wasn't a temporary worker!

Ask him to help check my cousin's household registration; it shouldn't be a big problem.

Chen Jianguo frowned, a hint of hesitation on his face: "This... isn't that a bad idea..."

Asking someone to check household registration information, even if it's for one's own son, will always involve violations.

But he was a public official and remained upright and incorruptible his entire life.

I feel guilty asking my nephew to check my personal information now.

Zhang Ping curled her lip and sneered disdainfully, "Even those who report through official channels can have their information traced. We're just checking our son's household registration information; this is nothing!"

Chen Jianguo paused for a moment, his mind racing.

He realized that his wife's words made sense.

They were just checking their son's information; compared to those people, it was nothing!

Moreover, my son's matter is important; if I don't figure out what's going on, I'm afraid I won't even be able to eat.

He immediately took out his phone, found his nephew's number, and dialed it.

"Xiao Kai, this is your third uncle. I have something I'd like to ask you for a favor. It's like this..."

A moment later, Chen Jianguo hung up the phone: "Xiao Kai said he'll help us investigate now and get back to me in a bit."

Zhang Ping nodded upon hearing this and said, "It's windy outside, let's wait in the car and go to the supermarket to buy groceries while we're at it."

It's already late December, and the weather is getting colder and colder.

Standing at the entrance of the police station, the wind was still quite cold on my face.

The two crossed the road and got into the Volkswagen sedan.

This car cost 150,000 yuan and is usually used by Zhang Ping to commute to and from get off work.

Chen Jianguo doesn't like driving and isn't usually in a rush, so he generally takes the bus to work.

The two drove to a nearby supermarket.

It's almost evening now, and the vegetables at the market are mostly leftovers from the morning. It's better to go to the supermarket; you can even get a discount in the evening.

Meanwhile, Jiang Kai sat in his office chair, his eyes fixed intently on the computer screen.

With a quick tap of my finger, I entered the internal query system.

Soon, Chen Huai'an's household registration information was retrieved.

When you see the marital status section: Married.

He was stunned: "Didn't my third uncle say this kid didn't have a girlfriend and even asked me to help him keep an eye out for suitable girls? When did he secretly get married?"
