The sound was somewhat muffled, like a hammer striking the ground repeatedly.

Zhou Fengchen was taken aback and asked, "What was that sound?"

Monk Yuanzhi shook his head. "I don't know. Could it be someone doing renovations late at night?"

"It seems to have come from the alleyway," Zhou Fengchen said.

The two ran to the balcony and looked down. It was just before nine o'clock at night. As usual, the neighborhood was pitch black at night, and the annoying rain was falling again. The alley was dark, and they couldn't see anything.

Thump, thump...

The sound kept ringing out, seemingly getting closer and closer.

Monk Yuanzhi scratched his head, then angrily shouted down, "What the hell is going on! Can't a person get any sleep in the middle of the night?"

The sound stopped abruptly!

Monk Yuanzhi chuckled and turned around, saying, "How about that? How about that? People these days are afraid of bad guys. If you're all smiles at them, they'll treat you like their first love."

"What nonsense are you spouting?" Zhou Fengchen frowned. "Why do I feel a chill run down my spine?"

"Why don't you go down and see who's chatting with him for a while?" Monk Yuanzhi teased.

"Nonsense." Zhou Fengchen turned and went back to his bedroom. "Going to sleep!"

The two of them, each with a quilt and a head, listened to the sound of rain outside and chatted for a while. Yuanzhi, the monk, somehow ended up at his cousin's house in northern Jiangsu. He also mentioned that the place where the "General" shot him with an arrow was often itchy, and he didn't know why. As he was talking, he started snoring.

Yuan Zhi's sleep quality made Zhou Fengchen very envious. He yawned, put his hands behind his head, thought about the years he spent with his father and sister, and finally drifted off to sleep.

After an unknown amount of time, there seemed to be a sound from the balcony, followed by faint footsteps entering the bedroom.

Zhou Fengchen woke up with a start. After listening carefully, he heard nothing and thought it was his imagination. Just as he was about to turn over, he suddenly became alert and quickly kicked Monk Yuanzhi away. He then rolled off the bed.

Just as I moved away from the edge of the bed, a loud "bang" came from behind me, and the entire bed was smashed, with cotton wadding flying everywhere.

In a panic, he looked up and saw a tall figure standing in front of the bed, holding a cylindrical object in his hand. Due to the lighting, he could only make out the outline, and he didn't know what it was.

He almost instinctively jumped up and punched.

The figure reacted quickly, raising his fist to exchange blows with him.

Snapped!

The man didn't move.

Zhou Fengchen stumbled back five or six steps and crashed into the wall. He felt his blood rush to his head and his arm throb with pain. He was shocked; he had never encountered anyone with such strength before.

Meanwhile, Monk Yuanzhi, still unaware of what was happening, groggily got up and said, "Why do I feel like I've been hit by a train?"

Zhou Fengchen immediately shouted, "Monk! Get out of the way!"

That's too late!

The figure raised the cylindrical object again and struck at Monk Yuanzhi.

Upon hearing Zhou Fengchen's shout and seeing something hurtling towards him, Monk Yuanzhi almost immediately dodged to the side. However, he was a fraction of a second too slow and was grazed on the side. He crashed into the wall with a "thud" and collapsed limply, his fate unknown.

"Damn it!" Zhou Fengchen was furious. He stepped forward and used the "Nine Yin White Bone Claw" to strike the man's neck. The strike felt like he was grabbing a block of iron, and his five fingers were in excruciating pain.

The figure then struck him in the chest with a backhand, sending him flying three or four meters before crashing into the wall again.

Before he could get up, the figure raised the cylindrical object and slammed it down hard.

At this moment, Zhou Fengchen realized that the cylindrical object was a spiked club! A spiked club covered in spikes!

He and Monk Yuanzhi saw it in the house where they killed Miss Chen today; this kind of thing is not common!

Ancestor? Nalan Abu, Yang Wudi? Is this the ancestor that Yang Fan and his father were talking about?

Just as the spiked club was about to come down, in a flash, Zhou Fengchen dodged to the side, clamped his legs around the opponent's legs, and forcefully flipped him over.

boom!

The figure fell to the ground, crashing through the bedroom door and sliding out of the bedroom. The spiked club scraped against the floor, making a screeching sound.

Zhou Fengchen got up and turned on all the lights in the room, then casually picked up the Qing Dynasty antique knife from the bedside table and looked up.

The figure stood up again, and under the lamplight, it became clear that he was a Qing Dynasty man wearing official robes and court beads, but without an official hat, with a bald head and a braided pigtail. No! He was a Qing Dynasty zombie!

His face wasn't covered in green hair and ugly as it appeared on TV. Instead, it was smooth and as hard as jade, with only a scar on the left side, as if carved into a stone. He looked to be in his thirties, and in modern times, he would be considered handsome.

At this moment, his red eyes rolled around, and he slowly raised his spiked club.

Zhou Fengchen was stunned. A zombie using weapons? And its two arms could move up and down? What the hell was that?

He quietly took out two talismans from his bag, chanted an incantation, and casually threw them, "Freeze!"

Whoosh!Whoosh!

Two talismans were placed, one on the zombie's forehead and the other on its chest.

The zombie froze and stopped.

Zhou Fengchen breathed a sigh of relief and was about to turn around to see how Monk Yuanzhi was doing when he inadvertently noticed that the zombie's eyes were rolling around.

His eyes could still move? His heart skipped a beat, and he frowned as he approached to examine them closely.

Just as he got close, the zombie suddenly let out a laugh that sounded like porcelain scraping, and swung its spiked club at him.

Zhou Fengchen was taken aback and quickly swung his sword to defend himself.

Ding!

He retreated four or five steps, but the zombie remained motionless, slowly tearing off the talisman, throwing it on the ground, and raising the spiked club again.

Zhou Fengchen breathed heavily, bit his finger, squeezed out a drop of blood, and flicked it onto the zombie's forehead.

It struck the center of the brow precisely, but it was still no use. Blood dripped down the zombie's face and into its mouth, where it gently sucked it in, even closing its eyes in a blissful state.

No! This isn't a zombie!

Zhou Fengchen, his face grim, raised his knife. "Wu Twelve, Blunt Blade Technique!"

As if to welcome him, the zombie raised its spiked club, hummed twice, and a strange mockery appeared in its eyes.

"Die!" Zhou Fengchen swung his sword and slashed.

The zombies swung their clubs in response.

Ding!

Ding ding ding!

A man and a zombie, one wielding a knife and the other a spiked club, fought their way from the bedroom door all the way into the living room.

Zhou Fengchen dodged and weaved using his martial arts skills, while the zombie, relying on its invulnerability to blades and spears, remained completely unafraid.

For a time, neither side could gain the upper hand.

The tables, chairs, benches, and sofas were quickly smashed to pieces, and the walls were riddled with holes.

As the zombie fought, the playfulness in its eyes disappeared. It swung its staff to knock Zhou Fengchen away, its stomach swelled up strangely, and it suddenly vomited out a bunch of "corpse coffins"!

Zhou Fengchen was shocked. It turned out that the "Corpse Box" was created by this ghostly thing. He hurriedly swung his knife wildly.

He had just killed a few people here when a spiked club came crashing down on him. He hurriedly dodged, but was a fraction too slow and got his thigh grazed, which stung terribly.

Seeing several "corpse monsters" preparing to sneak into the bedroom, Zhou Fengchen jumped aside, biting his knife, and formed hand seals, shouting, "Clone! Quickly!"

shhhhhh!

Nine figures instantly appeared in the hall, all nine Zhou Fengchens looking exactly alike, each holding a knife.

In the blink of an eye, five attacked the zombies, while four specialized in killing the corpses.

The zombie was startled, seemingly human-like, and didn't understand what Zhou Fengchen was doing. It brandished its spiked club to protect its entire body.

The pain in his thigh was intensifying, and he was bleeding profusely. Each step felt sticky on his feet, and he was worried about the fate of the monk Yuanzhi in the bedroom. Zhou Fengchen panicked. He killed all the "Corpse Boxes," and the nine shadows surrounded the zombie. Then, in the instant the zombie dodged, their bodies merged into one. He bit his finger, drew several hand seals on his palm, and struck the zombie on the forehead: "Five Thunder Orthodox Method, Exorcise Evil and Subdue Demons, Palm Thunder! Die!"
