Full-Time Mage: One random forbidden spell per month

Chapter 3: The Golden Flame Dragon Lion in its Advanced Stage!

Time flies, and winter vacation is here.

After five months of exploration, Li Xingze began to understand the function of this cheat system:

You will receive a forbidden magic scroll in a random draw every month.

Of course, these forbidden magic scrolls are for one-time use only.

The forbidden scroll has two usage modes. One is direct generation, which can only be used within a 10-kilometer range.

This has a major drawback: the gravitational vortex of the forbidden spell is something a mere beginner mage like him simply cannot escape, and he could easily perish together with it.

Different forbidden spells have different gravitational vortex sizes. If the range of the gravitational vortex is less than ten kilometers, it's fine.

If the distance exceeds ten kilometers, he's doomed.

Another method is manual casting, but this requires consuming an extra forbidden spell scroll. This directly generates a forbidden spell mage to cast the spell, and the mage disappears immediately after casting the forbidden spell.

In five months, including the fire-type forbidden spell he used when he awakened, Li Xingze now has a total of six forbidden spell scrolls.

Five of them are elemental forbidden spells, plus one mental forbidden spell.

"Mo Fan should be able to release it by now, right?"

Li Xingze did not become impatient because of this; he would need about another month to get his seventh star.

This speed is already quite good; dimensional cultivation is inherently more difficult than elemental cultivation.

Moreover, the summoning system is different from the elemental system. Even if he can complete the release, he still needs to go to the summoning plane to find a suitable summoning beast.

This process takes a lot of time, so Li Xingze wasn't in a hurry.

Rather than finding an ordinary summoned beast, Li Xingze hoped to have a summoned beast with good bloodline, at least stronger than the Ghost Wolf Beast.

In the original story, Mo Fan was able to raise the Ghost Wolf Beast so well entirely due to the protagonist's halo.

For ordinary summoned beasts with low bloodlines, the success rate of advancement may be less than 50%.

What's the difference between a 50% success rate and failure?

Li Xingze didn't consider himself lucky; his summoned beast might die during the advancement process.

When that time comes, he will not only have wasted so many resources and time, but he will also have to find another summoned beast.

"Brother Xingze, are you going for a run again?"

Just as Li Xingze was about to go out for a workout, a soft, sweet voice came from behind him.

"Xinxia~"

Li Xingze turned around and saw Xin Xia looking at him with a smile.

Xin Xia has a gentle and lovely feel like a girl next door. Her black hair falls to her waist, and her small face has fair and clean skin without any flaws. Her pair of deep black eyes are as deep as the night sky. Her appearance completely reflects her personality.

"Only by building up your body can you better protect me." Li Xingze gently pinched Xin Xia's soft and tender cheek.

Upon hearing Li Xingze's words, Xin Xia's face immediately turned rosy.

"Brother Xingze has awakened a summoning ability, so it's good for him to train his body, but he shouldn't overwork himself," Xinxia said with some concern.

"Don't you know my physical condition?" Li Xingze chuckled.

Hearing these words that could easily be misunderstood, Xinxia's face turned even redder, and even her neck turned pink.

After teasing Xin Xia, Li Xingze went outside and ran along the path, where he ran into Mo Fan.

Ever since he saw Li Xingze start training, this guy, determined not to get caught up in the competition, decisively joined the ranks of those who were also competing.

Even Zhang Xiaohou later joined in.

Li Xingze was naturally delighted with this, as mages are inherently fragile and therefore need to strengthen their physique even more.

Even if we don't fight demons head-on, we should at least have the reaction to dodge their attacks.

"Hehe, I can unleash the Lightning Seal without any pressure now. When are you going to let me see your summoned beast?"

During the run, Mo Fan couldn't help but ask Li Xingze a question out of curiosity.

Summoners are extremely rare in Bo City. It seems that Bai Yang is the only summoner, and to make matters worse, he is an undercover agent for the Black Church.

During this time, Mo Fan also went online to search for information about summoners and summoned beasts, and what he found shocked him.

Among novice mages, the Summoner is like a tiger among sheep, invincible among his peers!

To this, Li Xingze simply replied, "It depends on luck. If I'm unlucky, I might not find a suitable one next year."

"what?"

Mo Fan looked puzzled. Was the Summoning system really that difficult to cultivate?

"Oh, and I'm warning you, don't do anything weird to Xinxia!"

"Don't worry, I've done even the strangest things."

"You beast, I'll fight you to the death!"

Two months have passed in the blink of an eye.

A month ago, Li Xingze had already completed the control of seven stars.

In one month, Li Xingze went to the Summoning Dimension five times, but he didn't encounter any summoned beasts that he liked. The best one he encountered was the Ghost Wolf Beast.

"Are we really going to give up on our summoned beasts?"

Li Xingze was particularly troubled because most summoners, after reaching the intermediate level, would choose to abandon their summoned beasts as "contract workers" and instead focus on cultivating their contracted beasts as their "own children."

It is extremely difficult for low-level demonic beasts to achieve a class leap, as it is akin to defying the hegemon.

Not every summoned beast has the courage of the old wolf, and not every summoner has the luck of Mo Fan.

"Try again."

Li Xingze closed his eyes, and the seven stars arranged themselves in order, eventually forming a star trail.

Then, a flash of white light appeared, and when Li Xingze opened his eyes again, he was already on a lush green grassland.

The sky was clear and blue, the grassland was flat, and the view stretched as far as the eye could see.

In just a moment, Li Xingze's gaze was fixed on a golden figure.

A dragon-lion emitting golden flames stands majestically atop a hill more than two meters high, looking down upon all living beings.

Its body is like a statue cast in gold, with each scale shining with dazzling light, and the gradient of gold and orange-red is like lava flowing on its skin.

Sunlight streamed through the gaps in the clouds, illuminating the Golden Flame Dragon Lion as if it were bathed in sacred light, making it appear even more solemn and inviolable.

The golden flame dragon lion proudly raised its head, its horns like two sharp swords piercing the sky, the light from the tips of its horns seemingly capable of cleaving the heavens.

Those golden eyes were as deep as ancient stars, burning with an inextinguishable golden flame, exuding a majestic aura of a king.

The lion's mane fluttered in the wind, like flames dancing in a gale, each sway radiating a powerful heatwave that seemed capable of burning everything around it to ashes.

Its limbs are strong and powerful, and its claws are deeply embedded in the hard rock.

At first glance, Li Xingze was deeply attracted to this figure.

"This dragon-lion's bloodline is definitely not low, otherwise... we'll take it."

Li Xingze thought for a moment, then realized that if he continued searching like this, he didn't know when it would end.

This golden flame dragon lion looks to be still in its infancy, but it is already very close to the level of a warrior general.

If Li Xingze contracts with it, he can save a lot of resources.
