Henry followed the messenger all the way to the military camp.

Along the way, refugees who were sleeping on the deck were rebuilding their post-disaster settlements.

Bodies were continuously loaded onto trailers and taken away.

But fear did not overwhelm people's desire to live; Henry saw several refugees spontaneously build a platform.

They shared with others methods to prevent the spread of corruption and plague... mostly things like paying attention to personal hygiene.

There was still some distance to the armory.

A commotion mixed with the sounds of fists and kicks then came over.

"All I did was steal a little bit of your wine!"

"Is it really necessary to make such a fuss?"

"Ouch! Don't hit my face!"

"It's not that I wanted to fight back, it's just that my robotic arm reacted on its own!"

A resounding slap brought the argument to a crisp end.

"Stop hitting him!"

"And another thing! Doctor! Aren't you on my side?"

There was a two-second silence in the crowd, followed by the young apprentice's confident rebuttal.

"Oh, I didn't realize it at first."

boom.

Then came another kick.

Henry found the voice somewhat familiar.

He couldn't help but quicken his pace.

He walked around the stacks of discarded metal crates at the entrance of the passageway and took in the view of the armory gate.

Dozens of armed guards stood on both sides with their guns.

They were herding about a hundred shackled laborers into several rows, making them squat on the ground and wait for roll call.

They were the men Cass had promised to take with Henry to the lower decks soon.

On an open space at the edge of the venue,

Seven or eight guards were standing in a circle.

The wailing was coming from inside.

"Be gentle! I know Wesker!"

"Crippled Wesker"

"He's my friend!"

He responded to him.

Another round of punches and kicks ensued.

Henry glanced at it.

Finally, I could see clearly the man who was rolling around on the ground, clutching his head.

Who else could it be but Balu?

Standing next to him was the medical apprentice who had been complaining and feeling aggrieved on the front lines not long ago.

The two huddled together, one crying out in pain, the other protesting their innocence.

However, the guards surrounding them didn't gain much advantage either.

Almost everyone had a bright red handprint on their face.

Henry knew almost without even having to guess what had happened.

Balu's iron arm wasn't very cooperative, probably because it retaliated while Balu was explaining.

And that's how things turned out.

Henry walked toward them.

The messenger leading the way actually mustered up the courage to try and stop him.

"Mr. Knight..."

"Don't be nervous, I won't hurt anyone."

On the other side...

Balu was covering his head, taking a beating while secretly observing his surroundings.

suddenly.

He saw that familiar figure.

His eyes lit up for a moment, but then quickly dimmed again.

He turned his head away immediately, as if he hadn't seen anything.

He deliberately raised his voice.

"Is that young man who looks like a greenhorn one of yours?"

"Tell him!"

"Don't think I'm scared just because you outnumber me!"

"Hey! Young man!"

"Stay away! Or you might get accidentally hurt, don't blame me!"

They shout all they want.

But his eyes kept squinting at Henry.

That expression practically screamed a sentence.

"Don't come any closer."

Henry watched this scene and smiled helplessly.

I'm the one who should be the one causing danger...

He stopped behind the crowd and raised his voice to shout.

You should rephrase it.

The surrounding guards paused and turned their heads.

Henry looked at Baruch on the ground.

"You should tell them that you are a friend of Knight Henry."

"And this knight," he pointed to the dark green blood still smeared all over his body, "has just banished a demon."

The noise in the corridor subsided.

The soldiers who were originally punching and kicking Balu.

They retreated almost simultaneously.

They certainly recognized the man in front of them.

Just over ten minutes ago.

Everyone in the entire defense zone watched as the knight, riding that rotten fly, crashed down from the sky.

The demon is dead, but he is still alive.

The meaning is self-evident.

The person who had been holding Balu released his grip.

"...What?"

Balu was taken aback.

Look at the soldiers who suddenly retreated, and then look at Henry standing not far away.

I finally realized something.

Henry went out for a short while and did something big again!

He scrambled to his feet.

He opened his arms and walked toward Henry.

"You bastard!"

"Why did you run off all by yourself!"

"We went to great lengths to find you!"

"So you found the military warehouse?" Henry asked.

"Well, it's also possible that I accidentally stole some alcohol from here to celebrate my friends and me finally escaping death."

Balu coughed twice, forcibly steer the conversation back to the main topic.

"No matter what, you drank that alcohol, so if we really investigate, you're an accomplice."

Henry pressed his temple.

Speechless.

His gaze fell on the doctor next to him, whose face was bruised and swollen.

"And what's going on with this one?"

Balu pointed.

"The partner I met while looking for alcohol."

"When they found out, that guy immediately sold me out!"

Upon hearing this, the young military doctor

He was so angry that he took several steps back, his voice trembling.

"You're talking nonsense!"

"You were the one who knocked me unconscious and ran away!"

He caught a glimpse of the sword at Henry's waist.

He swallowed hard, his voice trailing off.

"I was forced into this situation..."

Henry ignored their argument.

He turned his head and looked at the messenger who had been waiting beside him.

"Can you do me a favor?"

The messenger immediately stood up straight.

"Whatever your command."

Henry glanced at Baru.

"He was already missing an arm, so he was considered disabled and not suitable to go down there."

The messenger hesitated for a moment, but nodded nonetheless.

"This... I... I need to apply to my superior."

This conversation did not escape Balu's ears.

"Hey, you don't want me to go, but I'm going anyway! Henry, don't forget, you're still going to give me a noble status, dangdang!"

"This is not the time for jokes, Balu!"

"You can't keep getting rid of us, Henry! Do you know how worried we are about you, you bastard!"

Even if it means going back to the lower levels?

"Even if it means going back down to the lower levels again!"
