Mystery: When the Lost Homelanders Meet the Lost Homeland Call

Chapter 67 What is meant by "eat first"?

Southern Continent.

Lynn's figure sped through the clouds, his cloak fluttering in the wind, and eerie green flames swirled around him, making him appear as a shooting star streaking across the sky.

Behind him was a plantation being burned to the ground. The plantation had been corrupted by the sacrificial rituals of the Rose School. After discovering that all their divinations about the future had failed, the madmen stationed there chose to sacrifice themselves and everyone else to the Mother Tree of Desire, organizing a grand carnival.

The ground in the ritual area had turned completely black, and stepping on it would cause an oily black liquid to seep out, as if pointing directly to all kinds of unbearable desires in people. Various strange powers permeated the air, and the mother tree was obviously very satisfied with the effect of the ritual.

Fortunately, Lynn was quick enough to destroy the ritual and save most of the uncorrupted people.

Unfortunately, there were too many strongholds, and the Mother Tree was giving out power quite generously. No matter how fast Lynn acted, he couldn't save everyone, at least not the brainwashed members of the school.

In the days following his farewell to Adam, he had been trying to completely eradicate the Rose School.

Unfortunately, Lynn himself didn't have any large-scale search methods, and the anti-divination of the Desire Mother Tree prevented him from performing divination, so he could only eliminate some small strongholds.

White Tower is currently in the Astral Plane deciphering the fragments of the Deep Lord that Leviathan and Lynn just handed over. All the practical matters have now fallen on his shoulders, and he is working day and night.

Not long ago, he reached a cooperation agreement with Pales, and then in Tingen, where he frequented, he found the otherworldly item that he had a premonition about. He also took the time to deal with some Umbrellas that couldn't understand the hints, and got the first batch of traits from Adam. In the rest of the time, Lynn was sweeping across the Southern Continent.

Every time he starts his sweep, some strongholds sense that their future is becoming unseen, and then they commit suicide, sacrificing everyone they can reach in the process.

If Lynn Aberrant acts solely using Lynn's physical body, the Mother Tree of Desire can directly predict the course of events, and the outcome will be the same.

There is only one outcome.

Mother Tree of Desire: All believers, heed my command! Offer your sacrifices until the very last moment, and commit suicide to return to heaven!

"Hahahaha..." A deep laugh echoed from the head in Lynn's hand. This "living corpse" that had been mutated by the ritual still retained the ability to speak even with only its head remaining. Lynn held it in his hand, preparing to interrogate it slowly.

"You're too late..."

"They all died because of you..."

"If you don't come, the ceremony won't proceed..."

"Dian," Lynn replied directly, "If I don't come, they'll still die in the futures market anyway. If I come, at least I can save most of them."

"But what you said isn't entirely unreasonable," Lynn's voice sent a chill down the spine of the mind filled with the power of the Mother Tree. "It's my problem that I couldn't save everyone, but if these people need to be saved, that's your Lord's problem."

Lynn lowered his head, staring directly at the head, a ghostly green flame burning in his eyes, and said, "Tell your Lord a message: Lynn the Lost One will soon visit your Lord."

After saying that, he crushed the head.

Lynn sighed. Destroying the stronghold was like killing the goose that lays the golden eggs, but not destroying it was also just a sustainable form of killing the goose that lays the golden eggs.

At least in the current environment, the Outer Gods are not yet at the level where killing a few ordinary people can grant low-sequence powers. Their current actions are genuinely diminishing the power of the Rose School.

-

Lynn fell like a whirlwind towards a village.

A dozen or so crooked wooden stakes stood around the village, each with a figure still twitching nailed to it.

Some were no longer human, their limbs bent backward at bizarre angles, as if they had been reassembled like dolls; others had their skin completely peeled off, revealing pink muscle tissue underneath, yet they were still alive, their eyelids cut off, their eyeballs turning in terror in the night.

"The taste of the Mother Tree of Desire," Lynn squinted, "is truly appalling."

Lynn waved his hand, scattering the eerie green flames upon the figures, cleansing them of their contamination and healing their wounds.

"roar--"

A werewolf pounced on Lynn with frenzied speed, leaving afterimages in the air. Black curses were wrapped around its claws, as if it had gained power in the ritual.

Lynn raised his leg, stretched it out, and kicked the werewolf away.

The werewolf was kicked to the ground and quickly fell silent.

"It's really troublesome to find your headquarters," Lynn spat.

As for using [Lost Fire] to directly obtain results, it's important to know that Lynn's search method literally means running around the map, traversing the physical space and any other dimensions he can find, directly skipping the process to search the entire continent. Lynn currently has no intention of dragging the entire southern continent along to meet Duncan.

His activities in Tingen have already allowed the power of the Dark Lord to leak into Tingen. If he really makes such a big move, he wouldn't be surprised if the Lost Homeland jumps right into his face the next second.

Maybe this is a good thing?

Lynn rubbed his temples.

"We still can't make that assumption. What if a black sun were to descend?"

"Over there in Tingen, the power of the Dark Lord must have leaked out a long time ago. And it must be said that he is indeed an ancient king. The leaked power has been embedded into the rules of this world so quickly that it can even give others a premonition in the spirit world."

"Although some errors still occurred, considering the state of the original body, the cross-world errors in power did not even catch up with the collapse of the original body."

Lynn continued forward, casually punching a "prisoner" to death, while pondering whether to simply sink the Southern Continent if they still couldn't find a solution in the Astral Plane.

In the center of the village stands a high platform made of bones, about three people tall. Each bone has been meticulously polished, its surface engraved with twisted symbols. Seven spears are nailed to the platform, each spearhead piercing a head, not all intact. Some only have half a face left, while others have their eye sockets gouged out and filled with some kind of wriggling, faintly glowing insect eggs.

At the base of the altar, dozens of civilians, their hands and feet bound, huddled in the mud. Most of them were naked, their skin covered with whip marks and burns. Some had their fingers chopped off, and their wounds were wrapped in filthy strips of cloth, soaked in black blood and congealed into hard lumps.

When they saw Lynn emerge from the carcasses of the werewolves, the fear in their eyes did not lessen in the slightest; to them, the green fire was just as terrifying. A little girl buried her face in her mother's arms, and the mother pressed her tightly against her chest, trembling all over, yet remaining silent, as if she had long been accustomed to maintaining absolute silence in such moments.

Looking at the heads impaled on the altar by spears, the infants whose skin had been peeled off alive near the altar, and the girl whose bones were being used to make musical instruments, Lynn sighed and waved his hand, burning all of these things to ashes with his eerie green flames.

Then he smiled at the people who were still alive.

As if by magic, Lynn pulled out a large, steaming bucket from behind him. On the wooden bucket was a line of crooked little words: "Special supply of Flying Spicy Soup for the Church. This soup is steaming hot, and this heart is burning with sincerity."

He lifted the lid of the bucket, and the rich aroma of spices and the spiciness of pepper instantly filled the air, diluting the stench of blood and decay in the air.

"I am the 'Eat First' of the Flying Hot Soup Church." Lynn squatted down, trying to make his line of sight level with those huddled together. "From now on, you will not live in hunger and fear."
