This adventurer is overly righteous.

Chapter 37, please witness.

After a long journey, Croa found his goal.

It was a camp twice the size of what he had seen before, with crude buildings constructed by goblins standing in it. There were two watchtowers, each about three meters high, facing north and south, with goblins carrying short bows looking around.

Where did they get their bows?

A question arose in Kroya's mind. Although goblins sometimes obtained the weapons of adventurers who died in the wild, no adventurer should carry a bow that big. It was far too small for an adult, as if it were tailor-made for goblins.

It seems the book is true; the more goblins there are, the faster they develop. They've even mastered the technology to make arrows and bows.

Kroya moved a little closer, and despite his frequent reading, his eyesight remained excellent.

Goblins of all sizes moved through the simple buildings. In the center of the camp was a huge campfire, and beside it sat a mutated goblin larger than any of the others. It held an unusually thick wooden club in its arms, its head lowered and eyes half-closed, enjoying the heat of the flames. Its abdomen heaved rhythmically with its breathing, and Kroya could almost hear its heavy panting.

Goblins of normal size would occasionally pass by it, and Kroya would compare their sizes.

The giant mutated goblin was nearly three meters tall. Although its limbs were not as thick as those of an ogre, the lines of its muscles were still faintly visible under its green skin and thick layer of fat.

That's the thing that can knock down houses and smash humans into mincemeat.

"There are five ordinary mutated goblins, and about thirty ordinary goblins..."

Kroya moved to a different position to observe the goblin camp from a different angle, getting a clear view of the number of goblins and their weapons, but he didn't see any trace of humans.

They must have some large, underground nest where they sent the captured women.

This was not good news for Croa, whose primary purpose in coming here was to rescue people.

But now it seems there is no hope of saving them. Kroya felt a little sad, but he knew he had done his best, so he stopped blaming himself and turned his attention to the goblins who lived like humans.

Anger was rising in his heart, and now the most important thing became crystal clear.

Croa sat in the shadows, quietly awaiting nightfall, concealing any light that might expose him. Then he drew his bow and released an arrow.

Kill all these goblins, leave none alive.

The arrow struck a goblin on the south watchtower. There were two goblins on the watchtower, each responsible for the east and west sides. Upon witnessing its companion being hit by the arrow, the surviving goblin immediately cried out to warn of an approaching enemy.

The next moment, Kroya's arrow struck its open mouth, pinning it to the wooden post of the watchtower.

A considerable commotion broke out in the goblin camp. A small squad led by mutated goblins rushed toward the direction from which the arrows had been fired. Wielding large clubs, they charged into the night with overwhelming force and seemed unstoppable. Their figures disappeared into the wilderness, their shouts used to relay messages never ceasing.

The ordinary goblins in the goblin camp temporarily returned to their usual state, while the super-sized mutated goblin remained guarding the campfire, not even raising its head.

But after a moment, the sound emanating from the goblin squad disappeared into the distance.

When they didn't hear a response from their companions for a long time, the goblins became nervous again. They started lighting torches in the braziers that were used for lighting in the camp, and in an instant, the entire area around the camp was completely illuminated, so they could see the enemy attacking from any direction.

The cold night wind stirred the burning flames. Goblins don't have very good eyesight; years of living in caves have caused their vision to deteriorate. They rely more on scent to distinguish their companions and prey.

The darkness was like a veil covering their eyes; they couldn't see what had shot the arrows that killed the sentries in the night, nor could they understand why the goblins who had ventured out remained silent for so long. It was as if the night was a monster's open mouth, and they had inadvertently stepped into it and been devoured.

"Gah!"

Just as the goblins were about to relax their guard, the goblin on the northern outpost let out a mournful cry, fell backward off the watchtower, and an arrow was stuck in its chest.

The other one fell in the same way, its head hitting a rock and bursting like a balloon.

Just as the goblins swarmed around, trying to snatch the shortbow from their companion's back, a green head was tossed from a distance.

“Guaaaa!”

The goblins, who had been scrambling for the bows, let out a terrified cry. It was a goblin's head, and upon closer inspection, one could recognize that it belonged to the goblins who had formed small groups to go out and eliminate enemies. But now, its head had been cut off with a sword and thrown back!

One goblin head after another was thrown back from the darkness, which terrified the goblins. The scene was like some monster eating its companions' bodies and then spitting out their heads!

A head crashed down beside the campfire. The gigantic mutated goblin raised its head and let out a sharp howl. Immediately, three more mutated goblins led the rest of the goblins out, carrying torches. In no time, the camp was much emptied.

"brush"

"Bang"

"Bang"

"Bang"

Just after the mutated goblins left with ten ordinary goblins, stones that seemed to come from nowhere knocked over the brazier, causing the flames to flicker and dim in an instant.

Kroya has already entered the goblin camp.

The goddess's blessing seemed to be more than just allowing Kroya to hide in the darkness. Kroya discovered that he could easily see distant things even at night. The goddess of the night was more generous than he had imagined. She was in charge of revenge, so Kroya would dedicate this revenge against the goblins to her.

With the help of darkness, Kroa can easily conceal its form. Although goblins can still smell its scent, they have difficulty detecting Kroa's exact location. In the darkness, even a goblin nest of this size can be easily invaded by Kroa.

"By the goddess above..."

"Witness this..."

The only mutated goblin remaining in the camp sensed the dangerous aura of humans. He turned around abruptly, raising his club high. Before he could react, a fair and delicate face appeared before him, and a burning rage could be seen in the gentle, lake-like blue eyes.

"Click!"

Kroya's sword slashed into the mutated goblin's neck, the blade clanging as it touched the bone. In an instant, the bewildered green head snapped off, thick, foul-smelling blood spraying everywhere.

"This revenge."
