This adventurer is overly righteous.

Chapter 48 Goblins are the adventurers' wheat

Although Kroya had a significant advantage, the other adventurers were also incredibly fast. By the time Kroya arrived at the next goblin camp, some adventurers had already arrived and were engaged in fierce battles with the goblins. Roars and cries could be heard from afar.

Kroya stopped in his tracks. He didn't intend to get involved, but simply watched from the sidelines. He would help if anything happened to the other party.

However, it was clear that Kroya was overthinking it. At this moment, the situation in the goblin camp was that the goblins were being slaughtered in one direction. A small team of only three adventurers easily swung their swords and cut down all the goblins like wheat.

The three were probably all experienced adventurers, acting decisively and quickly, but their swordsmanship was only average compared to Kroya's. When facing multiple goblins at the same time, they would inevitably get entangled in a fight.

Several mutated goblins in the camp nearly hit them several times, and even though they were wearing armor, such an attack would not have been pleasant.

After a few minutes, the goblins completely lost their will to fight. Their leader, a mutated goblin, was beheaded by the three adventurers working together. The adventurers could easily slaughter them all. The ordinary goblins posed no threat after their leader died.

The remaining goblins began to scatter in all directions, trying to hide themselves in the wilderness. To Kroya's surprise, the three adventurers simply watched the goblins run away without doing anything. Instead, they turned around and began to plunder the goblin camp for spoils and cut off the ears of the dead goblins.

What are they doing?

Kroya couldn't understand what the three adventurers were doing, but he knew that if he let these goblins go, they would soon come back with a vengeance if given a little more time.

So Kroya drew his bowstring, and several arrows shot out one after another, piercing through the goblins who were about to disappear into the wilderness.

[You eliminated the goblins; such a good deed deserves praise.]

[Slightly increases magic resistance]

Kroya looked at the three adventurers with a somewhat solemn expression. The sound of him shooting the goblin could not be hidden from them. They had already reacted when the goblin let out its first scream and assumed a fighting stance. They then confirmed his location by the arrow Kroya fired again.

Interfering in other adventurers' missions was not a wise move, and the three adventurers looked at Kroya with hostile eyes.

Was that guy hiding there the whole time?

Judging from the archery skills the other party displayed when he just eliminated the goblins, if that guy had chosen to ambush them, they would most likely have ended up like those goblins.

This forced them to be wary of Kroya, and the two sides remained deadlocked until Kroya finally broke the deadlock.

"I'm also an adventurer here to exterminate goblins," Kroya shouted. "I don't want to get into a conflict with you."

"This place is ours now."

One of the three adventurers stepped forward, holding a small shield, and responded in the same manner.

"You shouldn't have interfered with our mission, and we won't hand over the goblins you killed to you."

"No problem, my intervention in your mission was not out of malice." Seeing that the other party was not furious but spoke to him rationally, Kroya breathed a sigh of relief.

He didn't want to clash with the other adventurers, who didn't seem to be the type to have an extremely bad temper. Of course, it could also be because they were afraid of Kroya's archery skills. Kroya felt that the problem could be solved through communication.

"I just don't want to see goblins running around everywhere. After they escape, they'll quickly form new settlements and continue raiding nearby villages..."

Kroya thought the other party should be able to understand this reason, but as Kroya's voice reached the ears of the three adventurers, their expressions became very strange.

After a long while, the adventurer holding the small shield finally spoke.

"You're a new adventurer, aren't you?"

No.

But before Kroya could speak, the adventurer continued.

"If we kill all the goblins, how will we adventurers make money?"

"..."

Kroya fell into a brief silence, and the adventurer continued speaking, his tone lecturing.

"Kid, you should know that many adventurers make money by hunting goblins."

He felt he had to teach this clueless newcomer a lesson. The adventurer profession had survived for so long because there were many unspoken rules that needed to be followed. If these new adventurers didn't know these rules, it would harm the interests of all adventurers.

"There's no monster in the world greater than a goblin, you know that?"

With their incredibly rapid reproduction and cunning, greedy nature, goblins have always been a focus of the Adventurers' Guild. The Guild frequently issues missions to adventurers to wipe out goblin lairs, all in an effort to kill these creatures without leaving a single one alive.

At first, the adventurers would indeed meticulously carry out the tasks issued by the Adventurers' Guild, never letting a single goblin escape.

But as time went on, the number of goblins began to decrease dramatically, and the adventurers realized they had made a mistake, a huge mistake.

Without goblins, where would low- to mid-level adventurers get their income?

"Goblins are the adventurer's wheat!"

The adventurer spoke in an extremely arrogant tone.

Leaving a few alive as "seeds" when exterminating goblins is absolutely essential. These constantly multiplying goblins allow adventurers to earn a steady stream of commissions from the Adventurers' Guild.

As for the impact of the goblin infestation on the surrounding villages, the adventurers didn't care. They lived in White Rock Town, where even the boldest goblins wouldn't dare approach, so it wouldn't affect them.

"Watch your step next time, kid!"

Realizing that the other party was probably a novice adventurer who knew nothing but possessed martial arts skills, these veteran adventurers lowered their guard and slowly disappeared from Kroya's sight, their faces filled with disdain and arrogance.

"Just as I expected..."

Adventurers are all scum.

Kroya shook his head. Although he knew that there were few good people among these adventurers, he still felt nauseous when he saw them praising goblins to the skies for money.

So Kroya ignored the adventurers' words and continued running through the wilderness, acting according to his own moral compass and showing no mercy to goblins.

You successfully wiped out a goblin camp; that deserves praise.
