"Alright, you absolutely mustn't bother me during this time."

Leijin kept adding firewood to the furnace while pulling the bellows. The cold air was pumped into the furnace, and the oxygen made the flames rise higher and higher, gradually becoming fierce and difficult to control. Kroya had never tried to use such intense flames for forging before, but this seemed far from enough for Leijin. His furnace was a precious magical artifact that could enhance the power of the flames and completely melt various metal materials.

"I'm going to start forging that sword."

Because of the cold weather, the blacksmith shop was filled with rising steam. Leijin wiped his sweat and earnestly instructed Kroya, who was watching and learning from the side.

"Alright, then I'll look forward to the final weapon you forge." Kroya wisely left the blacksmith shop without saying anything more, closing the door behind him.

Anyone could see that the dwarf Leijin was obsessed with forging; he had long been unable to suppress his desire to forge the Dragonheart Sword, a desire he had suppressed for a long time.

It took Lejin nearly ten days to travel between the monastery and Whitestone Town. After that, he still had to help Kroya deal with the Steel Swamp Dragon's corpse. Several more days passed, and Lejin was already impatient.

Forging itself is an addictive thing for dwarves, like a drug, and the material being forged this time is a magical artifact called a man-made dragon heart, which is probably unique in the world. This makes Lejin even more excited.

Kroya walked out of the blacksmith's shop, wearing a set of armor that Leijin had temporarily lent him. The quality and appearance were almost the same as the previous set. He had not yet forged a set of his own equipment. During the time Leijin was busy, Kroya could only practice some basic forging skills because he had no one to guide him. He did forge some ordinary weapons and equipment, but they were naturally far inferior to Leijin's skills.

However, Croa's two swords were crafted by himself.

Although the quality of these two swords was only barely acceptable in Leijin's opinion due to the limitations of his own forging skills, the hardness was definitely sufficient because Kroya had spent money to purchase some precious forging materials from Leijin and added them to them.

In addition, he also tried to inscribe magical runes on the sword. The combination of those magical runes all originated from the charged slash, which could increase the power of Kroya's charged slash by 30%, so it was more suitable for Kroya than most of the weapons in Leijin's shop.

Kroya arrived at the Adventurers' Guild. As he pushed open the door and entered, many eyes instinctively converged on the intruder. However, upon recognizing who he was, they tacitly withdrew their gazes to avoid being seen as having ill intentions or deliberately provoking him.

That's the White Devil...

The various noises within the guild quieted down considerably. The adventurers didn't want to cause trouble, especially since the tragic fate of those who had provoked Kroa last time was still fresh in their minds. Although the Adventurers' Guild claimed that their bodies were found in a large goblin lair, the adventurers knew very well that these people hadn't gone out to hunt goblins at all.

However, in one somewhat secluded spot in the northwest corner of the Adventurers' Guild, several adventurers were still arguing, their dispute seemingly escalating. But the Adventurers' Guild's rules only restricted violent conflicts between adventurers that could potentially maim or even kill each other; verbal matters were not a concern.

"Join our adventurer party! Look, we've taken on the same quests, so we can help each other out."

"After all, you're just a new adventurer. If you join us, we can give you some pointers."

"That's right, everyone has gone through this..."

This is undoubtedly a scam, and any experienced adventurer can see that—there aren't that many kind-hearted veteran adventurers in the world willing to guide a complete newbie, unless, of course, someone willing to pay money.

Most adventurers accumulate their experience through repeated crises, and therefore cherish it greatly.

There were five people sitting at the table. Four of them were veteran adventurers with brass nameplates around their necks, while the other was a novice adventurer who looked like he came from a farming background. He had no air of bravery, but his equipment looked exceptionally good.

"I've said it before, I won't join any adventurer's party," Perez said loudly and seriously, trying to scare them away. He knew the true nature of these adventurers, and he wouldn't easily trust any of them. In fact, he felt a deep aversion to any unfamiliar adventurer because of his father's death.

They did this for the armor I was wearing and the sword at my waist; they wanted to harm me and take my things!

"Don't be so heartless, our team is short-handed..."

However, the experienced adventurers continued to persist, feigning understanding but not backing down, while secretly mocking the newcomer in front of them, a guy named Perez who was a pushover.

How can you possibly shake off adventurers just by talking? No matter how serious your tone or how frightening your expression, it's all just bluffing. An experienced adventurer would probably punch them hard across the face at this point. Only a naive country bumpkin would be so foolish and hesitant.

Although this guy does seem wary of them, there's always a way to put him at ease. It will be a long process, but it's worth it for them.

After all, the equipment that kid was wearing was quite impressive; even among veteran adventurers, it was considered excellent. If they could kill that kid, all of that stuff would be theirs.

"I think he said he refused, didn't he?"

The leader felt a hand on his shoulder, which interrupted his thought process of how to gain the other party's trust. He was extremely annoyed and turned around angrily.

Who exactly is meddling in other people's business?

An adventurer team consisting of four seasoned adventurers is not something even elite-level adventurers would normally provoke. He wanted to see who was so audacious.

A white figure appeared before him. The adventurer recognized the person in an instant, after all, the person had recently become quite famous.

"It's never good to pester someone relentlessly..." The newcomer raised his fist, wearing pale gauntlets, and said in a seemingly kind manner.

"And he is my companion."

Perez showed an excited expression. He was somewhat taken aback by the suddenness of the event, but after that came excitement and a sense of relief.

Those eyes, without a doubt...

"Hello, Perez," Kroya said with a smile. "Welcome to the Adventurers' Guild in White Rock Town."
