The four essential elements for spiritual practice are nothing more than wealth, companions, Dharma, and environment.

Wealth is the sustenance for the path, ensuring unimpeded progress in all aspects of life; companions are fellow practitioners, providing mutual guidance and verification; the Dharma is the foundation of the path, determining the upper limit of future achievements in this life; the place is the practice ground, with only a quiet and blessed location being the best choice.

For spiritual practice to proceed smoothly, these four words are indispensable. For a practitioner like Zuo Ruotong, wealth and land are no longer problems. The only things that are truly hard to find are companions and Dharma.

The so-called fellow Daoists are not only those who share the same path in cultivation, but also those whose cultivation and comprehension are not too far apart. However, people like Zuo Ruotong are extremely rare in the world. Even the Celestial Master of Longhu Mountain is somewhat inferior to him.

As the foundation of the Dao, the "Triple Rebirth" is extremely difficult to cultivate. Apart from the legendary patriarch Lin Longjiang, no one in the Sanyi sect has been able to attain the third level since then, and there is no method for the third level within the sect...

Therefore, one should cultivate both methods to their utmost extent.

Therefore, there is no legal basis for action.

Zuo Ruotong's master, grandmaster, and senior uncles often said: "The Threefold Principle is the Dharma of Non-Action. Non-Action is formlessness. The only way to realize it is through enlightenment. If you cannot realize it... then your enlightenment is insufficient."

With this idea in mind, the disciples of the Trinity School have followed one after another for hundreds of years, spending their entire lives trying to understand, but ultimately achieving nothing and becoming nothing more than skeletons in those mountains...

Given Zuo Ruotong's talent, comprehension, and wisdom, it would be a lie to say that she never had any doubts.

However, he suspected that the problem wasn't with the law itself, but rather with the deficiency of the "third layer." In his view, the so-called "non-action law" was merely an excuse used by predecessors.

Regardless of the reason, this method may not be complete, but no one dares to believe it. The reason for not believing is the fear of facing the truth, which is to say, it is not sincere. Without sincerity, it is impossible to achieve success. Therefore, he has always had this goal in his practice:

You have to rely on yourself to fill this gap!

Throughout history, all those with exceptional talent who have the ability to look down upon the world have possessed pride and have more confidence in themselves than others.

The same goes for Zuo Ruotong.

The deeper one's spiritual practice, the stronger this sense of deficiency becomes, and the more certain one becomes of it.

Since the founder was able to create this "Triple Rebirth" on his own, he could also make up for the deficiencies on his own. So he began to explore and find a "way out" for himself and for the entire Sanyi Sect.

When all his attempts failed and he suffered serious physical injuries from a misstep, he chose the most clumsy yet safest method – “heading the ball”!

The so-called "heading the ball" means maintaining a state of "reverse life" at all times, immersing oneself in "reverse life" to gain insights and capture the inspiration that may appear at any moment in order to make progress.

However, this method is extremely taxing on one's life force and internal energy. To maintain it for a long time, in addition to having sufficient cultivation and energy, one also needs enough "innate energy." But without reaching the third level, simply relying on the Void Refining technique is not enough...

Then one must use one's own innate Qi to replenish it!

In this world, every living being is born with a wisp of primordial energy, which is the "material" left over from shaping their spirit and body, and is also the source of their life and their "lifespan".

Consuming one's innate Qi is consuming one's lifespan. Zuo Ruotong has been holding the ball for over thirty years, which means he has consumed over thirty years of his life. Therefore, although he is only in his early sixties, his true appearance is already that of an old man.

Of course, the reason he persisted so much, besides genuinely wanting to find a way out on his own, was also because his body was injured, leaving him with no other choice...

Given his physical condition, if the process of reversing his regeneration takes too long, it will endanger his life.

More than thirty years have passed, and his belief in the possibility of breaking through the triple barrier has changed from "firm" to "unknown." He must honestly face his own heart...

Whether I can achieve this in my lifetime.

He had begun to have doubts.

"But things are different now..."

Feeling the reversing life force flowing and growing stronger in her lower dantian, Zuo Ruotong's face showed a faint smile.

With this "fundamental method," the "triple" might no longer be just a pipe dream, especially with this young body possessing exceptional aptitude and natural talent...

He raised his hand, looked at the firm, vibrant skin of his palm, and clenched his fist.

Just then...

Knock knock knock!

A knock sounded at the door, and Zhang Xilin's voice came from outside: "How's it going? How much have you grasped?"

Zuo Ruotong felt a chill run down her spine.

He hadn't forgotten that in addition to taking on disciples and passing on the teachings, the other party also wanted to place a restriction on his body, which meant he was being controlled by someone else... but he was powerless to do anything about it at the moment.

"What's meant to happen will happen..."

Without much hesitation, Zuo Ruotong got up, opened the door, and welcomed him in: "Master, you've come at the right time. I just had a breakthrough..."

He explained his feelings, especially the "innate" part.

"You've actually come to this level of understanding?"

Although he knew that the boy was talented and had cultivated the art of reversing life, so it was only a matter of time before he grasped the key to life, the speed at which he did so far exceeded Zhang Xilin's expectations...

"Hmm, not bad!"

"Master..."

Since there's no way to avoid it, rather than waiting passively, it's better to take the initiative and fulfill one's duty as a disciple. Zuo Ruotong said earnestly, "You forgot about the restriction. Come on, I'm ready."

"Oh?"

Zhang Xilin was taken aback, gave him a deep look, and seeing his unwavering and clear gaze, couldn't help but ask, "Do you know what this means?"

"certainly."

"Once the restriction is formed, I will lose my freedom. Even if my master adds some hidden restrictions that endanger my life, I can only endure it."

"But a teacher for a day is a father for life. My master has passed on such a miraculous method to me, which is an immense favor. I will repay this favor. Therefore, I will accept whatever restrictions my master places on me."

"..."

"Good lad."

After hearing these words and feeling their sincerity, Zhang Xilin stared intently into the new disciple's eyes, trying to see through him.

No matter how he looked at it, his eyes were like a clear spring, and he could see the pebbles at the bottom of the spring at a glance. On each of them, there was a "firmness".

"Um……"

"That's really great!"

In Zhang Xilin's eyes, this couldn't be faked, and he couldn't help but sigh inwardly, "I really am lucky. At the very end, I still managed to encounter such a promising talent... Perhaps this is fate?"

He was initially hesitant because the decision he was about to make was a "high-stakes gamble," and once it was made, everything would be out of his control.

But looking into those eyes, he immediately felt confident.

"That's enough."

The next moment, Zhang Xilin waved his hand: "The restrictions were just to scare you. Now that I've accepted you as my disciple, I naturally have to trust you..."

"What if you trust the wrong person..."

"I guess I'll just have to accept my bad luck."

Upon hearing this, Zuo Ruotong froze, then saw him wave his hand: "Let's go, there's no need to mention this again..."

"Come and eat."
