The four continued deeper into the haunted house, where eerie green lights flickered in the narrow passageways, and the walls were adorned with tattered spiderwebs and rickety skull decorations.

Along the way, all sorts of strange ghosts and monsters appeared, some hanging upside down from the ceiling, some popping out from hidden compartments in the walls, and some stretching out pale hands from under the floor.

However, the quality of these ghosts and monsters is really not impressive.

A "ghost" draped in a white sheet floated out from around the corner. The sheet was stained with unwashed coffee, and a pair of A-cups were sticking out. It made a pattering sound as it walked.

A "zombie" crawled out of the coffin, its face smeared with paint as if a palette had been spilled, and it made "woo-woo-woo" sounds, which sounded more like it was humming a tune.

Another "vampire" jumped out of the shadows, its two plastic dentures dangling from its mouth, almost falling to the ground.

I don't know if it's meant to scare people or make them laugh.

Lisana went from being nervous at the beginning to being able to walk past a hanged man without changing her expression.

Elfman even stopped to comment on a "Frankenstein's monster" muscle prop.

"The muscle lines are drawn incorrectly; the proportions of the pectoralis major and deltoid muscles are completely out of balance."

Riyao sighed, put his hands in his pockets, and said in a tone full of disappointment.

"It's not exciting at all. It would be better to have Joseph release a few ghost soldiers, or let them in for a night. At least those two things are a bit creepy."

As soon as he finished speaking, a model of a disheveled female ghost suddenly popped out in front of him, emitting a piercing scream.

Juvia's voice came from the direction of the haunted house entrance, her tone filled with unwavering certainty, as if she had a radar installed inside her specifically to detect Gray.

"Juvia senses Lord Gray's presence!"

Lucy's voice followed immediately, her pitch a full eight octaves higher than usual.

"Huh, are we going into a haunted house?!"

Levy's voice trembled noticeably, as if she were making a last-ditch effort with her remaining sanity.

"Lucy, let's not go in."

You can tell who's coming just by the noise.

Lucy and Levy clung tightly to Juvia, the two of them hanging on either side of the eucalyptus tree like two koalas.

Lucy's hands were tightly wrapped around Juvia's left arm, while Levy's hands were gripping Juvia's right arm tightly. Both of their legs were trembling slightly.

Despite being supported by two men, Juvia's steps remained steady, her eyes shining with unwavering determination in the darkness, her only thought being to find her Lord Grey.

The haunted house welcomed its most gracious guests since its opening.

When Lucy and the others cautiously reached the location of Sunrise and the others, the passage suddenly fell silent, and even the background music stopped for a beat.

Then, Mirajane's head transformed into the shape of a Happy and suddenly popped out from around the corner.

The owner of the haunted house is working through the night to make headgear...

Levy didn't call out.

She simply rolled her eyes, leaned back, and fell straight into Lucy's arms, her whole body going limp like a puddle of water.

Juvia wasn't frightened by Sunburst and Mirajane's transformation, but she was startled by Lucy's earth-shattering scream.

Sunrise and Mirajane simultaneously deactivated their transformations, exchanged a smile, and tacitly raised their hands, giving each other a crisp high five in the air.

Lisana and Elfman emerged from the shadows beside them. Lisana clutched her stomach, laughing so hard she couldn't stand up straight, while Elfman covered his mouth with his fist, his shoulders swaying.

By the time everyone emerged from the haunted house, it was already dusk.

The clouds on the horizon were dyed in layers of orange-red by the setting sun, and a golden band of light stretched across the sea from the distant horizon all the way to the edge of the beach.

A salty sea breeze gently blew by, carrying the lingering warmth of the day and the early coolness of the evening.

Lucy and Levy walked at the very back, supporting each other, their faces paler than the ghosts in the haunted house.

The two said in unison that they never wanted to go to a haunted house again in their lives, and they would get angry with anyone who mentioned the word "haunted house" again.

The owner of the haunted house smiled with satisfaction.

Everyone arrived at the beach, where a bonfire party was being held.

A huge bonfire was burning brightly in the middle of the beach, its orange flames leaping and bathing everything in a warm glow.
