Fairy Tail: This Healing Mage's hits hurt so much!
Chapter 208 A Feast for the Senses
Natsu finally managed to get there by the touch, his steps unsteady.
"Wow! You guys just left me all alone! That's so unfair!"
He stormed into the manor hall, glaring at everyone with displeasure, looking just like a loyal dog abandoned by its owner on the roadside, utterly aggrieved.
"Want to have a big meal?"
Riyao sat at the dining table, holding a golden-brown roasted chicken leg in his hand, which was still steaming hot.
He glanced at Natsu casually, his tone as nonchalant as if he were asking about the weather.
"eat!"
Natsu's answer was crisp and decisive, without a moment's hesitation, instantly forgetting his previous grievances and accusations.
He switched from "angry mode" to "cooking mode" as if a switch had been flipped, and all he could see was the pile of food on the table.
Sunlight appeased Natsu with just one sentence, then casually pushed the shrimp in front of him toward him, a triumphant smile playing on his lips.
"Natsu is really easy to please."
Seeing how easily Natsu was coaxed, Lucy was speechless. The fork in her hand paused in mid-air, and then she shook her head helplessly.
Emerald Estate is located on a hilltop with sea views.
The estate is small but exquisite. Several coconut trees are planted in the yard, and the sea breeze blows from the distant sea. The sunset paints the sea surface with an orange-red hue, making it sparkle like a layer of scattered gold.
Jade specially arranged for the chef to prepare a sumptuous seafood feast, with the long table filled with grilled lobster, steamed crab, fried squid rings, seafood risotto, and creamy clam chowder.
There was also a large plate of steaming hot golden chicken legs, the aroma filling the entire restaurant, making your mouth water just by looking at them.
Riyao and Mirajane fed each other. Riyao peeled a shrimp and put it to Mirajane's mouth, and Mirajane opened his mouth and bit it.
Then she forked a piece of crab meat and fed it to Riyao, and Mirajane smiled with her eyes crinkling.
Whether the two of them were full or not, the people next to them felt like they were being stuffed full of dog food, each one more bloated than the last.
"Now I finally understand why Lisana doesn't go on commissions with the two of them."
Lucy forked a shrimp and stuffed it into her mouth, trying to get rid of the dog food taste in her mouth.
"Every time I see them like this, I feel like I'm eating lemon-dressed shrimp, it's so sour it hurts my teeth."
Wendy sipped her clam chowder slowly, stole a glance at Sunrise and Mirajane, then quickly lowered her head, her cheeks slightly flushed, and whispered to Charlotte.
"Brother Riyao and Sister Mira have a great relationship."
"Ugh, so sickeningly sweet."
Xia Lulu stuffed the fish fillet into her mouth.
After everyone finished dinner, Lucy and Wendy chatted around Emerald. The three of them sat on the manor's terrace, the sea breeze gently blowing their hair, and the moonlight shining on them, giving them a soft silver glow.
Lucy and Emerald, both Celestial Spirit Mages, got along extremely well.
The two chatted about everything from the details of the Protoss Pact to Balgo's quirks, from the Zodiac to the rarity of the Silver Key.
They became more and more excited as they talked, their voices grew louder and louder, and bursts of laughter erupted from time to time.
Riyao sat on a bench not far away, watching them interact, and couldn't help but think of the Grand Magic Games and the Dragon King Festival seven years later.
Hey, when did Rogge travel back in time? When did Emerald start preparing for the Eclipse Gate? I only remember the gist of what happened after that; it's been too long, and I can't remember many of the details.
There shouldn't be any major problems. Just focus on the dragon that summons minions and don't give it a chance to release them. That way, no one will be killed, and we can show off a bit, hehe.
It's almost time. The second source of magic will be activated soon, allowing for a deeper level of mimicry. We'll see then which dragon, the Azure Dragon of the East or the Giant Dragon of the West, will prevail.
Just imagining the scene of dragon breaths colliding and exchanging full force is enough to get anyone's blood pumping.
Thinking about how he would show off his skills in the future, the corners of his mouth couldn't help but curl up, and the smile spread from the corners of his mouth to the corners of his eyes. He exuded a smug "I am invincible" vibe.
Mirajane saw Sunshine smile, turned her head to look at him, poked his cheek with her finger, and gently pulled the soft flesh outward, wondering what he was thinking.
"What are you thinking about? You're laughing so happily."
"Thinking about our future, it must be wonderful."
Sunlight pulled Mirajane into his arms, rested his chin on her head, and blew on a tuft of hair on her forehead, causing the strands to flutter gently up and down.
He stared blankly at the swaying hair for a moment, then tightened his arms around Mirajane, holding her even closer.
Mirajane's fingers traced gentle circles on his chest, a tender smile curving her lips, her voice soft.
"Yes, it definitely will."
Gray lay comfortably on the lawn, gazing at the starry sky, his hands behind his head, a blade of grass dangling from his lips, and his legs crossed.
The sea breeze blew up from the hillside, cool and refreshing, making the grass stalks sway around his mouth.
Juvia moved slowly and carefully to Gray's side, gazing at the stars together. After a while, she finally got close to Gray.
She held her breath nervously, and only when she saw that Gray didn't dodge did she secretly breathe a sigh of relief, a satisfied smile appearing on her lips.
Gray figured he'd moved it, but figured it'd just follow him anyway, so he'd just pretend it didn't exist.
"Lord Gray is Juvia's star."
Jubia muttered to himself.
Gray turned away awkwardly, his back to Juvia, his ears burning red, and a blade of grass fell from the corner of his mouth.
He pretended to turn over to look at the starry sky on the other side, but his shoulders were very tense.
Happy suddenly appeared out of nowhere, covering his mouth and clicking his tongue. He covered his mouth with his little paws, his tail was held high, his eyes were curved into crescents, and he had a mischievous grin on his face.
"They're having an affair~"
Gray suddenly stood up, blushing and angry, his face turning red to the roots of his neck. He pointed at Happy with one finger and grabbed some grass from the ground with the other, throwing it at him.
"Harpy! Shut up!"
Riyao and Mirajane also noticed the commotion over there. Riyao tilted his head and watched for a while, a playful smile appearing on his lips.
Was Juvia driven by lust at first sight?
"Speaking of lust at first sight, didn't someone also have lust at first sight for me?"
Mirajane lifted her head in his arms, resting her chin on his chest, looking at him with an expression that said, "I remember everything," her lips slightly upturned, a mischievous glint in her smile.
"hey-hey……"
Riyao smiled like a cat that had just stolen some cream, hugging Mirajane even tighter and rubbing his chin against her head, not denying it at all, and even a little smug.
"That's called love at first sight. How can that be the same as lust at first sight? Mine was an appreciation of beauty."
"Oh? So what exactly is it that you admire about beauty?"
Mirajane tilted his head, gently poked his chest with his finger, and spoke with a dangerous sweetness in his voice.
"A pretty face! A slender figure!"
Riyao answered very quickly, almost as if he were answering first, with a serious expression.
Mirajane gave a soft hum and didn't press the matter further. She simply buried her face in his chest, her lips curving into a deeper smile.
Mirajane glanced at Lucy, then looked at Natsu, who was fast asleep on the ground.
Natsu lay sprawled on the lawn, mouth open, a trickle of drool at the corner of his mouth, his belly bulging from the delicious food, snoring loudly, occasionally smacking his lips, as if he were still enjoying the food in his dream.
"Natsu seems to have finally figured things out, he's been chasing after Lucy relentlessly."
"But they're both a bit slow, unlike me who's decisive, hmph."
As he spoke, Riyao deliberately puffed out his chest and raised his chin slightly, looking smug as if to say, "I'm an expert when it comes to pursuing people."
"Natsu doesn't know what love is, and Lucy doesn't know that Natsu is particularly special to her. They are both really oblivious."
Mirajane nodded, her fingers unconsciously tracing circles on the back of Sunrise's hand, her gaze shifting between Natsu and Lucy, before letting out a soft sigh.
"However, some things can't be rushed; they'll understand eventually."
The two whispered gossip about their guildmates, teasing the various couples, from Natsu and Lucy to Gray and Juvia... Their voices grew softer and softer, but their smiles became increasingly sly, like two little spies exchanging secrets in a corner.
Erza had somehow appeared beside the two of them. As she listened, her face turned bright red, her body stiffened, and her hands were at a loss for what to do. The blush spread from her neck to the tips of her ears, and even the collar of her armor couldn't hide the embarrassment on her face.
"Hey, Erza, what are you doing here? You're disturbing my time with Mira."
Sunlight deliberately hugged Mirajane tighter, turned his head to look at Erza, and said in a teasing tone.
"Oh my god, I heard from Sunrise that Erza also has someone she likes, and someone secretly admires you. Our fairy queen is really popular."
Mirajane peeked out from Sunrise's embrace, smiling at Erza with a mischievous glint in her eyes, like an elegant cat slowly teasing its prey.
Erza's face turned as red as if it were about to bleed. She stammered, unable to utter a complete sentence. Her lips opened and closed repeatedly, and her hands were tightly clasped together, her knuckles turning white from tension.
Her voice was soft and hurried, as if it were being squeezed out from between her teeth.
"I... didn't... it wasn't..."
Her gaze darted around, never daring to meet Riyao and Mirajane's eyes. Finally, she turned around and walked away quickly with stiff steps.
The fleeing figure was particularly conspicuous, the metal armor gleaming faintly in the moonlight, and the hurried, chaotic footsteps gradually faded into the distance.
