Fairy Tail: This Healing Mage's hits hurt so much!

Chapter 230 Regeneration of Severed Limbs

When people have too many things to do, their procrastination tends to kick in. Riyao understands this well and practices what he preaches.

Riyao lay lazily on a thick branch of a sycamore tree, one leg dangling from the branch and the other dangling in mid-air.

He had a blade of grass in his mouth, his hands behind his head, gazing at the dappled light filtering through the leaves, not wanting to move at all.

Gildarts arrived under the sycamore tree, looked up at the swaying leg hanging in the tree, and felt a throbbing in his temples.

"Hey kid, you've been lying here for three days, it's time to give me some treatment."

"Oh, it's been three days already? I don't really feel like moving."

Riyao rolled over and found a more comfortable position.

"Besides, your prosthetic limb is working perfectly fine."

Gildarts bent down, picked up a pebble, and flicked it precisely at Sunshine's calf.

"Ouch!"

Riyao pulled his leg back slightly, but still showed no intention of getting down. He just wriggled his body and moved a little closer to the tree trunk.

Without a word, Gildarts kicked off the tree trunk, jumped onto the branches in a few quick movements, grabbed Sunshine by the back of his collar, and lifted him down like a chick.

Riyao's toes circled twice in the air, and a blade of grass fell out of his mouth.

"Why are you so lazy these days? You used to be so diligent!"

"Let me lie down for a few more days. I'm working on some inspiration for treatment. Maybe I can even give you three heads and six arms."

Sunburst tried to break free, but Gildarts's hand was like an iron clamp, completely immobile.

"Oh dear, I'm having trouble using this prosthetic leg. My fingers won't obey me, and I can't even hold a wine glass properly. Can you bear to see an old man living like this?"

Gildarts raised his prosthetic hand and waved it in front of the Sunshine. The hand was indeed stiff, the fingers trembled slightly, and the grip was not very smooth.

Riyao sighed, finally straightened up, and patted the bark scraps off his clothes.

"Alright, alright, let's go, stop rushing us."

Sunlight led Gildarts into the Wonderful House, and the moment they opened the door, a mixture of herbs and disinfectant wafted out.

Sunlight streamed in through the window, and various bottles and jars were neatly arranged on the shelves. The operating table was in the center of the room, surrounded by all sorts of strange and unusual torture tools.

"The name you gave this experimental hut... is quite unique."

Gildarts looked around, his lips twitching.

"Right? I think so too. It's catchy and unforgettable."

Riyao gave a smug thumbs-up.

After he finished speaking, he told Gildarts to remove the prosthetic leg and lie down properly, while he went to the side to prepare the tools.

Gildarts removed his prosthetics, revealing his supple left arm and left leg.

He lay on the operating table, shifting restlessly a few times; the cold metal surface gave him goosebumps.

"Lying down here doesn't feel very safe; I feel like a fish on a chopping board."

Riyao asked without turning his head.

"Relax, do you need anesthesia?"

Gildarts' eyes lit up, and he quickly agreed.

"Huh, they have anesthetic now? Let's administer it!"

Riyao turned around, his smile utterly irritating.

Just kidding, no, just bear with it.

Gildarts's lips twitched. He tried to sit up from the operating table, but then lay back down.

"You little brat... you're really awful."

Sunrise pulled a saw from the tool rack, its teeth gleaming coldly under the light, and waved it in front of Gildarts.

Gildarts' body trembled violently, and the color drained from his face.

"Hey, are you kidding me?"

"You're so smart."

Riyao put the saw back and replaced it with an extremely sharp scalpel, its blade as thin as a cicada's wing and gleaming with a cold, silvery light.

He held up a scalpel, his tone so affected it sounded like he was chanting some strange incantation.

"I have a knife that can remove hemorrhoids, remove kidneys, and cut off the appendix."

Gildarts rolled his eyes, but his tense shoulders visibly relaxed.

"Stop fooling around and hurry up, or I'm going to cause a scene at the hospital."

Sunburst pouted, reached out and rubbed Gildarts's bouncy severed arm, feeling the condition of the scar tissue. Then, the scalpel glowed with a bright green light, and the blade slowly cut into the edge of the old wound.

The scar tissue was peeled away layer by layer with fluid movements, each cut precise to the millimeter, though it wasn't actually that precise.

Gildarts gasped, let out a strange cry, and instinctively shrank back.

"Hiss~ Eeya."

Riyao didn't even look up, continuing to steadily cut with the scalpel.

"If you make that weird noise again, I'll really take your kidney."

Gildarts chuckled and quickly shut his mouth, remaining silent.

The wounds were all beautifully cut by the sun, without a single drop of blood flowing out. A thin protective film of emerald green magic formed on the surface of the wounds, and the muscles inside could be seen rhythmically pulsating, as if breathing.

Riyao straightened up and stretched his wrists.

"Alright, first step complete."

Then he casually stuck the scalpel to the side.

The scalpel plunged into Gildarts' thigh with a "thud," the blade still trembling slightly.

Gildarts was in so much pain he almost jumped off the operating table, staring at the scalpel stuck in his thigh, his face turning green.

"You brat! What are you doing?!"

Riyao innocently pulled out the scalpel, and the wound healed quickly under the influence of the emerald green magic, leaving not even a mark.

"Sorry, sorry, I'm used to carving things, my hand slipped."

With a flick of his wrist, Riyao's scalpel traced a silver line in the air before striking the target on the wall with a resounding "thud," penetrating to the very center.

Gildarts's eyes twitched, his mouth twitched again and again, and he pointed at the scalpel, unable to speak for a long time.

"You..."

Sunburst patted Gildarts on the shoulder, his tone flippant.

"You're just gloating. If you go to Granny Poliusika's place, she'll slap you across the face while she's treating you, and you'll have to obediently take it."

Gildarts considered Granny Poryusica's temper and silently shut his mouth.

"It seems that's indeed the case..."

Sunlight suppressed his smile, reached out and placed his hand on Gildarts' chest, his palm against the warm skin, and emerald green magic seeped from his palm.

Like a dense root system, it slowly seeped into Gildarts' body, spreading along his blood vessels and meridians.

Soon, a strange change occurred in Gildarts.

The person was emitting a faint green light, which shone through the skin. The green light was most intense at the wound site, and it was visibly pulsating.

Gildarts saw that Sunbeam had his eyes closed, his brows slightly furrowed, and his expression focused and serious, completely different from the joking guy from before.

He didn't ask if the glowing was normal, afraid of disturbing the sun's performance, even though the green color made him uneasy.

I still feel a slight itch at the wound site, as if countless ants are crawling under my skin, both numb and itchy.

But that itch wasn't an unpleasant itch; it was a feeling of new life.

Sunlight infused life energy into Gildarts' body, manipulating magic to condense it into a seed, which then took root within his body.

Riyao opened his eyes, let out a long breath, and saw fine beads of sweat on his forehead.

"You've completed the second step too. Your physical fitness is truly impressive."

After he finished speaking, he walked to the side, lifted a pink cloth, and inside was a large wooden barrel filled with a bright green liquid. The liquid was bubbling slightly on the surface and exuded a strong herbal aroma.

"Come in, just sleep for a day. The medicine will work with the seeds inside your body to help you grow your hands and feet back."

Gildarts sat up abruptly, braced himself against the operating table with one hand, and leaped into the air, landing in a beautiful arc into the wooden tub, splashing out a few drops of the emerald green liquid.

He immersed himself in the medicinal liquid, letting out a comfortable sigh as all his muscles relaxed, the warm liquid enveloping his body.

"Hiss~ Wuhu, that's awesome!"

Riyao turned around, ready to leave.

"Okay, you stay here. See you tomorrow."

"How about you get me some wine? It's so uncomfortable sitting here like this..."

Before Gildarts could finish speaking, his eyelids began to droop, his head lolled against the barrel, and he instantly fell asleep, his snores echoing through the quiet little house.

"How thoughtful of me! I added some calming herbs inside, so you won't move around too much and affect your recovery."

After saying this to himself, Riyao walked out of the Magic House, closed the door behind him, and hung a wooden sign on the door that read "Do Not Disturb".

After thinking for a moment, he added a small line of text below: "There are perverts taking a bath inside. Anyone who peeks will bear the consequences."
