As Levy writes, magic surges forth.

Two words appeared in the air, and the moment they landed, sand and water gushed out from the ground, mixing into a mudslide that swept towards Mester and Wendy.

Mester reacted quickly, grabbing Wendy and flashing to the nearby rock.

He had just steadied himself when he heard the sound of wind breaking overhead.

Talos leaped down from above, wielding his giant axe, the blade carrying immense force as it hurtled towards the two men's heads.

Mester's pupils contracted, and she flashed again.

boom!

The giant axe cleaved the rocks to pieces, sending fragments flying everywhere.

Talos swung his axe and exhaled a heavy breath from his nostrils.

Lucy saw how agile they were and realized that things couldn't continue like this.

She summoned Taurus and took out the Sagittarius key.

"Sagittarius! Sachidarius! Open the door!"

A flash of golden light appeared, and Sachdarius appeared on the battlefield, snorting as his horse-head hood swayed.

"How can I help you?"

"Attack them, but don't shoot vital areas."

"Understood."

Lucy herself wasn't idle either.

【Star Spirit Robe】

She cast a castrated version of the Celestial Robe, magic coalescing in her hand, and a Sagittarius longbow appeared out of thin air.

The bow gleamed with a faint golden light, and the bowstring emitted a slight hum when taut.

The man and his horse simultaneously drew their bows, aiming their arrows at Mester and Wendy, and fired in rapid succession.

The arrows drew arcs in the air, blocking the two men's escape routes from different angles.

Mester, carrying Wendy, teleported repeatedly, her figure flashing through the cave, each arrow narrowly missing its mark.

"This guy's teleportation is so annoying!"

Lucy gritted her teeth, her fingers barely stopping on the bowstring.

Mester lost his grip, and Wendy slipped from his hand.

"what!"

Wendy fell into the mud, her feet sinking in. The sticky mud clung to her legs, and she couldn't pull them out.

"Oops."

Mester's expression changed.

Levy put her hands on her hips and laughed triumphantly.

"Hehe, once you're trapped, it's hard to get out."

Lucy and Sachdarius immediately aimed at Wendy and fired several arrows at the same time.

The arrow pierced the air and headed straight for Wendy.

【Tianlong's Wing Attack】

Wendy wrapped her arms around the whirlwind, the blue wind spinning rapidly on her arms.

She waved her hands, and the wind blades blocked all the incoming arrows, cutting them into pieces.

"Phew, that was close."

Wendy patted her chest, her little face full of tension.

While Lucy and Levy were focused on Wendy, Mester teleported behind Levy.

He kicked it out.

Levy heard the sound of the wind and only had time to raise her hand to block it. She was kicked back two steps and her arm went numb.

"A sneak attack is not a good idea!"

Lucy turned and fired an arrow, which grazed past Meester's ear, forcing him to retreat.

When Mester reappeared, she was already in front of Lucy.

Lucy's eyes widened in surprise.

"That's such a blatant cheating!"

Before she could finish speaking, Meester threw a punch, hitting Lucy squarely in the stomach.

Lucy was sent flying and crashed into Sachidarius, the two of them rolling around in a heap.

"Lucy!"

Levy wanted to rush over to help, but out of the corner of her eye she noticed Wendy's cheeks puffing out.

【The Roar of the Heavenly Dragon】

A white whirlwind shot out from Wendy's mouth and roared toward Rebecca.

【3D Text - Earth】

Levy quickly wrote, and the character for "earth" formed an earthen wall in front of her.

She deliberately tilted the earthen wall slightly to redirect Wendy's roar elsewhere. The whirlwind scraped against the wall and slammed into the cave ceiling, sending rubble crashing down.

"That was close!"

Lucy wasn't idle either. She waved her hand to recall Sagittarius, jumped back to dodge Mester's pursuit, flipped in mid-air, and took out the Virgo key.

"Baruge, open the door!"

"Your Highness, please feel free to give me your orders."

Balgo appeared on the battlefield, still wearing those familiar shackles.

"Stop joking, let's get started!"

Baroque responded and joined the fray, engaging Meester in battle.

Her close-combat skills were formidable; she pressed her advantage relentlessly, forcing Mester to retreat repeatedly.

Lucy simultaneously activated her Virgo Celestial Cloth, and shackles and chains similar to those worn by Balrog appeared on her wrists.

The chains rattled on her wrists as she swung them into the fight.

"It would have been even better if we could have summoned Leo, what a pity."

The two, one human and one star spirit, worked together seamlessly and quickly gained the upper hand.

Mester didn't go all out either, after all, he wasn't really there for the assessment.

He had originally planned to just go through the motions and then explore the island.

The situation is pretty much settled now.

On the other side, Wendy, using the force of her roar, finally managed to break free from the mud.

Her feet were covered in mud as she ran toward Levy.

"I am coming!"

"Come on, why are you shouting so loudly?"

The two little ones started fighting, and the scene was quite lively.

The Iron Fist of the Heavenly Dragon

Wendy's little fist, enveloped in a whirlwind, slammed into Levy.

Levy wrote down five words in one breath, unleashing her full magical power.

As the character for "earth" fell, stone ridges emerged from the ground, blocking Wendy's little fist.

The character "木" (wood) transformed into vines, which wrapped around Wendy's body from all directions.

"what!"

[Enhanced Magic/Power]

Wendy shouted, her magic erupting within her, forcefully breaking free of the vines.

Levy took two steps back, and the words "water" and "fire" collided in mid-air.

laugh!

A large amount of water vapor exploded, and a white fog instantly obscured the view.

Wendy looked around, but couldn't see anything.

The gold lettering transformed into an iron net, descending from above and completely ensnaring Wendy.

"what!"

Wendy struggled in the wire mesh for a moment, but the mesh only tightened.

Levy chuckled and clapped her hands.

"General! If the gold lettering turns into an iron sword, then I've won!"

On Lucy's side, Mester was buried in the ground, with only her head sticking out.

He looked completely exhausted; it was hard to tell if he was genuinely tired or just pretending.

Lucy and Levy gave each other a high five.

"yeah!"

Wendy clutched the wire mesh, staring longingly at Levy, her big eyes filled with grievance.

Levy stuck out her tongue and quickly untied the wire mesh.

"Alright, alright, the spell is off now."

Wendy crawled out of the wire mesh, rubbing her wrists which were red from being bound, and muttered to herself.

"Miss Levy is too cunning. She uses so many words at once; it's impossible to react to them all at once."

"That's called tactics, Wendy."

Levy wagged her finger triumphantly.

Mester stared at the dirt on the ground for a long time, then stuck out her tongue and licked it.

"Don't eat dirt, you idiot!"

Lucy exclaimed in surprise, completely stunned.

Who the hell is this guy? Are there no normal people in this guild? Licking dirt, what kind of operation is that?

Levy couldn't help but complain too.

"Um, Mr. Mester, dirt doesn't taste good."

Mester paused, as if only then realizing what she was doing.

"Ahem, I was just suddenly curious about what soil tastes like."

Lucy sighed and rubbed her stomach where Mester had hit her.

The battle is over, and the best friend duo advances.
